When it comes to making 3D items, especially boxes, the Big Shot makes things fun and easy. Can you imagine cutting, scoring and assembling this box? The Matchbox Big XL Die (114890) is a huge time saver, doing the heavy lifting for you. You make a few folds, add some sticky strip and voila, instant box!

Step by Step Directions

  1. Cut out box and top piece out of Sahara Sand 12 x 12 cardstock using Big Shot machine.
  2. Assemble box bottom with sticky strip. (*Using Sticky Strip with boxes ensures they will stay together.)
  3. Take top of box and run through Big Shot again using Elegant Lines Embossing Folder. When you do this, you want to ensure that the bulk of the pattern is on the piece that will be facing up when this piece is assembled.
  4. Assemble box top using Sticky Strip and slide onto base.
  5. Take Basic Black Satin Ribbon and create a belly band around the box top, fastening the ends to the bottom of the box top with SNAIL.
  6. To create your flower, punch six 1 ¾ Scallop Circles from Blushing Bride Cardstock. Scrumple up each one and then mist them all with water so they are wet. Scrumble a bit more. Stack them up and then set the brad through the middle. Use your fingers to build up the layers as it dries. To speed drying use a heat tool and keep plumping up the layers so you have lots of petals.
  7. Attach finished flower to box over top of ribbon with a Stampin' Dimensionals.
  8. Stamp "friends" in Blushing Bride Classic Ink on Very Vanilla Cardstock and then punch out with Jewellery Tag punch.
  9. Attach tag to box, tucking under the edge of the flower, with SNAIL.

  1. Fold card base in half.
  2. Stamp birdcage on Crumb Cake in Soft Suede. Add stand underneath.
  3. Stamp highlight portion as outlined above.
  4. Stamp Owl in Soft Suede Classic Ink on Whisper White Cardstock and punch out with ¾ Inch Circle Punch. Layer on top of punch highlight affixing with SNAIL.

  6. Stamp greeting in Pink Pirouette Classic Ink and punch out with Word Window.
  7. Punch Soft Suede Cardstock with Modern Label; layer greeting on top with SNAIL.
  8. Add to card with Stampin' Dimensionals.

I’m back….

Posted on August 16, 2010 by Josee

It's official, I now live in Winnipeg, MB. It feels really weird to live in a new city and province. We've slept 2 nights now in our new house. I absolutely LOVE this house, it'll be much better though when I get a lawn and finish up unpacking the boxes. I have the kids rooms done and the kitchen and living room almost done. I still have alot to do but, I'm feeling ok.

My husband started his new job today so it means we are stuck at home with our mud yard. I'm still waiting for our cars to be shipped and we've only rented 1 car.

I haven't stamped in while now, and I'm definitely going through withdrawal. I'm going to try and get a temporary stamp room finished by the end of the week. I need some space!!! My basement here is not finished yet and probably won't be for months until we see if the floor settles. (Apparently this is a normal thing of Manitoba). For now, I will make up a space and buy some area rugs and some fabric for the walls to make it seem nice.

My kids have already met some kids on our street, thankfully there's a TON of kids. We live on a cul-de-sac and the people seem really great!

Since I'm not having any classes for now, I've decided to do a MOVING SALE!

From today till September 6th, I'm going to have a FREE SHIPPING SALE on all orders over $50.
