Hey Purple Chick- new products!

Today’s the day for new products!!! We already had the Hey Birthday Chick stamp set, but, now we have its matching dies PLUS the Hey Chick stamp set is back with matching dies now!!!

The chickens from the Hey Chick and Hey Birthday Chick stamp sets are fun to colour in different colours. Who says chickens can’t be purple and pink??

Dimensions

  • Flirty Flamingo: 5 11/2″ x 8 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″
  • Basic White: 4″ x 5 1/4″
  • Designer Paper: 2″ x 5 1/4″
  • Stitched Circle Die: 3″

Directions

  1. Adhere the designer paper to the Basic White cardstock.
  2. Place the ribbon and the twine on top of the designer paper and adhere the ends to the back. Take a smaller piece of the ribbon & twine and wrap it around to tie a knot. Adhere the layer to the card.
  3. Cut out the 3″ circle using the Stitched Shapes Dies. Adhere to the card.
  4. Cut out the trellis shape using the die with Basic Black cardstock. Adhere it on top of the circle.
  5. Stamp the chicken on Shimmery White cardstock using Memento Black ink. Cut out using the coordinating Die.
  6. Colour the chicken using Stampin’ Blends markers. Add to the card using Dimensionals.
  7. Stamp the greeting on Basic Black cardstock, then cut out using the small oval from the Stitched Shapes Dies. Add to the card using Dimensionals.

Best of Cluck!

Did you know that next month (Feb. 2021), Stampin’ Up! will have dies to go with the Hey Birthday Chick stamp set AND they are bringing back the Hey Chick stamp set with new coordinating dies! 🙂

I really enjoyed colouring this card with fun colours!

Dimensions

  • Mango Melody: 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″, scored at 4 1/2″
  • Basic White: 4″ x 5 1/4″
  • Real Red: 3″ x 5 1/4″
  • Shimmery White: 2 3/4″ x 5″

Directions

  1. Stamp the chicken & greeting on the Shimmery White cardstock using Memento Black ink. Let dry for a short time or heat set to speed up the process to ensure that the ink does not smear when colouring.
  2. Use the Stampin’ Blends to colour the chicken. I started with the Dark Real Red, then Light Real Red, then Dark Mango Melody and lastly Light Mango Melody. I did a lot of blending by using the Light Real Red and the Light Mango Melody in a circular motion.
  3. Outline the chicken with the Light Pool Party Stampin’ Blend.
  4. Create a mask by stamping the chicken on scrap paper and cutting it out. Add it on top of the coloured chicken, then tap the Dark Real Red and the Dark Basic Black Stampin’ Blends against something so that it creates specks on the card.
  5. Colour the ribbon using the Dark Real Red Stampin’ Blend. Add it to the card by adhering the ends to the back of the card. Use a smaller ribbon to wrap around it and tie it in a knot.
  6. Use the Subtle Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing to add texture to the Basic White cardstock.
  7. Adhere all the layers to the card then add 3 Mango Melody Artistry Blooms Sequins.

Birthday Chicken

The Hey Birthday Chick stamp set is perfect for colouring!

I used Stampin’ Blend Markers to colour and I couldn’t decide exactly how I wanted to colour the chicken, so I made 2 different versions.

Version 1

Dimensions

  • Smoky Slate: 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″
  • Basic Black: 4″ x 5 1/4″
  • Shimmery White: 3 3/4″ x 5

Directions

  1. Stamp the chicken and the greeting on the Shimmery White cardstock using Memento ink.
  2. Colour the chicken with Stampin’ Blends. Add dots of Chalk Marker in various spots.
  3. To colour the balloon, I started with a layer of dark Crumb Cake Blend Marker on the right-hand side of the balloon. Cover with the dark Cherry Cobbler Stampin’ Blend leaving a small circle uncovered. Use the light Cherry Cobbler Stampin’ Blend to fill in and blend the darker colours. Use the Chalk Marker to add a highlight on the balloon.
  4. Make a large outline around the chicken using the Light Pool Party Stampin’ Blend.
  5. Stamp another chicken and balloon on scrap paper to create a mask and cut out using Paper Snips. (You don’t have to be very careful). Use the mask to cover the coloured chicken and balloon.
  6. Use the Dark Basic Black Stampin’ Blend to tap on something so that you create specks around the image.

Treat Yourself to Ice Cream

I scream! You scream! We all scream for ICE CREAM!!!

The Sweet Ice Cream bundle comes with the stamp set and an ice cream punch!

Dimensions

  • Blackberry Bliss: 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″
  • Rococo Rose: 4″ x 5 1/4″
  • Basic White: approx. 3″ x  4″ die

Directions

  1. Stamp dots on the upper-right corner and lower-left corner of the Rococo Rose cardstock using the matching ink pad.
  2. Wrap the ends of the ribbon around the cardstock and adhere them to the back. Use a smaller piece of ribbon to tie in a knot.
  3. Cut out a Basic White scallop rectangle using the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss and the Stitched So Sweetly Dies. Adhere to the card.
  4. Punch out the cone and 3 scoops of ice cream from the Ice Cream Corner Designer Paper. Add them to the cards using Dimensionals.
  5. Stamp the greeting on to Basic White cardstock using the Rococo ink pad and cut out using Paper Snips. Add the card using Dimensionals.
  6. Add some Woven Threads Sequins around the card using the Fine-Tip Glue Pen.

Birthday Popsicles

I’m already ready for spring & summer!! 🙂 The

Sweet Ice Cream stamp set and bundle

include ice cream cones, sprinkles, birthday greetings, sweet sentiments, and more, that will make everyone’s heart melt. It’s perfect for thank you cards, birthday cards, and other papercraft!

Dimensions

  • Bumblebee: 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″
  • Basic White: 4″ x 5 1/4″
  • Ice Cream Corner Designer Paper: 1 1/2″ x 5 1/4″

Direction

  1. Ink up the greeting using the Terracotta Tile ink on “Happy” and Bermuda Bay ink on the “Birthday”.
  2. Adhere the Designer Paper to the Basic White cardstock, then to the card.
  3. Stamp the popsicles by stamping the bottom directly after inking up the stamp. Stamp the top part by stamping it on scrap paper first before stamping it on top of the popsicle. Stamp the polka dots on top.
  4. Stamp the stick part by inking up the outline and the wood grain and stamping directly onto the paper. Stamp the inside colour by stamping on scrap paper first.
  5. Cut out the popsicle and stick using Paper Snips. Adhere the stick to the back of the popsicle. Tie a knot around the sticks and then tie it into a bow. Add to the card using Dimensionals.
  6. Add 3 Calypso Coral sequins from the Artistry Blooms Adhesive-Backed Sequins pack on the bottom left of the card.
