Discover Project Life!

Good Morning!

Today I wanted to show you a little bit more about Project Life. As you may have noticed, you can get the This Day Project Life Mini Card Collection for FREE with your Sale-A-Bration purchase!! If you are a scrapbooker, or just wish you were, Project Life is a great way to speed up page creation to be able to just get it done! Even if you aren't a scrapbooker, the Project Life cards can add alot to your regular photo albums too- especially if you are already printing 4×6" photos.

If you haven't heard– you SHOULD be printing your photos!! The reality is many of us take so many digital images- especially with the convenience of our phone cameras- but we don't print them out! If we share them at all, it is usually digitally, like on Facebook or Instagram.

In the 'paper' version of Project Life, all you do is add your printed photos to the Project Life album page protectors and then just add the Project Life cards and journal cards to add your title, a decorative card and/or journal about your photos. So easy!! And more importantly, it's done! Of course, if you want to make it more creative and want to spend some extra time on the pages, you can add stamping, ribbon, buttons, etc. just like a traditional scrapbook page.

Project Life is also available digitally, but that's a topic for another day!

In these examples, you will notice there are 4"x6" photos as well as 3"x4" photos. I like to print 2- 3"x4" photos together on one 4"x6" sheet! Whether you are printing at home or at a lab, you can create a 'collage' in 4"x6" size using various free apps or software.

The best part of Project Life is that it can be a super easy project to take along to the cottage or a friend's house, or even to just sit in front of the tv!— all you need with you is an album, page protectors, photos, Project Life cards and a pen!!

Take it up a notch and bring along an Accessory Pack and make it super easy to add more detail and be more creative with the Project Life cards by adding the accessory stickers! If you choose, take it up another notch by bringing an ink pad or two and one of the matching Project Life Stamp Sets!! Then sit back and enjoy your album all done and ready to share with family and friends! It really is that easy! The hardest part will be choosing the photos you want to print!!

Of course, you can use the Project Life cards and Accessory Packs on traditional scrapbook pages and even use them to make cards!! Why not?!

Painted Blooms Mini Treat Bag Thinlit Card

Good Morning!

Thanks for stopping by today! I've got a fun card to share today!

If you don't have the Mini Treat Bag Thinlit Dies yet, I think you are going to want it after you see how versatile it can be! In this post, I showed you the Mini Treat Bag as treat bag but with a little creativity you can make it into a card!

I used the Mini Treat Bag Thinlit to cut this gorgeous paper from the Painted Blooms Designer Series Paper. I put the 'bag' together as per the instructions that came with the die. Very easy! Then I cut a piece of Whisper White cardstock to fit inside the 'treat bag'- leaving room for it to slide in and out of the bag easily. I die cut a 'tab' for the card insert with the Deco Label Framelits die, folded it and adhered that onto the Whisper White piece and added some ribbon from the Sale-a-Bration freebie: Best Year Ever Accessory Pack.

Then I decorated the outside of the 'treat bag'. I just love the Bow Builder punch- it really makes it so easy to add a cute touch to the card! The words 'Just For You' are from the stamp set From the Herd.

I left the inside card blank so I could hand write a message, but you could stamp it with a sentiment or flowers from Painted Petals! This would be great for a gift card too- just use some glue dots to hold the gift card to the inside card!

Birthday Bash & Blendabilities Update

Today I wanted to share a quick and simple card with you! I love quick and simple cards! Let's face it, sometimes you just need a quick card for those last minute occasions!

I stamped the candle from Big Day Stamp Set for the background on Whisper White and then used my circle punches and the Birthday Bash Designer Series Paper to decorate the card. How do you use Sequin Trim?

Good Morning!

Welcome back to the blog! As I promised you last week, I wanted to show you a great way to use the Bermuda Bay Sequin Trim! But first, I announced on Tuesday that Stampin' Up has released FOUR new products for you to choose from for FREE when you make a $60 purchase during the last month of Sale-a-bration!! These are the NEW products that will be available for FREE on March 1st with your Sale-A-Bration purchases!!

Now, onto today's card.

This Bermuda Bay Sequin Trim is so pretty, but admittedly I sometimes find it hard to use because it doesn't tie up nicely like regular ribbon. So, when I came up with this idea, I was pretty happy with myself…lol!

I used the Stacked With Love Designer Series Paper as the base and punched it with the Confetti Hearts Border Punch for a peek-a-boo effect. Love this heart punch! Then I embossed some Whisper White cardstock with the Happy Heart Textured Impressions Embossing Folder and then decided to cut around the heart shapes, just for something different. Then I stamped the little heart from You Brighten My Day (a FREE stamp set through Sale-a-bration!).

For the sequin flower, I used one of the Jumbo Sticky Rounds and started in the middle with one of the buttons from the Artisan Embellishement Kit and then started with one end of the Bermuda Bay Sequin Trim and stuck it down following the sticky round until I had covered the whole circle.

I finished off the card with some Whisper White Organza Ribbon as the leaves for the flower.
