Stampin’ Up! just hosted OnStage, our virtual conference and demonstrated this simple and fun technique. I made a version of one of their samples they demoed. They used a brand new stamp set which I will demonstrate in the near future, but, I thought I’d share the idea with the current Beautiful Moments stamp set.

I love how it turned out and it really is quite simple. Check out the directions below!

Dimensions

  • Magenta Madness: 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″ AND  2 1/2″ x 3 3 /4″
  • Basic White: 4″ x 5 1/4″
  • Designer Paper: 2″ x 4″
  • Granny Apple Green: 3/8″ x 4″

Directions

  1. Cut out the scallop rectangle using the die from the Stitched So Sweetly die.
  2. Stamp the image on the 2 1/2″ x 3 3 /4″ Magenta Madness cardstock using Versamark ink. Sprinkle White Embossing Powder on the image and tap off excess. Heat set until the entire image is shiny.
  3. Colour the image using the white Watercolor Pencil.
  4. Add the image layer to the scallop rectangle using Dimensionals.
  5. Stamp the greeting on a piece of Basic White cardstock, then cut out using the Double Oval Punch.
  6. Cut out a Granny Apple Green scallop oval using the punch. Add dots on each scallop using the Dark Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blend. Adhere the greeting to the scallop oval.
  7. Adhere all layers to the card.

Let’s Celebrate Deer

Dimensions: 

  • Crumb Cake 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″, scored & folded at 4-1/4
  • Crumb Cake 4-1/8″ x 5-3/8″
  • Balmy Blue 4″ x 5-1/4″
  • Basic White scraps for deer and greeting

Instructions:

  1. Cut a mask for the background hills from the copy paper. Use a Blending Brush to add Mossy Meadow ink forming the hills on the Balmy Blue cardstock.
  2. Stamp the trees in Mossy Meadow ink, then emboss with the Tasteful Textile folder and adhere to card base.
  3. Using the third largest diorama die, cut the Crumb Cake cardstock, then emboss with the Bark folder. Cut 4 pieces of Linen Thread and tie around the right side, fraying ends. Adhere to card with dimensionals.
  4. Stamp, color and punch out deer. Adhere to card with double layer of dimensionals.
  5. Stamp greeting, die cut with Messages die, and adhere to card with dimensionals (double on left, single on right).
  6. Add Brushed Metallic Dots as desired.

Snow Cool

Dimensions: 

  • Basic White: 8-1/2” x 5-1/2”, scored at 4-1/4”.
  • Kraft: 5-1/2 x 4-1/4
  • Watercolor Paper: 4”x 4”
  • Small pieces Thick Basic White for sentiment

Instructions:

  1. Cut and score card base. Fold in half.
  2. Cut Kraft paper 5-1/2 x 4-1/4. Emboss the Kraft paper using the Timber Emboss folder. Mount to card front using Stampin’ Seal.
  3. Cut the Watercolor Paper to 4” x 4”. Stamp large snowman image in center using Tuxedo Black ink.
  4. Watercolour the background in Pool Party using a Water Painter and Classic Ink. Watercolour the snowmen bodies using watered down Basic Gray ink.
  5. Colour Snowmen hats and scarves using Cherry Cobbler, Old Olive and Bermuda Bay and Polished Pink Stampin’ Blends.
  6. Die cut large row of holes using hole circle die from the Christmas Trees dies. Thread white Baker’s Twine through holes, tie bow at end.
  7. Stamp greeting in Tuxedo Black ink onto Basic White cardstock. Cut words apart and mount to Snowman image.
  8. Trim Wonderful Snowflake to a smaller shape. Add Wonderful Snowflake to top right corner of Snowman piece.
  9. Add one Elegant Faceted Gem to center of snowflake.

Thank You Cabin

Dimensions

  • Real Red: 4 1/4″ x 11″, scored at 5 1/2″
  • Basic Black: 3 7/8″ x 5 1/4″
  • Designer Paper: 3 3/4″ x 4″

Directions

  1. Adhere the designer paper to the Basic Black cardstock.
  2. Stamp the cabin on a piece of 3 3/4″ wide x approx. 3″ Basic White cardstock.
  3. Use the matching die to cut out the cabin with the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine. Adhere the cut out to the bottom of the designer paper. (Tip: don’t add adhesive to the right-hand side of the cabin so that you can tuck the tree behind in later)
  4. Place a ribbon on top of the layer and adhere the ends to the back. Tie a smaller piece of ribbon around it and cut the ends.
  5. Cut out 3 trees using the 3 different sized dies with Basic Black cardstock. Add shimmer to the trees using Wink of Stella.
  6. Adhere the trees to the card.
  7. Stamp the fox and the greeting in Real Red ink on Basic White cardstock. Cut out using the matching dies.
  8. Adhere the fox and add the greeting to the card using Dimensionals.
