Walrus HI!

Today was officially the first day that my family was all at home due to COVID-19. It’s the start of a few long weeks of being home, so I will be doing a lot of stamping and sharing! 🙂

Measurements:

  • Whisper White Thick Card Stock – 5-1/2” x 8-1/2” score long side at 4-1/4” and a 2” circle, scraps for birds.
  • Balmy Blue Card Stock – 4” x 5-1/4”
  • Real Red Card Stock – 2-1/4” circle, scraps for sentiment

Instructions:

  1. Fold Thick Whisper White card base in half.
  2. Emboss Balmy Blue card stock panel using the High Seas Textured Embossing Folder and adhere to the front of the Thick Whisper White card base.
  3. Stamp the Walrus image on the 2” Whisper White circle and colour with Stampin’ Blends and adhere using Stampin’ Dimensionals to the 2-1/4” Real Red circle.
  4. Next, adhere walrus image to card front as shown.
  5. Stamp the sentiment onto scraps of Real Red card stock and cut out. Adhere to card front using Stampin’ Dimensionalsas shown.
  6. Stamp bird images in Momento Tuxedo Black ink and colour with Stampin’ Blends. Cut out and adhere to card.
  7. Add Epoxy Droplets to the card as shown.
  8. Use Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush to highlight the waves and water.

Thank You Berry Much

I’ve been wanting to use the Hammered Metal 3D Embossing Folder for a while now and I finally pulled it out today for this card. The texture it creates, especially on the Black Foil Sheet, is so much better in real life!!! I love how it turned out. 🙂

I got the Stitched So Sweetly Dies a bit ago and after this card, I love how pretty the layer turned out with the Witty-cisms stamp set.

Dimensions: 
Old Olive: 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″
Real Red: 4″ x 5 1/4″
Black Foil Sheet: 2 1/4 x 5 1/4″
Whisper White: approx. 2″ x  3 1/4″

 

Directions: 

  1. Use the Hammered Metal 3D embossing folder to add texture to the Black Foil Sheet.
  2. Add Tear & Tape Adhesive to the back of the textured layer and place it on Real Red cardstock.
  3. Colour the ribbon using the Dark Real Red Stampin’ Blend marker. (Tip: I coloured both sides to make it darker.)
  4. Place the ribbon on top of the 2 layers and adhere ends to the back of the cardstock. Tie a smaller piece of the ribbon around the first piece.
  5. Adhere Real Red cardstock to the card base using Tear & Tape Adhesive.
  6. Stamp the image and greeting on to Whisper White cardstock.
  7. Use Stampin’ Blends to colour the strawberry.
  8. Cut out the image using the 2″ x  3 1/4″ die from the Stitched So Sweetly Dies.
  9. Place dimensionals on the back of the Whisper White layer and place it on the card.

Full of Adventure

Measurements:
• Card Stock 1: Gray Granite 8 1/2” x 5 1/2” AND 4” x 1”
• Card Stock 2: Whisper White 5 ¼” x 4” AND 4 ½” x 3” for trees

Instructions:
1. Start with the Whisper White Cardstock layer and stamp the mountains in the back with Balmy Blue ink.
2. Next, stamp the backside of the row of trees at the base of the mountains with Gray Granite ink.
3. Stamp the row of trees (the side of the stamp with detail) on top of the shadow with Basic Gray ink.
4. Stamp 3 sets of birds in the sky with Basic Gray ink. Stamp some clouds with Balmy Blue but stamp off on scrap paper first for a lighter shade.
5. Stamp 3 trees on Whisper White scrap paper at least 4 ½” x 3” using Mossy Meadow ink. I stamped off for 2 of the trees and one is full strength. Die cut the trees using the Majestic Mountain dies in the bundle.
6. Use snail adhesive to attach the trees to the stamped layer.
7. Stamp the sentiment (from the stamp set Petal to the Medal) on the Gray Granite Cardstock strip and attach it to the stamped layer with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
8. Wrap Linen Thread around the area where the trees are 2 times and tie a bow.
9. Then, attach that whole layer to the card front using snail adhesive.
