Shake and Celebrate Die Cut Christmas Card

Posted on October 27, 2016October 24, 2016 by Josee

Good Morning!

I hope you are having a great week so far! If you are in the Ottawa area, join me for card class on November 11th! You can RSVP on my class page here.

I think you will love today's Christmas card! This die cut Christmas card actually uses very little stamping, however the sentiment from Shake & Celebrate was a great addition to all the lovely die cut layers adorning this card, including the Flourish Thinlits Dies which adds a gorgeous touch!

Shake and Celebrate stamp set, Delicate Ornaments, Stampin-Up

How To Make It:

This card starts with a base of Garden Green cardstock, with another layer of Garden Green cardstock on the card front.

Die cut the floral piece from the Flourish Thinlits Dies and the solid ornament from the Delicate Ornament Thinlits Dies out of Garden Green cardstock.

Using the small stem with the berries from the Flourish Thinlits Dies, die cut two from Real Red cardstock. Snip the berries off the stems and glue them to the larger flourish you cut out already. Then adhere the large flourish to the card front with the Fine Tip Glue Pen.

Die cut the Detailed Ornament from the Silver Foil and attach it to the solid Garden Green ornament you cut out earlier. Use the Fine Tip Glue Pen to glue it on.

Die cut the 'MERRY' sentiment using the Christmas Greetings Thinlits Dies and Basic Black cardstock.

Cut a banner on one end of your Vellum cardstock strip and stamp the “Christmas” sentiment from the Shake & Celebrate stamp set with Black Staz-On ink.

Adhere the MERRY die cut to the vellum strip with the Fine Tip Glue Pen. Then use the Handheld Stapler to staple the vellum banner to the ornament. Put Stampin Dimensionals on the back of the ornament and attach to the card front.

Tie a little bow with the Real Red Candy Cane Lane Bakers Twine and add it with a Mini Glue Dot over the staple to hide it.

Posted on October 21, 2016October 17, 2016 by Josee

Hello! Happy Friday!

I'm curious. Now that the cold weather is upon us, do you get more time in your stamp space? If you find stamping to be therapeutic, I do hope you find time to fit it in!

Today's card features the Jolly Friends stamp set with the sentiment from Flurry of Wishes.

Jolly Friends, Christmas card,

How To Make It:

Start the card with a base of Crumb Cake cardstock. Take the moose from the Jolly Friends stamp set and stamp a background on the Crumb Cake card base with Crumb Cake ink.

Take a 1"x 5.5" strip of Mint Macaron cardstock and stamp the sentiment from the Flurry of Wishes stamp set with Cherry Cobbler ink. Make sure one of the stamped words will not be covered.  Adhere the strip to the cardfront.

Die cut the squares from Cherry Cobbler cardstock and Presents & Pinecones Designer Series Paper using the Layering Squares Framelits. Adhere the matted squares to the card front.

Stamp the moose from Jolly Friends on Whisper White using Crumb Cake ink and then hand cut the moose using Paper Snips. Add the stamped image to the cardfront using Stampin' Dimensionals.

Punch the santa hat using the Jolly Hat Builder Punch from Cherry Cobbler cardstock. Stamp the hat trim and pom pom using Black ink on Whisper White cardstock and punch out using the Jolly Hat Builder Punch. Assemble the hat using Mini Glue Dots and adhere to the stamped moose's head.

Cookie Cutter Christmas, stamped christmas card

Very Merry Cookie Cutter Christmas Card

Posted on October 20, 2016October 17, 2016 by Josee

Good day!

I hope you are having a good week so far! Today's card uses the Cookie Cutter Christmas stamp set and Swirly Scribbles Thinlits to create this Christmas card.

Cookie Cutter Christmas, stamped christmas card

How To Make It:

Start with a cardbase of Thick Whisper White cardstock.

Add a layer of regular Whisper White cardstock embossed with the Softly Falling Textured Impressions Embossing Folder through the Big Shot. Adhere that to the card front.

Die cut the 'snow' with the wave die from the Swirly Scribbles Thinlits and adhere to the card front using the Fine Tip Glue Pen.

Stamp the eskimo from the Cookie Cutter Christmas stamp set using Basic Black Archival ink. Allow to dry, then watercolor the image using Cherry Cobbler and Soft Suede Stampin' Write markers. Allow the image to dry.

Tip: To watercolor using Stampin' Write Markers, rub the marker ink onto a clean acrylic stamp block then pick up the ink with the Aqua Painter, adding water as needed to soften or intensify the color.

Stamp the sentiment with Basic Black ink on the Whisper White cardstock strip- adding both word stamps on the same acrylic block, curving the bottom part of the sentiment and placing the smaller stamp in the middle.

Punch the ends of the Whisper White and Cherry Cobbler strips using the Triple Banner Punch on one end and the Scalloped Tag Topper on the other.

Tip: When punching, turn the punch upside down so you can see where you are cutting and don't push the paper until it stops. Line up the paper so that you get an even cut and make sure the stamped sentiment doesn't get punched off.

Adhere both punched layers together lining up the punched hole at the scallop top. Adhere to the cardfront and then add the knot of Burlap Ribbon with a Mini Glue Dot.

Finally, add Stampin' Dimensionals to the stamped eskimo and adhere to the card front.

Measurements:

Whisper White Thick Cardstock: 4.25×11; Whisper White: 5.25×2 for wave diecut, 4×5.25 for embossed background, 1.25×4 for tag; Cherry Cobbler: 1 9/16 x4.25
