A Beautiful Ride Salt Technique

Hello!

I've got a lovely card to show you today, using a fun technique and A Beautiful Ride– from the 2016 Occasions catalogue!

This is such an easy tecnique, but it really makes a WOW background!

How to Make It:

Using stamp pads, apply Bermuda Bay & Pool Party inks onto a Clear Block E (1 color on each half of the block)
Spritz block with water then stamp onto watercolor paper and hold for 5 seconds
Remove block and sprinkle salt onto the watercolor paper
Dry the paper with a heat tool and brush off the salt
Stamp the Car image with Black ink onto watercolor paper (Tip: use an unused pierce mat underneath to help get a good stamped image)
Stamp hearts onto car and paint hearts with Wink of Stella, adhere to black layer
Stamp greeting in center of watercolor strip, add black piece to the end and tie the ribbon around it.
Banner cut the end of the greeting strip and adhere to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals
Add a few Sequins to the card using the Fine-Tip Glue Pen
Adhere to Pool Party cardbase

Measurements:

Pool Party 5 1/2 x 8 1/2

Black 4 3/4 x 3 3/4 plus 1/2 x 1/2

Watercolor 4 5/8 x 3 5/8 plus 1/2 x 3 3/4

Stampers Dozen Blog Hop: Let’s Sale-A-Brate!

In case you haven't noticed yet, I am loving the Curvy Corner Trio Punch! It is such a versatile punch and adds so much 'punch' to cards!

Tips to Make It:

For the clouds: Cut two of the flowers from Whisper White using the Flower Fair Framelits, then cut the flower die cuts in half to make clouds leaving one larger, then stamp sentiment
Run the Wink of Stella around edges of the clouds
Stamp the airplane and smoke trail with black ink
Adhere clouds to the bottom of the piece using SNAIL for first two, and Stampin’ Dimensionals for the stamped sentiment cloud
Wrap ribbon around the Soft Sky piece, then adhere to card base
Use more Wink of Stella to add sparkle to the airplane and smoke trail

New Occasions Catalogue: Rose Wonder No Layer Card

Hello!

I just love the card I am about to show you. I have to admit, I often try out 'no layer' cards without much success 🙁 I often find there is something missing or it just needs more depth. Well, I actually like the way my 'no layer' card turned out this time!

Rose Wonder, Rose Garden Thinlit, hand stamped card, home made card, no layer card, gorgeous grunge, silver foil, Big Shot, Curvy Corner Trio punch, watercolor,

I think the reason it really works for me is because the Rose Garden Thinlit cut out adds that bit of depth I often find lacking on my no layer attempts! It is such a pretty cut out- and with the help of the Big Shot Die Brush and Precision Plate it was super easy to cut and take out of the die!

Tips to Make It:

Stamp the Rose image in black- don’t worry if it’s not stamped perfectly as it’s going to get covered by the die cut! Allow the ink to dry
While you are waiting for the ink to dry, die cut the rose with Silver Foil paper; use the Precision Plate and the Big Shot Die Brush to get a perfect cut
WaterColor the inside of the rose using Rose Red and Pear Pizzaz and Aqua Painters; use more of a concentrated color- not too much water; Allow it to dry
Once dry, stamp the grunge effect on the rose using Old Olive and Rich Razzleberry
Use the Fine Tip Glue Pen (sparingly) or the Two Way Glue Pen to glue the die cut right on top of the stamped lines
Stamp the sentiment
Punch the corners using the Curvy Corner Trio Punch
Add the ribbon with a Glue Dot
Add a little Wink of Stella to the inside of the rose and leaves

New Occasions Catalogue: Party With Cake Birthday card

Hello!

Today's card is another card from last week's card class. It looks like a bit of a complicated card, but with the help of the Party Pop Up Thinlits it's super easy!! Party With Cake stamp set, hand stamped, birthday card, Big Shot, Confetti, balloon punch, Party Punch Pack, Party Pop Up Thinlits

This is the front of the card, I used the NEW Confetti Textured Impressions Embossing Folder on the card front. Then stamped the sentiment from Party with Cake in the middle with Tempting Turquoise. Party With Cake stamp set, hand stamped, birthday card, Big Shot, Confetti, balloon punch, Party Punch Pack, Party Pop Up Thinlits This is the inside of the card with the Party Pop Up Thinlit- so simple to make a fun pop up card!!

Tips to Make It:

Die cut the inside Whisper White piece- line up the arrows on the die with the center score line
Add Tear & Tape Adhesive to the back of the die cut piece using small pieces around the die cut areas as well as the corners
Line the die cut piece up with the card base score line and press down to adhere
Adhere the card front
Punch balloons out of the Blushing Bride Glimmer Paper and adhere with Stampin’ Dimensionals
