Brusho Medallion

Here’s another fun background that you can create with Brusho!

Measurements:

  • Real Red Card Stock: 8 1/2” x 5 1/2”
  • Basic Black Card Stock: 5 1/4” x 4”
  • Watercolor Paper:    5-1/8” x 3-7/8”
  • Vellum:   4 1/2” x 3/4”

Instructions:

  1. Position the medallion mask onto the watercolor paper. Tape down with washi tape to hold it in place if desired.
  2. Spread shimmery white embossing past over mask using one of the palette knives.
  3. Sprinkle with brilliant red brusho.
  4. Spritz with water to activate the brusho.
  5. Carefully remove the mask and set aside the image to dry. Note: be sure to clean both the mask and the palette knife quickly to avoid the paste drying to the tools.
  6. Stamp desired greeting onto vellum (a little closer to the right) and heat set to dry.
  7. Once the stenciled image is dry, wrap the vellum around the image and adhere at the back.
  8. Add this to the black cardstock and that to the card front using dimensionals.

Brusho Crystal Background

This fun background is made using the new Brusho Crystal colours!

Measurements:

  • Whisper White: 8 ½” x 5 ½ “
  • Watercolor Paper: 3 1/8” x 2”
  • Tangerine Tango: 3 3/8” x 2 1/8”
  • Basic Black: 3 ½ x 2 3/8”
  • Ribbon: 14”

Instructions:

  1. Use your Aqua Painter to wet your watercolor paper.
  2. Sprinkle some of the Yellow, some of the Gamboge, and the Brilliant Red Brusho on the paper.
  3. Use your Aqua Painter to spread the Brusho around. Let the piece dry.
  4. Stamp the trees with Basic Black ink on the Watercolor piece. Let them dry.
  5. Use your chalk marker to outline one side of the trees. Let them dry.
  6. Stamp the saying on the bottom of the folded card base.
  7. Attach the stamped piece to the Tangerine Tango cardstock and the Basic Black cardstock.
  8. Tie the ribbon around the card base and tie into a knot on the right side of the card.
  9. Attach the stamped piece to the front of the card with dimensionals.

Here for You Blossoming Basket Card

I often forget how relaxing and therapeutic colouring can be until I pull out my colours and start putting them to paper. I used my Stampin’ Blends and had a lot of fun making this card!

Measurements:

  • Pink Pirouette: 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ (scored at 4 1/4″) and 3 ½’ x 3 ¾”
  • Crumb Cake: 4” x 5 ¼”
  • Watercolor Paper: 3 ¼” x 3 ½”
  • Vellum Cardstock: ¾” x 2”

Instructions:

  1. Fold Pink Pirouette in half to form card front.
  2. Using Basket Weave Embossing Folder, emboss Crumb Cake cardstock. Take Crumb Cake ink pad and rub on top of embossed cardstock.
  3. Cut a piece of ribbon to approx. 6 ½”, tie a knot on the left hand side and adhere ends to back or Crumb Cake cardstock.
  4. Take the basket stamp and ink it with Versamark, then Memento ink and stamp it on watercolor paper.
  5. Sprinkle with Clear Embossing Powder and heat set.
  6. Use Stampin’ Blends in Pink Pirouette, Old Olive and Crumb Cake to colour the basket. Colour flowers with Wink of Stella.
  7. Adhere stamped layer to Pink Pirouette cardstock using SNAIL Adhesive, then adhere to card with Dimensionals.
  8.  Stamp greeting with Memento ink on vellum cardstock, then heat emboss using clear embossing powder.
  9. Use a tiny bit of Fine-Tip Glue Pen on back of vellum just under stamping, and then add to front of card.

Magical Day Unicorn Card

I think Unicorns are my spirit animals and this card is truly magical! 🙂

Measurements:

  • Bermuda Bay (base): 5 ½” x 8 ½”, folded in half
  • Designer Paper (triangle pattern): 4” x 5 ¼”
  • Whisper White: 4 1/8” x 5 3/8”, 3” x 3” plus scraps
  • Glimmer Paper (turquoise): 2 ¾” x 2 ¾”

Instructions:

  1. Adhere the designer paper to the 4 1/8” x 5 3/8” Whisper White cardstock. Adhere these layers to the card base.
  2. Die cut the 2nd largest square from the Stitched Shapes Framelits using the 3” x 3” piece of Whisper White cardstock. Adhere the square to the Glimmer Paper using Dimensionals.
  3. Stamp the unicorn image using Memento ink on Whisper White scrap cardstock. Color in the unicorn’s body using the Pumpkin Pie Stampin’ Blends Combo. Color in the unicorn’s mane and tail using the Bermuda Bay and Lemon Lime Twist markers as shown. Die cut the image using the coordinating framelit. Adhere the unicorn to upper portion of the stitched square using Dimensionals.
  4. Stamp the banner image using Bermuda Bay ink on Whisper White scrap cardstock. Curve the photopolymer greeting “Oh Happy Day” on your clear block. Stamp the greeting inside the banner using Pumpkin Pie ink. Punch the banner image using the Duet Banner Punch. Adhere the punched banner to the lower portion of the stitched square using Dimensionals.

Designer Paper + Greeting = a Card in minutes!

A little Designer Paper & a greeting stamp and you have a beautiful card in minutes!

Measurements:

  • Whisper White Cardstock: 4-1/2″ x 11”; scrap for punching
  • Suite Soiree Specialty Designer Series Paper: 4” x 4” (top piece); 1-1/4” x 4” (bottom piece)
  • Silver Foil Sheet: scrap for punching 2” circle

Instructions:

  1. Score Whisper White Cardstock at 5-1/2”. Fold for card base.
  2. Adhere 1-1/4” strip of Sweet Soiree paper to bottom of card front, leaving 1/8” border around sides and bottom).
  3. Wrap Berry Burst Metallic Edge Ribbon around bottom of 4” square of Sweet Soiree Paper and adhere ends to back.
  4. Adhere 4” square to top of card, leaving 1/8” border around sides and top.
  5. Rub an Embossing Buddy over surface of white scrap. Stamp sentiment with Versamark Ink.
  6. Add Silver Embossing Powder over stamped sentiment, shaking off excess and then heat emboss with Heat Tool. Allow to cool.
  7. Punch out sentiment with 2” Circle Punch.
  8. Punch Silver Foil Sheet with Starburst Punch.
  9. Adhere sentiment to Silver Foil Starburst.
  10. Adhere layered sentiment to card front with Dimensionals.
