A Tasty Treat

On yesterday’s blog post, you got to see a birthday card using the Sweets & Treats stamp set by Stampin’ Up! Today, I am sharing with you a Christmas version. This stamp set is quite versatile!

Dimensions

  • Cherry Cobbler: 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″
  • Old Olive: 4″ x 5 1/4″
  • Designer Paper: 2 1/2″ x 5 1/4″

 

Directions

  1. Stamp the Old Olive cardstock randomly with hearts using the matching ink pad. Adhere the layer to the card.
  2. Adhere the designer paper to the Old Olive cardstock.
  3. Cut out the tag using the die from the Stitched So Sweetly dies.
  4. Use the blending brush to add ink to the tag. Pick up some ink using a Water Painter and flick it to add speckles to the tag. Adhere the tag to the card.
  5. Stamp the base and the plum pudding onto a piece of Shimmery White cardstock. Colour using Stampin’ Blends, then cut them out using Paper Snips. Add Wink of Stella to the white part of the plum pudding and the poinsettia. Add them to the card using Dimensionals.
  6. Stamp the greeting on a piece of Shimmery White cardstock using Cherry Cobbler ink, then cut it out using the die from the Stitched So Sweetly set. Add it to the card using Dimensionals.
  7. Tie a bow using the silver ribbon and add it to the top of the greeting using a Mini Glue Dot.
  8. Add a Rhinestone to the base of the pedestal.

Birthday Cupcakes

The Sweets & Treats stamp set is so much fun to stamp with. For this card, I asked my husband if I should use the cupcake, pie or plum pudding and he chose the cupcake!! I think he picked correctly!! I love how it turned out.

Dimensions

  • Granny Apple Green: 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″
  • 2021-2023 Designer Series Paper: 4″ x 5 1/4″
  • Shimmery White: approx. 3″ x 4″ Stitched So Sweetly die

Directions:

  1. Take a piece of ribbon (approx. 4 1/2″ long), lay it on top of the designer paper and adhere the ends to the back.
  2. Adhere the designer paper to the card.
  3. Cut out a scallop rectangle using Shimmery White cardstock.
  4. Stamp the base of the cupcake holder on the bottom of the cutout scallop rectangle using Memento ink.
  5. Stamp the cover part of the holder making sure that the bottom line is close to the base.
  6. Use the Light Pool Party Stampin’ Blend and colour the inside of the cover. Adhere the layer to the card.
  7. Stamp 3 cupcakes on a piece of scrap Shimmery White cardstock using Memento ink, then use Paper Snips to cut them out.
  8. Colour the cupcakes using Stampin’ Blends. Add Wink of Stella on top of the icing on the cupcakes.
  9. Adhere the bottom cupcakes inside the holder using Liquid Glue. Add the 3rd cupcake using Dimensionals.
  10. Add the hearts to the cupcakes using the Fine-Tip Glue Pen.
  11. Stamp the greeting on Shimmery White cardstock using Memento ink and cut it out using Paper Snips.
  12. Tie a bow with the Crinkled Ribbon and add to the card using a Mini Glue Dot.

If Friends Were Pumpkins

Measurements:

  • Crumb Cake: 8-1/2” x 5-1/2” scored at 4-1/4”
  • Basic Black: 3-1/4” x 4-1/2”
  • Pumpkin Pie: 3-1/4” x 4-1/2”
  • Basic White: 4-1/4” x 5-1/2”
  • Ribbon: 4”

Instructions:

  1. Use the third largest stitched rectangle die to cut the Pumpkin Pie card stock. Stamp the layer with the pumpkin trio stamp and Pumpkin Pie ink to create a pumpkin patch.
  2. Adhere the stamped pumpkin layer onto the black mat and adhere to the front of the card.
  3. Cut the second largest tag die from one end of white card stock. Stamp “friends” sentiment in black on the tag, then attach ribbon through the hole. Attach to front of pumpkin layer with dimensionals.
  4. Stamp the pumpkin trio on the other end of white card stock and colour with Stampin’ Blends, then use the coordinating dies to cut. Attach it to the lower corner on the front of the card with dimensionals.

  • Bumble Bee CS: 5-½” x 8-½” scored at 4-¼ and 4” x 5 ¼”
  • Harvest Meadow Designer Series Paper:1” x 5 ¼” and 3/8” x 4”
  • Soft Suede: 5/8” x 4”
  • Basic White: 3 ½” x 3 ½”
  • Crumb Cake: ½” x 3”

Instructions:

  1. Dry emboss the Bumblebee cardstock with the Ornate Floral 3D Folder using the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine. Adhere to the card base using dimensionals.
  2. Adhere Harvest Meadow and Soft Suede CS strips to the card base.
  3. Use Tailored Tag punch to banner the ends of the Crumb Cake CS and the remaining DSP. Adhere Designer Series Paper banner to the card base.
  4. Ink Coneflowers in Memento ink and stamp on Basic White CS. Use Daffodil, Old Olive and Soft Suede Blends to colour the image.  Randomly stamp verse with Crumb Cake ink over coloured image.  Die-Cut with Largest Laying Circle die and adhere to the card base with dimensionals
  5. Use Soft Suede ink to stamp saying on Crumb Cake banner. Adhere to the card base, embellishing with a Gilded Gem and a Linen Thread bow attached with a mini glue dot.

Happy Halloween To You

Measurements: 

  • Card Base:4” x 11”

Instructions:

  1. Cut a 4” x 11” Highland Heather card base.
  2. Emboss the card front using the Star Crossed embossing folder.
  3. Cut a Basic White scallop rectangle.
  4. Cut a Basic Black tree and adhere to the rectangle.
  5. Stamp a pumpkin on each side of the tree using Pumpkin Pie ink.
  6. Stamp the moon using Mango Melody ink.
  7. Stamp the bat and spider using Tuxedo Black ink.
  8. Add a watered-down puddle of Smoky Slate ink. Using your water painter, tap the water painter to add speckles to the rectangle.
  9. Adhere the rectangle to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  10. Cut a Basic Black spiderweb and adhere to the rectangle.
  11. Cut a Smoky Slate gate and adhere to the rectangle.
  12. Cut the stars from Crushed Curry cardstock and adhere to the rectangle.
  13. Cut a Pumpkin Pie tag and stamp the sentiment using Tuxedo Black ink.
  14. Adhere the sentiment to the spider web using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  15. Cut a 2” piece of Highland Heather ribbon.
  16. Wrap the Basic Black/White twine around the ribbon in a knot. Trim and fray the ends.
  17. Tuck and adhere the ribbon behind the lower-left corner of the rectangle using a glue dot.
