onlineex_shareable-1_nov2116_na

Today's card features the super cute Bella and Friends stamp set. After I created this card, I had been waiting to get a chance to get Bella ready for Christmas and when I saw this I knew I had to make the time! I had a few new supplies to play with so the timing was perfect!

Bella and Friends stamp set, Stampin Up, Handstamped Christmas card by StampingJo.com

How To Make It:

This card started with a base of Wild Wasabi cardstock.

Then, on Whisper White cardstock I stamped the cute dog from Bella and Friends with the Archival Basic Black ink. I allowed this to dry (or you can speed it up with the Heat Tool). Then, using the Aqua Painters, I used Crumb Cake ink to watercolor the dog's fur and then the Smoky Slate ink to add a little grounding under the dog.

The oval Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies were then used to die cut the stamped dog image.

Then I used the 1/16" Handheld Circle Punch to add a small hole to each side of the dog's neck. I used a needle threader to thread a piece of the Real Red twine from the Candy Cane Lane Baker's Twine through each hole so that it could be tied in front of the image. I used the needle threader again to add a Mini Jingle Bells to the twine and tied up. Such a cute collar!!

The Jolly Hat Builder Punch was used to punch some Real Red cardstock and Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer paper to create the Santa hat- the pieces were assembled using Mini Glue Dots and added to the top of Bella's head on the oval die cut using Mini Glue Dots as well.

The sentiment from the Hang Your Stockings stamp set was stamped with Real Red ink on Whisper White cardstock. Then, I used the Classic Label Punch to punch each line out seperately, being careful not to punch the other stamped lines.

Each punched sentiment strip was then adhered to one of the large silver Metallic Foil Doilies.

The Silver Satin Ribbon was trimmed and added to the card front using a strip of Tear & Tape Adhesive to hold it in place. Then the Metallic Foil Doily was adhered on top of that and then the stamped oval ensemble was adhered as shown.

Pretty Pines Hostess or Teacher Gift

Posted on November 24, 2016November 23, 2016 by Josee

Happy Thanksgiving to my U.S friends! Enjoy your day!

onlineex_shareable-4_nov2116_na

I think today's project would be the perfect hostess gift or even a teacher gift for Christmas giving. It uses the Pretty Pines Thinlits Dies as the focal point of the project and a candle of your choice. I had this one lying around, and the wax color determined the color scheme for this project.

Pretty Pines Thinlits, Stampin Up, hostess gift, teacher gift decorated candly by StampingJo.com

How To Make It:

The first thing I did was to measure the candle jar's height and circumference around the jar. Then I cut the Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper to fit. The glimmer paper is a 12"x12" sheet so in this case, it was a tad short to cover the whole width around so I left the space there and covered it with the rest of the design. Sometimes you just have to work with what you have. wink The Glimmer Paper was adhered to the jar using Tear & Tape Adhesive.

Then I cut the Watermelon Wonder cardstock using the largest Lots of Labels Framelits dies and then ran it through the Big Shot again in the Pine Bough Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.  I used a few pieces of Tear & Tape Adhesive to add the label to the glimmer paper.

Then I wrapped the Watermelon Wonder Striped Ribbon around the jar and the die cut label and tied it with an extra strand of ribbon in the knot.

Then, the pine boughs from the Pretty Pines Thinlits Dies were die cut from Always Artichoke cardstock and the pine cones were die cut from a Gold Foil Sheet and Soft Suede cardstock for the solid pieces.

The pine boughs were adhered to the label using Mini Glue Dots and then the pine cones were assembled with Mini Glue Dots then added to the pine boughs using Stampin' Dimensionals.

I left it for now, but you could add a stamped sentiment on a tag hanging from the ribbon or hanging from the top of the jar.

Stamps:

None- although you could add a sentiment of your choice on a tag

Paper:

Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper- 135315 , Gold Foil Sheets- 132622,Watermelon Wonder cardstock-138334, Always Artichoke- 105119, Soft Suede-115318

I hope you have a stampin' good day!

On the next layer of Whisper White cardstock, stamp the pine boughs from Christmas Pines with Always Artichoke ink and the pine cones with Crumb Cake and Early Espresso ink.

Then, stamp the sentiment from Christmas Pines with Versamark ink then sprinkle the Gold Stampin' Emboss powder over top, shaking off the excess back into the jar. Then heat set with the Heat Tool to get the shiny gold wording.

As the final touch, die cut the Pretty Pines Thinlits Dies from a Gold Foil Sheet and adhere to the card front as shown.

Christmas Pines Christmas Card

Posted on November 22, 2016November 22, 2016 by Josee

Hello!

In case you missed the announcement, the ONLINE EXTRAVAGANZA is on! Make sure you shop early for best selection because everything is while supplies last!

onlineex_shareable-2_nov2116_na

Now, today's card features the Christmas Pines stamp set for a different look than the last few cards I made using this set (check them out here and here), as I did not use the matching framelits on this card! I went for a different color scheme, and I really like how it turned out. Kind of reminds me of ice and snow. Hmmm…now that say that out loud, maybe that's not such a good thing?

Christmas Pines, Stampin Up, Christmas Card by StampingJo

How To Make It:

This card starts with a base of Whisper White Thick cardstock. The card base was stamped with the background stamp from Christmas Pines using Night of Navy ink. While I was stamping the front of the card, I stamped the inside too and added the sentiment.

christmas-pines-inside-of-card-by-stampingjo

Then I added a strip of the striped Floral Boutique Designer Washi Tape to the edge of the cardbase.

Then on a piece of Whisper White cardstock, I stamped the little border stamp from Christmas Pines and the 'Noel' sentiment both using the Night of Navy ink.

I added a Christmas Trinkets Embellishment to the center of a long string of Silver Metallic Thread and tied it, then I wrapped the thread around the stamped Whisper White cardstock piece securing it at the back with some Tear & Tape Adhesive.

I used the Tear & Tape Adhesive to adhere the piece to the Silver Glimmer Paper and then added that to the card front with some Tear & Tape Adhesive also.

To finish off the card, I added some Rhinestones Basics Jewels to the stamped border- this helped fill in any imperfect stamp alignment and added more sparkle to the card. 🙂

Stamps:

Christmas Pines-142049

Paper:

Whisper White cardstock-100730, Whisper White Thick Cardstock-140272, Silver Glimmer Paper-135314

Ink:

Night of Navy-126970

Other:

Floral Boutique Designer Washi Tape- 141664, Rhinestones Basics Jewels- 119246, Christmas Trinkets Embellishments-141997, Silver Metallic Thread-138402, Tear & Tape Adhesive- 138995

I hope you have a stampin' good day!
