Hi Stampers! Today’s card is using the

Floating & Fluttering stamp set.

There’s a lot you can do with this stamp set, but for this card, I chose to make it super simple! I’ll be showing you a card using the coordinating dies soon.

Dimensions

  • Magenta Madness: 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″
  • Bermuda Bay: 4″ x 5 1/4″
  • Basic Black: 3 1/2″ x 4 1/2″
  • Shimmery White: 3 1/4″ x 4 1/4″

Directions

    1. Stamp the butterflies and leaves on the Shimmery White cardstock using Memento Black ink.
    2. Stamp the insides of the butterfly using the bold stamps by inking the stamp then stamping on scrap paper before stamping inside the outline stamp.
    3. Use the detail stamp to stamp by inking it up and using it directly.
    4. Ink up the bold stamps that go inside the leaves with Granny Apple Green and stamp. Use the dark Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blend to colour highlight on to the leaves.
    5. Adhere the Shimmery White cardstock on the Basic Black cardstock then to the Bermuda Bay cardstock.
    6. Colour the ribbon with the dark Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blend. Adhere the ends of the ribbon to the back of the cardstock. Take a smaller piece of ribbon and tie a knot around the first ribbon.
    7. Adhere the layers to the card.
    8. Stamp the greetings from the Many Messages stamp on to Basic Black cardstock using Whisper White Craft Pad. Cut out greetings using the die and save the remainder of the greetings for future cards. Add the greeting to the card using dimensionals.

Hello Snail

Hi Stampers! Today, I’m going to show you another card using the

Snailed It stamp set by Stampin’ Up!

It is such a fun stamp set to create with!!! I coloured the snail and the background with the Water Painters and Stamp Pads.

Dimensions

  • Magenta Madness: 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ scored at 4 1/4″
  • Granny Apple Green: 4″ x 5 1/4″
  • Watercolor Paper: 3 3/4″ x 5″

Directions:

  1. Use the widest Water Painter to add Granny Apple Green ink in a circular motion on the Watercolor Paper. I pressed the ink pad on to a stamping block, then picked up the colour from there while mixing the ink with small amounts of water.
  2. Once dry, pick up a bit more concentrated colour with your Water Painter and tap on top to add speckles of colour.
  3. Stamp the snail on Watercolor Paper using Stazon ink and let dry so that it doesn’t smear during watercolouring. (I used my heat tool to speed up the drying process.)
  4. Use the small Water Painter to watercolour the snail. Let dry then cut out using the matching die.
  5. Cut ends of each of the thin strips then adhere them to the card front. Adhere each layer to the card.
  6. Add the snail to the card using Dimensionals.
  7. Add a couple of embellishments above the snail.

Snailed It with Stampin’ Up!

The Snailed It stamp set is just about the cutest stamp set EVER and the Designer Series Paper (DSP) is adorable!

Measurements: 

  • Blushing Bride: 8 ½”  x  5 ½”  in half to be 4 ¼” x 5 ½”, a piece 2 1/8″ x 2 3/8″
  • Designer Series Paper (DSP) 5¼” x 4″ AND ¾”  x  5 ¼”
  • Basic White 3 3/4″  x  5″ for inside and 2 ¼” x 2″
  • Daffodil Delight 1 x 5 ¼

Instructions:

  1. Stamp the snail on the smallest basic white piece and colour with blends then attach to the blushing bride layer.
  2. Attach the large DSP layer to the blushing bride base. Then attach the daffodil delight and DSP strip to the front of the card.
  3. Attach the Snail and Blushing Bride on top of the DSP strip.
  4. Fussy cut a word bubble from the DSP and attach it to the front using dimensionals.
  5. Fussy cut two mushrooms from the DSP and attach them to the bottom right of the card with snail and mini dimensionals.
  6. Fussy cut a snail character and attach to the basic white layer for the inside of the card and stamp You Snailed It in Bermuda Bay ink.
  7. Finish the card by adding shimmery crystal effects on the front of the card to the snail’s eyes and under the snail.
    MAKE SURE TO LEAVE TIME TO LET THIS DRY.

Mother’s Day Window

I know Mother’s Day is a ways away, but, I thought I’d show you the

Welcoming Window stamp set

by Stampin’ Up! today! Though I made this a Mother’s Day card, there are other great greetings that you can use in this set.

Dimensions

  • Night of Navy: 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″
  • Rococo Rose: 4″ x 5 1/4″
  • Basic White: 3 3/4″ x 5″

Directions

  1. Stamp the bricks on to the Basic White cardstock. (My ink pad is not very “inky” which I liked. If you want your pattern lighter, stamp on scrap paper before stamping on the background). Adhere the cardstock to the Rococo Rose cardstock.
  2. Wrap a piece of ribbon around the 2 cardstocks and adhere the ends to the back. Take another smaller piece of ribbon and wrap it in a knot around the first ribbon piece. Adhere to the card.
  3. Stamp the window and the shutters in Night of Navy ink on Basic White cardstock and cut out using the coordinating dies.
  4. Cut out the hinges and the window sill with Basic Black cardstock. Adhere the hinges to the shutters.
  5. Adhere the window and the window sill to the card using Multipurpose Glue.
  6. To add shutters to the card, I placed 1 layer of dimensionals to the inside part of the shutter and 2 layers of dimensionals to the outside part of the shutter.
  7. Stamp the jug using Cinnamon Cider ink and the flowers using Granny Apple Green and Rococo Rose ink on to Basic White cardstock. Cut out each using the coordinating dies.
  8. Add the jug and the flowers to the card using Dimensionals.
  9. Stamp the greeting using Rococo Rose ink on Basic White cardstock. Add to the card using Dimensionals.

Kangaroo Baby

Hi Stampers! Today, I’m showing you a sweet card using the

Kangaroo & Company Stamp Set from Stampin’ Up!

What I love about this stamp set is how versatile it is. It has so many different greetings and it’s a bonus that you can get it as a bundle with its coordinating dies!

KANGAROO & COMPANY PHOTOPOLYMER STAMP SET STAMPIN UP

Dimensions

  • Flirty Flamingo: 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″
  • Real Red: 4″ x 5 1/4″
  • From My Heart Designer Paper: 2 3/4″ x 5 1/4″
  • Basic White: 2 5/8″ x 3 7/8″

Directions

  1. Adhere the designer paper to the Real Red cardstock.
  2. Cut 2 pieces of the Blushing Bride and 1 piece of the Whisper White twine a bit longer than the cardstock and adhere the ends to the back of the card.
  3. Cut 1 more piece of twine in each colour and use them to tie a bow around the twine.
  4. Use the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine to cut out a 2 5/8″ x 3 7/8″” Stitched Rectangle from the Stitched Rectangle Dies. Add to the card using Dimensionals.
  5. Stamp the big and the little kangaroo along with the small heart on a piece of Shimmery White cardstock using Memento ink. Let dry or heat set the ink so that the ink does not bleed when colouring.
  6. Colour the 2 kangaroos and the heart using Stampin’ Blends. Use the coordinating dies to cut each of them out using the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine.
  7. Cut a slit on the top of the pouch of the big Kangaroo. I used one blade of the Paper Snips like an Exacto knife.
  8. Tuck the small kangaroo into the slit and adhere it to the back-side.  Adhere the heart on top.
  9. Add the kangaroos to the card using Dimensionals.
  10. Stamp the greeting on Flirty Flamingo cardstock and cut out using the small rectangle die. Use Dimensionals on the top of the greeting and Multipurpose Glue on the bottom to add it to the card.
  11. Add a Real Red heart from the Resin Hearts package.
