Creativ Festival

Good Morning!

Today I've got a cute project to show you. I think this is a great Father's Day project, but….I also think with some creative changes to the stamps and colours used this could be modified to make a great Mother's Day gift on a bottle of wine too 🙂

Here are the supplies needed for this project:

Measurements:

Card Stock: Basic Gray—2.5” x 6.75” scored at 2” from top , Naturals White— 4.25” x 1.5” and scrap for banner
DSP: 1 piece of your favorite Adventure Bound DSP — 1” x 4.25” and co-ordinating 1/2” x 4.25” . Optional: Cut a piece of the DSP to cover the front of the bottle (hint: you may end up with a scrap for the thinner strip needed on bib)

Chevron Ribbon: One 6” length and one 1.5” for bowtie

Instructions:

Punch 1-3/8” circle on the 2” end of the Basic Gray card stock to fit over neck of bottle
Stamp “Father” in Island Indigo on the bottom of the Naturals White and “World’s Greatest” on the scrap, then trim banner. Stamp strong man in Basic Gray above “Father”.
Adhere stamped piece and DSP to front of bottle bib. Attach banner with dimensional
Atttach 6” length of ribbon in a loop using sticky strip on one end. Wrap 1-1/2” ribbon around middle to form a bowtie and adhere with sticky strip.
Optional: Cover front of bottle with DSP to match bib.
Fold bib on score line and put on neck of bottle BEFORE attaching bowtie with dimensional 🙂

Butterfly Basics Colouring

Good Morning!

I am off to Creativ Festival today to set up my booth! It's going to be a busy weekend, but I love it! A huge thank you in advance to all those that will be helping me out this weekend- and to those who offered! I really appreciate all those who volunteered to help- even if you did not get chosen to help this time around, please know that I really do appreciate you volunteering your time! It means so much!

I do have a card I wanted to share with you today.

StampingJo Butterfly Basics watercolor

I used the Butterfly Basics stamp set for this card. I chose Perfect Plum for the card base and stamped the background leaves in Whisper White. Then I cut the oval mat from Painted Blooms DSP using the Ovals Collection dies and then stamped the flower on Whisper White and cut in with the next size die. I coloured it in using Stampin' Write markers, Aqua Painters and alcohol. It's a little hard to see, but I also stamped a bit of a paint splattered background on the flower layer using the Gorgeous Grunge splatter stamp.

The sentiment is stamped on Whisper White in Perfect Plum and then I cut it using only part of the Apothecary Accents die, by putting the strip of cardstock under only one part of the die so that just the ends were cut. 🙂

To finish off, I made a fun little knotted accent with the Silver Baker's Twine and added a Something Borrowed Embellishment and some Rhinestones Basics Jewels.

Nobody Loves Like Mom

Good Morning!

Today I've got a fun and easy technique to share today. Plus, it's a great way to use the Mother's Love stamp set that is on sale this week!!

A Mother's Love,triple time stamping

Supplies used:

Built for Free Using: My Stampin Blog

Measurements:

Strawberry Slush 8 ½ x 5 ½ score at 4 ¼, 4 ½ x 3 ¼ and 3 ½ x 2 ¼
Whisper White 5 ¼ x 4, 4 ¼ x 3 and 3 ¼ x 2

Instructions:

Layer all 3 of your whisper white pieces on top of each other using the 2 Way Glue Pen (apply a few dots of adhesive on the back of each layer and allow to dry before layering for a temporary adhesion) Stamp your words in Garden Green in the center.
Stamp your flowers with Stems outline and your flowers alone in Garden Green Randomly until all of your white looks pretty filled but not too filled. (don’t forget your corners and outside edges and be sure to stamp off the edges as needed.
Next Stamp your inside images of flower and stems and flowers alone in Strawberry Slush to fill all of your green images.
Next peel your White layers apart one by one, I started from the top and adhere them to the coordinating Strawberry slush piece and then adhere them to the next layer of white until your card is complete.
