I’ve been stamping so many Christmas cards lately, I thought it was time to create a different kind of card with colours I love! 🙂

I watercoloured the background and tried something I saw on someone’s card recently. For the raccoon and the heart, I created them by adhering 8 layers together and I love the look! Special Someone stampin up; Multi-Layer Image stamping

Directions

  1. Adhere the Whisper White cardstock to the Magenta Madness card.
  2. Cut out the Watercolor Paper Stitched Rectangle using the Stitched Rectangle Die.
  3. Cover Watercolor Paper with water using the large Watercolor Painter.
  4. Press the ink pads onto a stamping block, water it down slightly with the Water Painter, then pick up a bit of colour at a time to the Watercolor paper until the desired colour. Let dry, then adhere to the card.
  5. Stamp the outline of the raccoon on Whisper White cardstock using Memento Black ink.
  6. Stamp the shadow part of the raccoon using ___ ink pad. Cut out using the coordinating die.
  7. Use scrap white cardstock to cut out 8 more raccoon shapes, adhere them all together then adhere them to the card.
  8. Cut off a piece of Playful Pets black and white trim and remove the black thread so you can just use the white thread.
  9. Stamp the heart balloon on Whisper White cardstock using Magenta Madness ink. Cut out using the coordinating die.
  10. Use scrap white cardstock to cut out 8 more balloon shapes, adhere them all together and glue the ribbon to the back. Adhere them to the card.
  11. Add a bit of glue from the Fine-Tip Glue Pen to the hands of the raccoon and place the end of the ribbon on it. Let dry.
  12. Use the die to cut out a small bow in Magenta Madness cardstock and adhere on top of the raccoon.
  13. Stamp “Happy Birthday” greeting on scrap Whisper White cardstock using Magenta Madness ink and cut out using the Classic Label Punch. Add to the card using dimensionals.
  14. Add some Woven Threads Sequins to the card by placing small dots of Fine-Tip Glue Pen, then adding the sequins on top.

Emboss Resist Snowman Card

The emboss resist technique makes for a great background for any card. The pool party colour is great for backgrounds with snowflakes or snowmen!

Dimensions

  • Pool Party: 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2
  • Designer Paper: 4″ x 5 1/4″
  • Watercolor Paper: 3″ x 4 1/2″

Direction

  1. Place ribbon on top of the designer paper and adhere the ends behind the paper.
  2. Stamp the Merry Christmas greeting across the Watercolor Paper using Versamark ink.
  3. Sprinkle White Embossing Powder on top, then tap off the excess. Heat set until shiny using a Heat Tool.
  4. Use the large Water Painter to wet the Watercolor Paper.
  5. Take the Pool Party ink pad and add some ink to a stamping block. Water down the colour, then slowly add colour to the wet Watercolor Paper. Let dry then adhere to the card.
  6. Stamp the snowman on scrap Whisper White cardstock using Memento Black ink. Punch out using the coordinating punch. Colour the nose using the Pumpkin Pie Blends marker. Add the snowman to the card using Dimensionals.
  7. Use the Snowman punch to punch out the arms and hat with Basic Black cardstock. Add the hat with Dimensionals and the arms with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
  8. Stamp Merry Christmas on to Whisper White cardstock using Memento Black ink. Cut out using Paper Snips then add to the card using Dimensionals.
  9. Add some Adhesive-Backed Snowflakes to the card.

Measurements:

  • Thick Whisper White: 5 ½” x 8 ½” scored at 4 ¼”

Instructions:

  1. Stamp tree border and sentiment with Memento ink pad just above center on Designer Paper. Colour trees with Light Shaded Spruce and Light Crumb Cake Blends.
  2. Die-cut 3 pieces of Whisper White cardstock with dotted curvy die. Adhere to Designer Paper below stamped images, trimming as needed even with the bottom edge of Designer Paper.  Adhere to the folded card base.
  3. Stamp bow on Whisper White scrap with Memento ink pad and colour with Light and Dark Cherry Cobbler Blends. Fussy cut and adhere to the card front.
  4. Apply Shimmery Crystal Effects to the trees and let dry completely.

It’s a sledding kind of day!

Just a little sledding fun with friends!

Measurements

• Balmy Blue: 8 1/2” x 5 1/2”  AND  ½” x 2 ¼” for sentiment
• Whisper White: 4” x 4” 5” x 2 ¼” approx. for die-cuts
• Balmy Blue Glimmer Paper: 5 ¼” x 4”

Instructions

1. Fold card base on half at 4 ¼”. Attach Balmy Blue Glimmer Paper piece to card front using Stampin’ SEAL+.
2. Take the slope die and the Whisper White 4” x 4” piece of paper to die-cut the hill. I placed the slope die from the top left corner to the lower right corner and ran it through the die-cutting machine. You will get to pieces of the same size both with a stitched line.
3. Turn one of the die-cut slopes for the right side and attach it to the card front with Stampin’ SEAL+. Attach the other slope to the left side with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
4. Stamp the penguin, raccoon, and 2 small trees using Memento Black ink on the other scrap piece of Whisper White cardstock. Colour all the images using your Stampin’ Blends. Then die-cut with the coordinating dies.
5. Add all the die cuts to the scene using Stampin’ SEAL + and Stampin’ Dimensionals.
6. Stamp your sentiment on the Balmy Blue cardstock strip and flag the end with your paper snips. Add to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Thanks a Bunch of Sunflowers

Measurements

  • Daffodil Delight:  8 ½” x 5 ½”; scored at 4 ¼” to form the card base
  • Basic Black:  5 ½” x 3 ½”
  • Whisper White scraps

Directions:

  1. Fold Daffodil Delight Cardstock in half to form the card base.
  2. Stamp the large sunflower in Daffodil Delight ink in the upper right corner of the card front.
  3. Stamp the sunflower images several times on the Basic Black cardstock in Versamark ink.
  4. Apply the White Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat set. Let cool.
  5. Cut out the sunflower images using the 5” label (measured at widest point) with the dies and Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine.
  6. Place the smaller die inside the label (measuring 3 ¼” at widest point) and cut out the center.
  7. Glue the larger die frame to the card front.
  8. Pop up the smaller label with Stampin’ Dimensionals inside the frame.
  9. Stamp the words on a scrap of Whisper White in Tuxedo Black ink and cut out the words individually.
  10. Glue the words to the label as shown.
  11. Tie a bow in the ribbon and attach it to upper left corner of the label with a glue dot.
