Good Morning!

Have you got a graduation celebration coming up in the next few months? Today I wanted to share a fun card ensemble I made for a graduate gift!

StampingJo Tiny Treat Box & Label Card Thinlit Grad Ensemble

Let's start with the card. I used the Label Card Thinlits die to create the card base from Island Indigo and cut the inside of the card with Whisper White. Then, I had a little fun with the Bravo photopolymer stamp set and stamped on the Whisper White with Tuxedo Black, then coloured in some of the letters with Stampin Write markers. I tied some Silver Baker's Twine to the inside piece and adhered all the layers on the card base.

Then I took the Tiny Treat Box and created a grad cap out of it. 🙂 I cut 2 strips about 1" long out of the Island Indigo cardstock, then used the Labels Collection Framelits die to create the peak along the edge of the strips and adhered them to the box along the top edge (notice the box is upside down to allow opening the box). I cut a square about 3" for the top of the cap. Then, I created a tassle out of the Silver Bakers Twine, punched a hole in the top of the square, threaded the tassle through the hole and adhered the tassle to the underside of the cap top. Then I added a circle epoxy sticker from the Itty Bitty Accents Epoxy Stickers to the top.

StampingJo Grad Tiny Treat Box To finish off the box, I stamped the WooHoo! stamp from Big News and the stars are from the candle in the same set. I used the Stampin' Write markers to ink up on the parts of the stamps I wanted to use. I then used the little banner die from the Label Card Thinlits to die cut the sentiment and adhered it to the front of the box.

Now I think this ensemble would be great for gift giving- you could fit a small gift in this box- like some jewelry, money or chocolates.

Hooray It’s Your Day!

Good Morning!

Today I wanted to show you an AWESOME card kit available in the 2015 Occasions Catalogue. I think it may be one of those kits you might overlook at first, but once you realize how much fun it is you will wish you had seen it sooner!

Pictured here is everything you get with the Hooray It's Your Day kit, plus I added the optional stamp set Hooray It's Your Day, which was a perfect match to add to the kit.

The best part of playing with this kit, was that you can really make the cards any way you want to. I made a few birthday cards and some all occasion cards that have come in pretty handy 🙂

Stamping Jo Hooray It's Your Day kit cards, Stampin Up Probably the most important thing you will need to use this kit is somewhere you can spray the Stampin' Spritzers without getting the ink everywhere! Some newspapers and/or a box are great for this! Then you can go to town spray the pre-made cards using the included masks. Be prepared, you will get your fingers dirty! I used Bermuda Bay, Daffodil Delight and Melon Mambo inks in the Stampin' Spritzers. I had some Spritzers already so I did use an extra one, but it was handy because I was able to mix some of the colours to get some amazing looks!

Once you have spritzed the cards and allowed them to dry, you can start adding the stamped sentiments and embellishments. The kit comes with some wood cutouts, white die cuts and white baker's twine that can also be coloured with the Stampin' Spritzers.

One fun thing to note about this card kit is that some of the cards are gift card holders, some are file folder type cards, some are the tab folded card and some are regular cards. So you really get a variety of card styles to play with! PLUS, all the envelopes are included too!

Celebrate Today Birthday

Good Morning!

I've got a fun and easy card to share with you today!

This card starts with the Celebrate Today stamp set. I stamped the 'Happy' balloon stamp in Bermuda Bay on the Whisper White cardstock, then added the bottom of the hot air balloon in Tuxedo Black. Then I stamped the background with the dotted stamp from this set, stamping it in Whisper White and then heat embossed it with White emboss powder.

I cut the fun little banners with the matching Balloon Framelits dies and the Birthday Bash Designer Washi Sheets.

The sentiment is stamped on Calypso Coral and punched out with the Modern Label punch and adhered on there with Stampin' Dimensionals.

Use a marker to create some grass on the bottom of the Whisper White layer. Then adhere that to a layer of Calypso Coral and add a Bermuda Bay card base. A fun birthday card!

Indescribable Gifts too

Good Morning!

I hope you are enjoying your weekend so far! I am back with another card using Indescribable Gifts.

Supplies Used:

Measurements:

Pink Pirouette: Base card 4 1/4" x 11" scored at 5 1/2”, 4 1/4” x 51/2”

Vellum Card Stock: 4 1/4” x 5 1/2”

Whisper White: 4 1/4” x 5 1/2” (2)

Instructions:

Fold Pink Pirouette card stock in half and place the Scalloped Oval Framelit so that 5 scallops hang over the top of the card (this will make a hinge at the top of the card)

Using Pink Pirouette cut another full scallop oval. This will glue over the top of the card base

Cut 2 pieces of Whisper White Card Stock and Vellum with the largest Oval Framelit

Stamp the blossom image and saying with Early Espresso Ink on the vellum

Turn vellum over and color on back with the Subtles Markers

Adhere the vellum to one of the Whisper White Ovals with Glue Dots and adhere to front of card base with adhesive.

Adhere other Whisper White oval to inside of card with adhesive

Using the paper piercing tool poke a hole in each scallop.
