Christmas Gleaming Gift Card Holder

HAPPY DECEMBER!
Giving a gift card is nice, but when you pair it with a hand-stamped gift card holder, it’s the perfect gift!

Measurements:

  • ThickVery Vanilla (base): 4 ¼” x 11”, score at 5 ½”
  • Thick Very Vanilla – scrap
  • Pretty Peacock – 3 ½” x 3 ½”
  • Copper Foil – 4” x 4”
  • Designer Paper – 3” x 12”, score at 5 ½” & 9 ½”

Instructions:

  1. Emboss the card base using the Tufted 3D Embossing Folder.
  2. Fold up the lower half of the designer paper so the opposite pattern is showing to create a pocket. Use the 1” Circle Punch to make a notch in the center of the designer paper. Adhere the pocket closed using Tear & Tape.
  3. Adhere the designer paper to the front and inside the base of the cardstock as shown.
  4. Punch a 2 ¼” circle using Pretty Peacock cardstock. Emboss using the Tufted 3D Embossing Folder.
  5. Die-cut a slightly larger circle than the Pretty Peacock cardstock using the Copper Foil Sheet and the Layering Circles Dies. Adhere it to the Pretty Peacock cardstock. Adhere these layers to the left side of the designer paper using Dimensionals.
  6. Lightly rub the Very Vanilla scrap cardstock with the Embossing Buddy. Stamp the ornament image using Versamark in on Thick Very Vanilla scrap cardstock. Immediately cover with copper embossing powder and heat set. Punch the ornament out using the coordinating punch.
  7. Using the Aqua Painter and Pretty Peacock ink, colour in the ornament. Colour in the topper of the ornament using Night of Navy ink. Ink will resist where there is heat embossing so after the cardstock has dried, blog the image using a clean, dry cloth to remove the water/ink from the copper embossed lines. Adhere the ornament to the center of the circle layers using a combination of Dimensionals and Mini Dimensionals.
  8. Stamp the greeting using Night of Navy ink on Thick Very Vanilla scrap cardstock. Cut around the perimeter of the greeting using your scissors. Adhere the greeting, overlapping the ornament as shown, using Mini Dimensionals.
  9. Insert the gift card inside the pocket on the inside of the card.

Christmas Rose

Instructions:

  1. Stamp sentiment with Golden Glitz Delicata Metallic Ink on the top left of the card base.
  2. Die-cut rose from Designer Series Paper; adhere to the card base with dimensionals.
  3. Add Gold Glitter Enamel Dots to the card.
  4. Create the bow and adhere to the card with glue dots.
    1. Loop the ribbon back and forth so there are 3 loops on each side and “tails” on each side; trim excess “tail”.
    2. With the remaining ribbon, tie a knot in the middle of the loops. Trim down the tails from the knot.

Measurements:

  • Mossy Meadow: 8-1/2” x 5-1/2”, folded in half for card base; 3” x 4-1/2”
  • Whisper White: 5-1/4” x 4”; 4” x 2-3/4”
  • DSP: 3-1/2” x 1-7/8” (2); 3-3/4” x 1-1/2” (you choice of patterns)

Instructions:           

  1. Stamp the swinging girl and the quote on Whisper White cardstock and die cut with Stitched Rectangles die (2-1/2” x 2-1/4”).
  2. Die-cut Mossy Meadow cardstock with Stitched Rectangle die one size larger (3-7/8” x 2-5/8”).  Adhere pieces together.
  3. Adhere large Whisper White cardstock on the folded card base. Adhere Designer Series Paper to the card.
  4. Attach stamped piece with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  5. Make a bow with Crinkle Seam Binding and attach it with a Mini Glue Dot.

Ring in the Season

Happy Monday! I hope you had a great weekend. I can’t believe that a month from today is CHRISTMAS!! This card was super fun to put together!! I love the Black Foil and the Vellum Cardstock together on the bells.

Measurements:  

  • Real Red: 5 ½”  x 8 ½” scored at 4 ¼” 
  • Let It Snow Designer Paper: 3 ½” x 4 ¾”  
  • Basic Black: 3 ?” x  4 ?”  
  • Whisper White:  ?” x 2 ¾”  
  • Ribbon: 6” and 7” 

Instructions:

  1. Fold the Real Red cardstock in half.  
  2. Adhere the designer paper to the Basic Black cardstock using Snail Adhesive. 
  3. Take the 6” ribbon and loop the ends behind black cardstock and adhere the ends to the back. 
  4. Use the Detailed Bells Dies to cut out the Black Foil bells and the Vellum bells.
  5. Take a piece of Baker’s Twine and tie all the bells together. 
  6. Use a glue dot to glue the bells together and to glue underneath where the frosted droplet will go. 
  7. Adhere the back of the bells with more glue dots and add to the card. 
  8. Make a bow with the glittered ribbon and add on top of the bells using a glue dot. 
  9. Stamp greeting on the Whisper White cardstock, then adhere to card tucking in the left-hand side of the white cardstock under the bells. 
  10. Add the frosted droplets to the bells.

Thinking of you this Season

Measurements:

  • Mossy Meadow Card Stock – 5 ½” x 8 ½” scored at 4 ¼” on the 8 ½” edge
  • Basic Black Card Stock – 4” x 5 ¼”
  • Magnolia Lane DSP – 3 ¾” x 5”
  • Very Vanilla Card Stock – scrap
  • Black Glittered Ribbon – 14”
  • Linen Thread – 4”

Instructions:

  1. Fold card base in half and set aside.
  2. Use Real Red Combo Stampin’ Blends to colour all the white blossoms on the piece of Magnolia Lane Designer Series Paper then adhere on top of the Basic Black card stock.
  3. Wrap the Black Glittered Ribbon around both pieces and tie a knot towards the right side of the card panel.
  4. Adhere the completed panel from Step 3 to the card front.
  5. Using Real Red ink, stamp the sentiment onto a scrap of Very Vanilla card stock.
  6. Cut out the sentiment for the “ornament” using the largest circle from the Stitched Shapes Dies.
  7. Using Memento Black ink, stamp leaves as shown to the top and bottom of the ornament. Colour leaves with Mossy Meadow Stampin’ Blends.
  8. Punch one tulip from the Vase Builder Punch from a scrap of Silver Glimmer Paper. Turn upside down to create an ornament hanger and adhere to top of the ornament.
  9. Fold a piece of Linen Thread in half. Adhere one end behind the ornament hanger.
  10. Center ornament on the card front and bring linen thread to the top and adhere behind the top edge of the Basic Black Panel.
  11. Enjoy!
