The new Eclectic Garden stamp set will be available starting January 4th, 2022!

Colouring the bird in the Eclectic Garden stamp set took me a bit longer than the other images in this stamp set. I used a variety of colours and kept adding colours until I liked the finished product! For the tummy, I used small strokes all around and did this with multiple colours.

Dimensions

  • Granny Apple Green: 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″
  • Basic Black: 4″ x 5 1/4″
  • Designer Paper: 3 3/4″ x 5″
  • Shimmery White: 2 1/4″ x 3 5/8″  and  7/8″ x 1 7/8″

Directions: 

  1. Adhere the designer paper to the Basic Black cardstock.
  2. Wrap 2 pieces of 5″ black Twine around the 2 layers and adhere the ends to the back. Use another 2 pieces of twine to tie a bow around the first pieces of twine.
  3. Stamp the bird image on a piece of Shimmery White cardstock, then cut it out using the 2 1/4″ x 3 5/8″ Stitched Rectangle Die.
  4. Colour the image using Stampin’ Blend Markers.  Adhere it to the card using Dimensionals.
  5. Stamp the greeting on the Shimmery White cardstock using Memento Black ink. Use the side of scissors (Paper Snips) to round up the edges. Add Stampin’ Seal to the left-side of the greeting layer and a Dimensional on the right-hand side of the layer, then add to the card.

Sneak Peek: You Make Me Happy

This card really does make me happy! I really like using products that coordinate with each other! This stamp set has matching dies and matching 6″ x 6″ designer paper which makes it easy to create! Directions

  1. Adhere the swirly designer paper to the card, then adhere the striped paper on top.
  2. Cut out the rainbow arches from the designer paper using the rainbow die.
  3. Cut out Basic White cardstock using the 2 1/2″ x 4″ Stitched Rectangle Die.
  4. Cut out the Rainbow on the Basic White cardstock using the die closer to the top of the rectangle.
  5. Stamp the greeting below the cut out.
  6. Turn the cut out upside down and place Tear & Tape Adhesive on the back.
  7. Place the cut out arches on top of the sticky Tear & Tape.
  8. Add Wink of Stella on top of the coloured arches.
  9. Cut out scallops from Granny Apple Green cardstock. You’ll have to cut out 2 strips and adhere them side by side.
  10. Wrap a piece of Baker’s Twine around the Stitched Rectangle and double knot, then tie in a bow. (Tip: I find it easier to tie my bows upside down.)
  11. Adhere the rectangle to the card on an angle.
  12. Cut out the clouds with the dies using Coastal Cabana cardstock. Use a dauber to add colour to the edges of the clouds. Add them to the card using dimensionals.

Sneak Peek: We Have to Celebrate

Here’s another preview of products coming in the new 2022 Mini Catalogue in January.

For this card, I used the new Butterflies & Flowers Layering Decorative Masks coming out in the January to June 2022 Mini Catalogue. There are 6 different masks and they are beautiful to use with either ink or Embossing Paste.

Directions

  1. Place the mask on top of the Shimmery White Cardstock, then use the Blending Brush to pick up ink from the Blushing Bride ink pad. Blend the ink in a circular motion on top of the mask. Wipe the mask with a soft cloth between applications so that excess ink does not get on to the white space on the cardstock. (Tip: press firmly on the mask to make sure it doesn’t move or use Washi Tape to keep it into place.)
  2. Rinse off or wipe off the mask, then place the layer of the flower on top of the flower and use the Polished Pink ink to add the detail. Adhere the layers together.
  3.  Stamp the greeting on a piece of Shimmery White cardstock using the Polished Pink ink pad.
  4. Cut out the greeting using the 2 1/4″ tag die from the Hippos & Friends Dies while making sure that the greeting is close to the right hand side. Use the slit die to cut out the left side of the tag.
  5. Colour the Crinkled Ribbon using the Dark Polished Pink Stampin’ Blend. Loop the ribbon through the slit on the tag. Add the white Baker’s Twine by tying a double knot around the pink ribbon. Add the tag to the card using Dimensionals.
  6. Add Rhinestones to the middle of the multi-coloured flowers.

Sneak Peek: Shimmery Butterflies

Happy Monday stampers! I’ve sent out all my Christmas Cards and received my box of products from the new 2022 January to June Mini Stampin’ Up! Catalogue so I’ve started playing! 🙂 This card was one that I could see in my head easily before I started making it and it turned out just as beautiful as I imagined it. It may be hard to see in the picture, but, the butterflies are sooo sparkly!

Directions

  1. Press the Highland Heather ink pad on to a corner of a stamping block. Pick up the colour from the stamping block with the largest Water Painter and swipe the colour back and forth on to the Watercolor Paper. Let dry or Heat set. Repeat with the Polished Pink and the Coastal Cabana ink pads.
  2. Place the butterfly mask on top of the Watercolor Paper and use a Palette Knife to add Shimmery Embossing Paste. Let dry and repeat between. (Tip: make sure to wash the mask quickly after use so that the paste doesn’t harden to much)
  3. Adhere the layers together and add 3 Black Dots to the bottom left.
  4. Stamp the greeting on the piece of Basic Black cardstock using Versamark ink. Sprinkle White Embossing Powder on top, tap off excess and heat set. (Tip: use retired Heat Tool or a Dryer sheet on the piece of Basic Black cardstock first before stamping to take out the static from the cardstock).
  5. Add the greeting to the card using Dimensionals.
