Special Day Cow

Today, it’s time for a COW CARD!! The Cutest Cows products are so cute! The bundle comes with the stamp set and a coordinating Cow Builder punch.

Directions

  1. Stamp the body of the cow, the little bird and the flowers on the Basic White cardstock approx. 3/4″ from the bottom.
  2. Stamp the milk can and the head of the cow on scrap Basic White cardstock. Use the punch to cut out the head and Paper Snips to cut the milk can.
  3. Colour all images using Stampin’ Blends, then add the head and can to the card using Dimensionals.
  4. Stamp the grass image randomly on the 3/4″ Lemon Lime cardstock. Use Paper Snips Scissors to cut the top edge. Adhere the “grass layer” to the card. Use the Paper Snips (or your fingers) to pull up some of the edge.
  5. Stamp the sun on to a scrap Basic White cardstock using the Lemon Lolly ink pad. Cut it out using the matching die from the Bright Skies Bundle. Add it to the card using Dimensionals.
  6. Stamp the greeting on to a scrap Basic White cardstock using Memento black ink. Cut it out using the 1 1/8″ x 1 3/4″ die from the Nested Essentials Dies. Add the greeting to the card using Dimensionals.
  7. Use Stazon to stamp the “bell” on to a scrap Gold Foil Sheet. Let dry, then cut it out using Paper Snips.

I Could Just Hug You

The Hearts & Hugs stamp set is absolutely adorable! It has 4 sweet animal images, 3 hearts and 5 different greetings.

Dimensions

  • Crumb Cake: 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″
  • Designer Series Paper (DSP): 4″ x 5 1/4″
  • Dies: 3″ circle

Directions

  1. Adhere the Designer Paper to the card.
  2. Cut out a 3″ dotted circle using the Stylish Shapes Dies.
  3. Use the small tip of the Early Espresso Stampin’ Write marker to outline the dots on the outside of the circle.
  4. Stamp the image on Basic White cardstock using Memento black ink. Colour it in using the Crumb Cake Blends and the Petal Pink Blends.
  5. Stamp the greeting on Crumb Cake cardstock using Cherry Cobbler ink. Cut it out using the banner die from the Stylish Shapes Dies.
  6. Cut out 3 hearts using the die with Cherry Cobbler cardstock. Adhere them to the circle.
  7. Add the circle to the card using Dimensionals. Add the hamster to the circle using Dimensionals.
  8. Place a Dimensional on the left hand side of the greeting banner and Liquid Glue to the right side of it to add it to the card.
  9. Take 2 pieces of Linen Thread and tie them in a bow. Add the bow to the card using a Mini Glue Dot folded in half.

Sending Birthday Hugs

I think this sweet mouse is the cutest animal in the Hearts & Hugs stamp set.

Dimensions: 

  • Melon Mambo: 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″
  • Designer Series Paper (DSP): 4″ x 5 1/4″
  • Dies: 2 3/4″ (Melon Mambo) and 2 3/8″ (Basic White)
  • Basic Black: 1 3/4″ x 5 1/4″

Directions

  1. Adhere the Basic Black cardstock to the Designer Paper. Place a piece of ribbon on top of the Basic Black layer and adhere the ends to the back. Place a shorter piece of ribbon around and tie it in a knot. Cut ends of the ribbon. Adhere this layer to the card.
  2. Cut out the squares using the 2 3/4″ (Melon Mambo) and 2 3/8″ (Basic White) dies from the Stylish Shapes Dies.
  3. Use the Black Stampin’ Write marker to connect the dot around the edges of each square. Adhere the Melon Mambo square to the card with Liquid Glue. Adhere the Basic White square to the card using Dimensions.
  4. Stamp the mouse on a scrap piece of Basic White cardstock. Colour it with Stampin’ Blends, then cut it out using the coordinating die. Add it to the card using Dimensionals.
  5. Stamp the greeting at the bottom of a Melon Mambo cardstock. Use Paper Snips to cut the 3 words apart. Add them to the card using Dimensionals.

Butterfly Thanks Spotlight Technique

Now, we are on to Card #3 on the Spotlighting Technique series.

What’s the Spotlighting Technique?
This technique creates a beautiful focal point with just a die or punch and some colouring. There are so many different variations to design a card with this technique and I hope you enjoy my designs!

Dimensions

  • Peach Pie: 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″
  • Fresh Freesia: 4″ x 5 1/4″
  • Basic White: 3 3/4″ x 5″
  • Circle Dies: 3 1/4″ and 1 5/8″

Directions

  1. Stamp the images randomly on the Basic White cardstock using Memento Black ink.
  2. Cut out part of the image using the 3 1/4″ circle Die.
  3. Adhere the 4″ x 5 1/4″ Basic White cardstock to the card.
  4. Use the Stampin’ Blends to colour the cut out circle. Add shimmer using the Wink of Stella Glitter Brush.
  5. Stamp the greeting on a piece of Petunia Pop cardstock using its matching ink pad then cut it out with the 1 5/8″ circle die. Use the splatter stamp around the greeting.
  6. Add both to the card using Dimensionals.
  7. Add Resin Dots.

Dear Friend Spotlight Technique

Here is the 2nd card that I created using the Spotlighting Technique. The fun part of this technique is you can feature any part of the images you stamp using any punch or die you have on hand.

What’s the Spotlighting Technique?
This technique creates a beautiful focal point with just a die or punch and some colouring. There are so many different variations to design a card with this technique and I hope you enjoy my designs!

Dimensions

    • Lemon Lime Twist: 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″
    • Basic White: 4″ x 5 1/4″
    • Nested Essentials Dies: length 3 7/8″ and 4 1/4″

Directions

  1. Stamp the leaf image randomly on the Basic White cardstock using Memento Black ink.
  2. Cut out part of the image using the 3 7/8″ Nested Die.
  3. Stamp the splatter image around the leaves of the 4″ x 5 1/4″ cardstock using Lemon Lime Twist ink. (not including the cut out shape)
  4. Use the Stampin’ Blends to colour the cut out image.  [Leaves: Light and Dark Granny Apple Green, Light and Dark Lemon Lime Twist, Dark Old Olive]
  5. Colour in the empty space around the leaves on the cut shape using Light Soft Sea Foam Blend.
  6. Cut a piece of Lemon Lime Twist cardstock with the 4 1/4″ Nested Die shape.
  7. Adhere the coloured shape and the cut out Lemon Lime shape together. Add both to the card using Dimensionals.
  8. Adhere the 4″ x 5 1/4″ Basic White cardstock to the card using Multipurpose Glue. Add the cut out shapes to the card using Dimensionals.
  9. Stamp the greeting using Memento ink on a piece of Basic Black cardstock. Sprinkle white Embossing Powder on top, tap off the excess and heat set with the Heat Tool. Cut it out using Paper Snips. Add the greeting to the card using Dimensionals.
