TUTORIAL THURSDAY: Summer Days Host Stamp Set
Happy Thursday! On Thursdays, I’m starting to share a tutorial featuring 1 stamp set with 2-3 different samples! You can choose to see them on this post and/or print out the tutorials to keep for reference! 🙂

Idea #1
Measurements:
- Pool Party card base: 5-1/2” x8-1/2”, scored at 4-1/4” AND ½” x 3”
- Soft Suede: 3-1/4” x 4-1/2”
- Whisper White: 3” x 4”
- Linen Thread: 12”, 2”

- Cardstock and paper: Pool Party (122924), Soft Suede (115318), Whisper White (100730)
- Ink: Pool Party (147107), Tuxedo Black Memento (132708)
- Miscellaneous: Stitched So Sweetly Dies (151690), Little Details Embossing Folders (153127), Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder (152718), Lovely Labels Pick a Punch (152883), Stampin’ Blends in these colours: Old Olive (154892), Crumb Cake (154882), Pool Party (154894), Soft Sea Foam (154902), Smoky Slate (154904), Calypso Coral (154881), Purple Posy (154896), Night of Navy (154891), Daffodil Delight (154883), Petal Pink (154893), Linen Thread (104199), Flowers for Every Season Gems (153645), Paper Trimmer (152392), Stampin’ Seal (152813), Stampin’ Dimensionals (104430), Multipurpose Liquid Glue (110755), Bone Folder (102300), Paper Snips (103579), embossing machine
Instructions:
- Stamp tree with girl image with Tuxedo Black Memento ink on Whisper White cardstock. Add cat (or dog or bunny). Colour in the image with these suggested Stampin Blends: tree leaves in Old Olive, tree trunk in Crumb Cake, cat and shoes in Smoky Slate, butterflies in Purple Posy, girl’s hair and book in Crumb Cake, shirt in Daffodil Delight, pants in Night of Navy, the sweater in Calypso Coral, face and hands in Petal Pink, grass in Soft Sea Foam, and sky in Pool Party.
- Emboss Whisper White piece with the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder then the Pool Party card base with one of the Little Details Embossing Folders.
- Die-cut Whisper White with the 2-1/2” x 3-5/8” rectangle and the Soft Suede with 3” x 4” rectangle from Stitched So Sweetly Dies.
- Stamp sentiment on Pool Party strip and trim the left edge with the Lovely Labels Pick a Punch. With Paper Trimmer, trim sentiment to be 2-1/2” long.
- Affix Whisper White to Soft Suede then that piece to the card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Do the same with the sentiment piece, aligning flush right.
- Wrap 12” Linen Thread around a ruler or similar sized object 3-4 times. Slip off the ruler and tie a knot with 2” Linen Thread around the center. Trim ends of knot piece and ends of ribbon as desired with Paper Snips. With a dot of Multipurpose Liquid Glue, adhere thread to the tree trunk.
- With Multipurpose Liquid Glue, adhere five of the Just Jade gems from Flowers for Every Season Gems to the card as shown. Set aside to dry.

- Thick Whisper White Card Base: 8 ½” x 5 ½”, scored in half at 4 ¼”
- Granny Apple Green: 3 ¾” x 5”
- Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper: 3 ½” X 4 ¾”

- Cardstock: Whisper White Thick Cardstock (#140272), Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper (#149612), Granny Apple Green (#146990)
- Ink: Memento (#132708), Granny Apple Green (#147095), Pool Party (#147107), Crumb Cake (#147116)
- Tools & Accessories: Water Painters (#151298), Pearl Basic Jewels (#144219), Ornate Frames Dies (#150664), Stampin’ Seal (#152813), Stampin’ Dimensionals (#104430)
Instructions:
- Stamp images using Memento Ink.
- Use ink pads and Water Painters to colour card front. TIP: Press the ink pad on to a clear stamping block, then grab some colour from the block with a Water Painter. Don’t overdo water the paper! Going over it too much could damage the paper fibers.
- Stamp sentiment using Memento Ink & cut out with Dies.
- When watercolouring is dry, adhere the Granny Apple Green piece at an angle, then adhere the watercolour paper layer over that at an angle.
- Adhere greeting using dimensionals and decorate with pearls.
