Happy Birthday with Style

Here’s a cute card that uses the Driving By stamp set out of the Sale-A-bration sale! This is a bonus set that you can select with a min. $60 order and it’s adorable, isn’t it?!

Dimensions: 

  • Petal Pink: 4 1/4″ x 11”, scored at 5 1/2″
  • Basic White: 4” x 5 1/4”

Instructions:

  1. Cut and score Petal Pink card base. Fold in half.
  2. Cut Basic White Cardstock to 4” x 5.25”
  3. Stamp “van” image repeatedly around the white cardstock in Tuxedo Black ink.
  4. Colour “van” body using Pool Party Stampin’ Blends.
  5. Colour van rims using Bermuda Bay Stampin’ Blends.
  6. Colour tires using Basic Black Light Stampin’ Blends.
  7. Colour hubcaps using Petal Pink Light Stampin’ Blends.
  8. Colour windows using Smoky Slate Light Stampin’ Blends. Go over windows with the Color Lifter.
  9. Using a generic white gel pen, draw reflection lines in the van windows.
  10. Stamp greeting from Driving By and the birthday greetings from Biggest Fan in Versamark ink onto Basic Black cardstock. Heat set with White Emboss Powder.
  11. Cut words apart. Mount each word to card front using Stampin’ Dimensional. See card for suggested placement.
  12. Adhere Iridescent Rhinestones around “van” images.

NEW AT SU: You Make My Heart Happy

Hi stampers! I’m excited to have joined the New at SU Blog Hop where demonstrators from around the world share a project with that month’s theme.  January’s theme is projects made with Sale-A-Bration products!

Dimensions

  • Pool Party: 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″
  • Designer Paper: 4″ x 5 1/4″
  • Magenta Madness: 2″ x 4″
  • Shimmery White Stitched Rectangle Die: 2 1/4″ x 3 1/2″

Directions

  1. Fold the Pool Party cardstock in half and press the seam down with a Bone Folder.
  2. Adhere the designer paper to the card base.
  3. Stamp butterflies randomly on the Magenta Madness cardstock using the matching ink pad, then adhere it to the card.
  4. Stamp the girl image on a piece of Shimmery White cardstock using Memento ink.
  5. Cut out the image using the 2 1/4″ x 3 1/2″ Scalloped Rectangle Die from the Stitched So Sweetly Dies.
  6. Use the Light Pool Party Stampin’ Blend to colour around the image.
  7. Use the Dark Pool Party Stampin’ Blend to add colour to the lines on the net.
  8. Colour the dress with the Light and Dark Magenta Madness Stampin’ Blend.
  9. Add Wink of Stella on top of the coloured dress.
  10. Colour the face with Light Petal Pink Stampin’ Blend, then use the Dark Petal Pink Stampin’ Blend to colour circles on the cheeks.
  11. Colour the hair with Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends.
  12. Colour the net with Dark Pool Party Stampin’ Blend.
  13. Add the layer to the card using Dimensionals.
  14. Stamp the butterfly on a piece of Shimmery White cardstock. Colour it with the Dark Pool Party Stampin’ Blend and the Dark Magenta Madness Stampin’ Blend. Cut it out with Paper Snips, then add it to the card using a Dimensional.
  15. Add gems.
  16. Stamp the greeting on a piece of Shimmery White cardstock using Magenta Madness ink then cut it out using Paper Snips. Add adhesive to the left-side of the greeting and cut up Dimensionals on the right-side of the greeting and add it to the card.

Sending You A Rainbow

Measurements: 

  • Misty Moonlight:  7-1/4” x 5-1/2”, scored at 4-1/4”  and  4-1/2” x 3-1/8”, score at 1/4” on the right side
  • Sunshine & Rainbows:  2-3/4” x 5-1/4” (front of card)  and  1-1/8” x 5-1/4” (inside of card)
  • Basic White:  2-3/4” x 5-1/4” (inside of card)  and  3-3/4” x 2-3/4” (for stitched die cut rectangle)
  • Magenta Madness:  4-1/4” x 3-1/8” (for stitched die cut rectangle)
  • Scrap of Basic White Cardstock for die cut clouds

Instructions:

  1. Fold the Misty Moonlight card base so that the smaller flap is on the front of the card.
  2. Adhere the larger piece of Designer Series Paper to the front flap of the card base.
  3. Adhere the Misty Moonlight Cardstock to the right side of the card base by only adding adhesive to the 1/4” flap, then adhere the smaller piece of DSP over the top. (use photos for reference)
  4. Adhere the Basic White Cardstock to the inside of the card on the left side as shown leaving about a 1/8” space between the Basic White Cardstock and the DSP layer.
  5. Die cut the largest scalloped rectangle from the Magenta Madness Cardstock using the Stitched So Sweetly Dies. Adhere to the Misty Moonlight Cardstock on the front of the card.
  6. Die cut the second largest scalloped rectangle from the piece of Basic White Cardstock. Stamp the largest arch of the rainbow in Misty Moonlight ink, the sentiment in Bermuda Bay ink, the striped arch in Daffodil Delight and the smallest arch of the rainbow in Magenta Madness ink.
  7. Adhere the stamped Basic White scalloped rectangle to the Magenta Madness scalloped rectangle.
  8. Die cut four clouds (two small, two medium) from a scrap of Basic White Cardstock. Adhere to the card with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals and accent with Wink of Stella Glitter Brush.
  9. Add three Iridescent Rhinestones (two small, one medium) to the card front as shown.

Relax

Today, I have 2 cards to share. I love the images in the “In the Moment” stamp set and coloured each image with the same colours but wanted to create completely different cards. The “New Horizons” designer paper is so beautiful and I love how you can combine it with so many different products to create pretty creations.

CARD 1

Dimensions

  • Calypso Coral: 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″  and  2 3/4″ x  4 1/8″
  • Daffodil Delight: 4″ x 5 1/4″
  • Designer Paper: 2 1/2″ x 5 1/4″
  • Shimmery White: 2 3/4″ x  4 1/8″ (die)  and  1 3/8″ x 2″

Directions: 

  1. Stamp the image on a piece of Shimmery White cardstock using Memento black ink. Cut it out using the 2 3/4″ x  4 1/8″ die from the Stitched Rectangle Dies.
  2. Colour the image using Stampin’ Blends.
  3. Cut out a piece of Calypso Coral cardstock using the 2 3/4″ x  4 1/8″ from the Stitched Rectangle Dies.
  4. Adhere Designer Paper to the Daffodil Delight cardstock, add a piece of ribbon on top and adhere the ends to the back. Adhere the layers to the card.
  5. Stamp the greeting on a piece of Shimmery White cardstock using Memento black ink.
  6. Adhere remaining layers to card. Use Dimensionals for the greeting layer.

Directions: 

  1. Stamp the image on a piece of Shimmery White cardstock using Memento black ink. Colour the image using Stampin’ Blends. Cut it out using Paper Snips.
  2. Stamp the birds on the Designer Paper using Memento black ink.
  3. Stamp the trees on a piece of Old Olive cardstock with the matching ink. Cut out using the coordinating die.
  4. Stamp the greeting on a piece of Shimmery White cardstock using Calypso Coral ink. Cut out around the word “Relax” using Paper Snips.
  5. Adhere all layers together. (The girl and the greeting were added to the card using Dimensionals.

Best Birthday

Measurements:

  • Card Base: 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ scored and folded at 4-1/4″
  • Cardstock #2: Basic White 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″
  • Cardstock #3:Brushed Metallic Cardstock (brass) 2-3/4″ x 4″
  • Cardstock #4: Basic White 2-3/4″ x 4″ (plus scrap for stamped bird)
  • Designer Paper #1: 4″ x 5-1/2″

Instructions:

  • Emboss cardstock #2 with embossing folder and adhere to card base.
  • Die cut the Designer Series Paper with largest scalloped die and adhere to embossed background.
  • Die cut cardstock #4 with third smallest scalloped die (the stitched one). Stamp spatters and greeting.
  • Adhere to brushed metallic cardstock #3 and then attach to card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Adhere approximately 7″ of Petal Pink cotton ribbon in a zigzag where bird will be attached.
  • Stamp the bird on branch and color. Cut out and adhere with dimensionals.
  • Add butterflies and rhinestones.
