TUTORIAL THURSDAY: Dandelion Wishes Stamp Set

Happy Thursday! On Thursdays, I’m starting to share a tutorial featuring 1 stamp set with 2-3 different samples! You can choose to see them on this post and/or print out the tutorials to keep for reference! 🙂

  • Whisper White Thick Card Base:  4-1/4”x 5-1/2”
  • Gorgeous Grape:  4” x 5-1/4”
  • Daffodil Delight Brights Designer Series Paper: 3 ¾” x  5”
  • Rainbow Glimmer Paper: ½” x 5 ½”

Instructions:

  1. Stamp the Dandelions and greeting on the Daffodil Delight Brights paper in Gorgeous Grape ink.
  2. Accent the centers of the Daffodils with the Champagne Rhinestones.
  3. Add shimmer with Wink to Stella to the stamped Dandelions.
  4. Adhere the papers to the card front with Stampin’ Seal adhesive.
  5. Adhere the Rainbow Glimmer over the full card front.

Idea #2

Measurements: 

  • Card Base: 5-1/2”  x  8-1/2”  scored at 4-1/4”
  • Whisper White mat: 4”  x  5 ¼”
  • Gorgeous Grape mat: 4 5/8”  x  3 ½”
  • Watercolor Paper:  4 ½ ”  x  3 3/8”

  • Cardstock: Pacific Point, Gorgeous Grape, Whisper White, Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper (149612)
  • Ink: Pacific Point (147098), Gorgeous Grape (147099)
  • Tools & Accessories: Stamparatus (146276), Paper Trimmer (152392), Water Painters (151290), Old World Paper 3D Embossing Folder (153200), Sponge Brayers (141714), Bone Folder (102300), Stampin’ Dimensionals (104430), Frosted and Clear Epoxy Droplets (147801)

Instructions:

  1. Fold card base on the score line and burnish crease using the bone folder.
  2. Using Pacific Point and Gorgeous Grape ink pads, press top and bottom lids together to create a pool of colour inside the top lid of each pad.
  3. Fill water painter with water and brush clear water across the watercolour paper before adding any colour.
  4. Using the Water Painter, pick up some of the Pacific Point ink from the inside of the lid to create a pool of colour. Add this first colour to one area of your watercolour paper.
  5. Add Gorgeous Grape using the same process.
  6. Allow to air dry thoroughly before stamping the image.
  7. Using sponge brayer, add ink to the inside of the Old World Paper 3D Embossing Folder, place Whisper White mat inside and run it through your embossing machine.
  8. Adhere this dry embossed cardstock mat to the front of the card base using a strong adhesive and set aside.
  9. Set up the Dandelion stamp on the Stamparatus for correct placement on the dry watercolour paper.
  10. When the watercolour wash is fully dry, ink up the Dandelion stamp with Pacific Point and stamp image on watercolour paper using Stamparatus.
  11. Use the same process with the Stamparatus for the sentiment.
  12. Adhere completed watercolour image to the Gorgeous Grape mat using a strong adhesive.
  13. Place Stampin’ Dimensionals on the back of the Pacific Point mat and adhere to dry embossed Whisper White mat.
  14. Add Frosted Epoxy Droplets to the stamped image.

Idea #3

Measurements: 

  • Thick Whisper White Card Base: 8 ½” x 5 ½”
  • Balmy Blue: 5 ¼” x 4”
  • Highland Heather: 5 ¼” x 2”
  • Designer Paper: 2 ¾” x 4 ½”

Instructions:

  1. Emboss the Balmy Blue cardstock using the Subtle 3D Embossing Folder then adhere it to the Whisper White card base.
  2. Adhere the Highland Heather cardstock on to the card.
  3. Stamp the dandelion image on to the Designer Paper using Versamark and heat emboss with White Embossing Powder. Adhere the designer paper to the Whisper White mat then to the card.
  4. Stamp sentiment using Highland Heather ink on to the Whisper White layer.
  5. Add it to the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I Believe

What I like about this card is that you can easily recreate this design with any greeting and designer paper scraps you have on hand.

Dimensions

  • Real Red: 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″
  • Pear Pizzazz: 4″ x 5 1/4″
  • Whisper White: 1″ x 2 1/4″

Directions

  1. Stamp the poinsettias randomly on the Pear Pizzazz cardstock using the matching ink pad.
  2. Cut strips of designer paper 1/2″, 3/4″ and nearly 1″. Cut ends and adhere to the card.
  3. Add a piece of ribbon to the card with the ends cut.
  4. Stamp greeting in Real Red ink on the Whisper White cardstock. Attach to the card using dimensionals.

Christmas Means More

The greetings in the Christmas Means More stamp set are big and bold and are great for easy Christmas cards! This card took a bit more time but I thought it was worth it! 🙂

Dimensions

  • Mossy Meadow: 1″ x 5 1/4″
  • Designer Paper: 1″ x 5 1/4″ and 4″ x 5 1/4″

Directions

  1. Adhere the 2 designer papers to the card.
  2. Stamp greeting in Real Red ink on a piece of Whisper White scrap cardstock. Cover the leaves from the poinsetta with washi tape or tape before inking the stamp, then take the tape off before stamping on the cardstock.
  3. Clean stamp well then stamp the leaves with Mossy Meadow ink. You can cover any parts that you do not want to accidentally ink up.
  4. Stamp the whole greeting again with Mossy Meadow ink on scrap Whisper White. Use Paper Snips to cut out the small words. Adhere words to the greetings.
  5. TIP: you could do this technique with Stampin’ Up! markers (not blends), but I found that the colour did not come out as vibrant, so the extra work was worth it! 🙂
  6. Cut out the greeting using the 2 15/16″ circle from the Stitched Shapes dies.
  7. Make 3 loops of ribbon and adhere to the back of the cut-out circle using Tear & Tape Adhesive.
  8. Add dimensional to the back of the greeting and add to the card.

Punched Ornaments

For this card, I used the designer paper and the punch as the highlight! There are so many lovely cardstock choices in the pack so you could create this easily with different patterns.

Dimensions

  • Pretty Peacock: 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″
  • Night of Navy: 4″ x 5 1/4″
  • Very Vanilla: 3 3/4″ x 5″

 

Directions

  1. Punch out 5 ornaments using the designer paper and adhere to the Very Vanilla layer. I use Stampin’ Seal on 4 ornaments and dimensionals on the 5th.
  2. Cut off the part of the ornaments that are hanging off the edges of the Vanilla cardstock.
  3. Adhere all the layers to the card base.
  4. Stamp the greeting on Very Vanilla cardstock using Night of Navy ink, then cut out using Snips and add to the card using Dimensionals.
  5. Colour ribbon using the Night of Navy Stampin’ Blends, let dry. Once it is dry, wrap around the card and tie in a bow.

Instructions:

  1. Cut and fold Granny Apple Green card base
  2. Stamp and heat emboss multiple feathers on Basic Black layer using Versamark Ink and Stampin Emboss white powder
  3. Die-cut scalloped circle for sentiment using piece of Basic Back scrap
  4. Heat emboss sentiment
  5. Using the various colours Stampin Blends colour feathers
  6. Adhere Basic Black layer to Whisper White layer
  7. Wrap Forever Greenery trim around these layers multiple times
  8. Adhere this layer to Granny Apple Green card base with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.   Attach sentiment circle using Stampin Dimensionals

Idea #2

Measurements: 

  • Card Base (Petal Pink): 7-3/4”  x  4-1/4”  scored at 5-1/2”
  • Petal Pink mats: 3-3/4”  x  3”;    2-1/4”  x  2-1/4”
  • Whisper White mats: 4”  x  5-1/4”;   3-1/2”  x  2-3/4”;  scrap for sentiment and flowers
  • In Good Taste Designer Paper: 2”  x  4”;   2”  x  2”

  • Stamp Set and Die Bundle: Tasteful Touches (154098)
  • Cardstock: Petal Pink (146985); Whisper White (100730)
  • Ink: Memento (132708)

Instructions:

  1. Fold card base on the score line and burnish with a bone folder to get a good crease
  2. Adhere the taller strip of designer paper to the outside fold of card base
  3. Emboss the smaller piece of Whisper White using embossing machine and the Tasteful Textile embossing folder and adhere to Petal Pink mat (3-3/4” x  3”)
  4. Stamp sentiment on Whisper White scrap using Memento ink and die cut
  5. Stamp 2 flowers in Memento Ink on Whisper White and colour using Stampin’ Blends listed above
  6. Cut flowers using paper snips and add sparkle using Wink of Stella
  7. Arrange flowers and sentiment on embossed and matted Whisper White panel using Stampin’ Dimensionals
  8. Adhere 3 rhinestones to sentiment
  9. Adhere this panel only to the left card front flap using liquid glue making sure you are able to open the card
  10. On the Whisper White panel for the inside of the card (4” x 5-1/4”), stamp flower using Memento on the lower-left corner and colour using Stampin’ Blends
  11. On the 2-1/4” Petal Pink square and 2” designer paper square — cut diagonally from corner to corner to create 2 triangles using Stampin’ Trimmer
  12. Glue designer paper triangle to Petal Pink triangle (save the second completed triangle for another project)
  13. On the backside of one of the triangles, attach a dimensional in each of the 3 corners (see photo) and adhere to the upper-right edge of your Whisper White mat (4” x 5-1/4”) (see photo)
  14. You can now adhere your completed Whisper White mat to the inside of the card
  15. Close card tucking the upper right corner of your card front panel under the triangle in the upper right corner (see top photo)

Idea #3

Measurements: 

  • Card Base: Magenta Madness Cardstock 11” x 4-1/4”. Score and fold at 5-1/2”.
  • Cardstock #2: Gray Granite Cardstock 5-1/4” x 4”.
  • Cardstock #3: Whisper White Cardstock 4-1/2” x 3-1/4”

Instructions:

  1. Adhere Gray Granite Cardstock to Magenta Madness Cardstock.
  2. Stamp the background image on the Whisper White Cardstock layer repeatedly using Gray Granite Ink.
  3. Emboss cardstock using the Greenery Embossing Folder. Add to card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  4. Stamp the sentiment on Magenta Madness Cardstock using VersaMark Ink. Sprinkle with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder and melt with the Heat Tool.
  5. Use the die from the Tasteful Labels Dies to cut the shape. Adhere to the left of the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  6. Stamp two of the feather image on Whisper White Cardstock using VersaMark Ink. Sprinkle with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder and melt with the Heat Tool.
  7. Use a Sponge Dauber to add Gray Granite Ink the top half of each feather. Use a Sponge Dauber to add Tuxedo Black Memento Ink to the bottom half of each feather. Cut each feather with Paper snips and glue to the left of the sentiment using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  8. Tie a bow with the ribbon and add to the bottom of the feathers with Mini Glue Dots.
  9. Add a few Champagne Rhinestone Jewels to the background.
