Let’s Celebrate You

If you do a search on my blog, you see that there are a lot of cards using the Celebrate Sunflowers stamp set and dies. it is definitely one of the most popular stamp sets in our catalogue right now!

Dimensions:

  • Just Jade: 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″
  • Whisper White: 4″ x 5 1/2″
  • Die: 2 3/4″ x  4″

 

Directions

  1. Use the flower outline die to cut out the Whisper White flower using a die-cut machine. Cut out the Just Jade center using the die.
  2. Use the scallop rectangle die to cut out the center of the white layer.
  3. Adhere the designer paper to the Just Jade card.
  4. Adhere the outline flower to the designer paper using Stampin’ Seal in the middle of the flower.
  5. Use dimensionals to add the center of the flower.
  6. Stamp the greeting on the cardstock using the Just Jade ink. Use Paper Snips to cut out.
  7. Add the Whisper White layer to the card using dimensionals all around.
  8. Add a little bit of Stampin’ Seal on right-hand side of the greeting and dimensionals to the rest.

Silver Poinsettia

This card is stunning in real life!!! What could be better than a silver embossed Poinsettia?? The flower has 4 different layers and each is added to the card with dimensionals. It’s really beautiful!

Dimensions

  • Night of Navy: 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″
  • Snowflake Splendor Designer Paper: 4″ x 5 1/4″
  • Whisper White: 3/4″ x 3 3/8″
  • Ribbon: approx. 8″

Directions

  1. Adhere designer paper to the card.
  2. Cut out the silver poinsettia using the 4 sizes of layers.
  3. Adhere each layer together using dimensionals.
  4. Colour the ribbon using the Dark Night of Navy Stampin’ Blends and cut ends. Fold in half and adhere to the back of the poinsettia. Add to the card using Tear & Tape Adhesive.
  5. Stamp sprig outlines on to Whisper White cardstock using the Night of Navy ink. Stamp insides using the same ink pad, but, stamp on scrap paper 2 times before stamping inside outline. Add adhesive and tuck in behind flower. I used Mini dimensionals behind one of them.
  6. Cut out 2 Night of Navy leaves using the dies. Take the Whisper White Craft ink and add ink around the outside of the leaf. Add adhesive and tuck in behind flower.
  7. Colour Beaded Pearls with Dark Night of Navy Blend Marker, then add to the flower using Glue Dots.
  8. Stamp greeting on cardstock, then use Banners Pick a Punch to cut the end. Add to the card using Dimensionals.
  9. Add Clear Epoxy Droplets to the card.

Thinking of You Winter Shaker Card

Yesterday,  you saw the summer shaker card I made using the Winter Woods stamp set, now it’s time for the winter one! I love how versatile this stamp set is!

Dimensions

  • Balmy Blue: 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″
  • Designer Paper: 4″ x 5 1/4″
  • Die: 2 5/8″ x 4″

Directions

  1. Stamp the tree stamp on Whisper White layer using Night of Navy ink.
  2. Use the 4″ long Stitched Rectangle die-cut to cut out front of the Designer Paper.
  3. Adhere the Window Sheet to the back of the rectangle using Seal Adhesive.
  4. Place the tree stamped cardstock to the card so that the trees are centered and adhere. (If you prefer, you can wait to stamp the trees until you can do it through the cut-out shape.)
  5. Colour the ribbon using the Dark Night of Navy Stampin’ Blends Marker. Adhere ends to the back of the front layer. Take another piece of ribbon and tie a knot around the first piece of ribbon.
  6. Add sequins on top of where the tree is stamped.
  7. Add Foam strips to the inside of the back of the Window Sheet close to where the rectangle shape ends making sure that all spots are covered so that the sequins don’t escape. Carefully place the layer on top of the card and press down firmly.
  8. Stamp the greeting on Whisper White cardstock using the Night of Navy ink and cut it out using Paper Snips. Adhere it to the card using Dimensionals.

Thinking of You Summer Shaker Card

I’ve been wanting to make a Shaker Card for a while and I thought the Winter Woods stamp set would be perfect! I made a summer version and a winter version. I’ll show you the summer version today and the winter one tomorrow. 🙂

Dimensions 

  • Pool Party: 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″
  • Whisper White: 4″ x 5 1/4″  AND  3 3/4″ x 5″ (for trees)
  • Window Sheet: 3 3/4″ x 5″
  • Die:  3″ x 4″

Directions

  1. Stamp the tree stamp on Whisper White layer using Memento ink.
  2. Use the scalloped rectangle die-cut to cut out the 3″ x 4″ rectangle.
  3. Adhere the Window Sheet to the back of the scallop using Seal Adhesive.
  4.  Place the tree stamped cardstock to the card so that the trees are centered and adhere. (If you prefer, you can wait to stamp the trees until you can do it through the cut-out shape.)
  5. Adhere ends of the ribbon to the back of the front layer. Take another piece of ribbon and tie a knot around the first piece of ribbon.
  6. Add sequins on top of where the trees are stamped.

Thanks a Bunch

The dies from the Celebrate Sunflowers bundle are fun to create with! 🙂 This card features the flower entirely made with the dies and stamping in the middle.

Dimensions:

  • Bumblebee: 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″ AND 5/8″ x 3 1/8″
  • Night of Navy: 4 1/4″ x 4 3/4″
  • Whisper White: 4″ x 4 1/4″

Directions

  1. Stamp the sunflowers on the background with the Night of Navy ink. For each flower, I stamped on scrap paper first so that it was a lighter colour on the Whisper White cardstock. Adhere layer to the Night of Navy cardstock.
  2. Tape the ends of the ribbon to the back of the layer, then tie a knot with a smaller ribbon. Adhere layer to the card.
  3. Use the dies to cut out the 2 flowers using a die-cut machine.
  4. Stamp the middle of the flower on Bumblebee cardstock using the Night of Navy ink, then cut out using the matching die. Adhere outline flower to the patterned flower using Stampin’ Seal Adhesive in the middle of the blue flower. Add the center of the flower using Dimensionals. Add the completed flower to the card using Stampin’ Seal Adhesive.
  5. Stamp the greeting on to the 5/8″ x 3 1/8″, then punch out the ends.
