Easter Inspiration and our Friday Freebie Winner!

Now, I've got another Easter project to share today! A cute little Easter ensemble

First, the cute little basket! I kept this basket pretty simple, but I've seen alot of examples of baskets really done up wonderfully! You can dress it up or keep it simple. I cut the Baked Brown Sugar cardstock using the Berry Bigz Die and put it together with some Sticky Strip, then dressed it up with some ribbon from the Best Year Ever Accessory Pack- a Sale-a-Bration freebie!

Now, for the card. I have to say, I'm really happy with the way the card turned out. I thought it would be cute to have the bird from the Cheerful Critter stamp set coming out of an egg.

I started with the Rose Red card base and added a layer of Daffodil Delight. Then I cut a layer of Soft Sky and die cut the border with the dotted border die from the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits die set. Then I added the Painted Blooms Designer Series paper on the bottom of the Soft Sky layer, cutting the edge of it by hand.

The egg was cut with the Oval Collection Framelit, embossed with the Chevron Textured Impression Embossing folder and then cut by hand in a zig zag for the cracked egg look.

The 'chick' from Cheerful Critters was coloured and then cut by hand and then adhered to the card front. A little Organza ribbon finishes it all off!

Spring Flowers

Good Morning!

Edited to add an Update: Before I show you today's card, I have some bad news to share, an update on the issue with the Blendabilities…

The manufacturer is unable to correct the problem in a manner that we are certain would meet our high quality standards and provide us with a stable, long-term solution. Therefore, after a great deal of deliberation and in order to prevent further disappointment, the Blendabilities product line has been discontinued. Most Blendabilities markers work as intended. We ask that you use your best judgment to determine whether your product is in good condition or if you need a refund. Due to the Sale-A-Bration Blendabilities no longer being available, demand for the other Sale-A-Bration items will be higher- that means Sale-A-Bration freebies are now WHILE SUPPLIES LAST!

Here is a little Q&A to help answer any questions you may have about this issue:

Q. I purchased Blendabilities and they are currently on backorder.	A. Do nothing. The refund will be automatically processed within the next month.
Q. I selected Blendabilities as my SAB/Host Rewards redemption item. They are on backorder or are defective.	A.Contact your Demonstrator to choose a replacement item(Please have your order number and replacement item number ready.)
Q. I purchased and received Blendabilities. They are defective.	A. Contact your Demonstrator for Support by June 15.

Now, on to some good news! We are finally getting wonderful weather here, it is finally starting to feel like Spring is on it's way! That means that Easter is coming soon too so I wanted share an Easter card I made 🙂

For the card base, I used the large scalloped oval from the Ovals Collection Framelits and cut the oval from a standard card size cut of Rich Razzleberry- making sure not to cut the fold line.

Then I cut a Whisper White layer and a strip of the Painted Blooms Designer Series Paper from the next size oval and embossed them with the Spring Flowers Textured Impressions Embossing folder. Then I cut and then embossed a strip of Coastal Cabana with the Chevron Textured Impressions Embossing folder. I tied some Best Year Ever Accessory Pack ribbon and then adhered the whole thing to the card base.

For the sentiment, I cut both the Painted Blooms Designer Series Paper and the Whisper White with the Deco Labels Collection Framelits and stamped the sentiment from the Painted Petals stamp set in Rich Razzleberry and adhered that to the front of the card.

I hope you like it! Now, if only those plastic eggs had some chocolate in them!
