Stampers Dozen Blog Hop: Sketch Challenge

Hello!  

Welcome back to the Stampers Dozen Blog Hop! This time around we are trying something a little different- our theme this month is a 'Sketch Challenge'! We are all following the same sketch for our cards. I can't wait to see all the different ways we interpret the sketch!

Here is the sketch we were to use:

And here is my interpretation of the sketch:Grateful Bunch, Timeless Textures, Botanical Garden Jewels, Blossom Bunch Punch, Banner Triple Punch, Baker's Twine Combo Pack, Wink of Stella, Stampin Up, hand stamped, hand made card, thank you card

How to Make It: 

  • First, I cut and punched the Mint Macaron strip with the Banner Triple Punch.
  • Then I stamped it with the leaf outline punch from Grateful Bunch. (2016 Occasions Catalogue) 
  • Before adhering it to the Whisper White Thick card base, I tied both colors of Baker's Twine from the NEW Baker's Twine Combo Pack– which includes twin in Melon Mambo and Mint Macaron.

  • Then, I cut a square of Whisper White and stamped it with the Grateful Bunch flowers and added some texture using the Timeless Textures stamp set.
  • The sentiment was stamped in black. 
  • This layer was matted with a layer of Melon Mambo which I edged with the Clear Wink of Stella to add a little sparkly edge to it. 
  • Then I stamped the smaller flower stamp in Melon Mambo and punched the flowers using the matching Blossom Bunch Punch. Those punched flowers were added on to the stamped layer using Stampin' Dimensionals. 
  • Some of the stamped flowers in the background were given a little Clear Wink of Stella treatment- my new favorite! 
  • I added a bit of bling to the larger flower using a Botanical Garden Jewel Embellishment. So pretty!

Party Wishes Birthday Card

Hello! Happy Friday!

As we head into the weekend, I've got a no layer card to end our week of class cards. This card features the Party Wishes Stamp Set and the Confetti Textured Impressions Embossing Folder!

Party Wishes, Confetti TIEF, Baker's Twine, Pearls, Party Punch Pack, Wink of Stella, Stampin Up, hand stamped, hand made card, no layer card, simple card, quick & easy card

How to Make It:

  1. Use the Big Shot to run the Thick Whisper White card base through with the Confetti Embossing folder , try to keep the oval centered
  2. Stamp the cake base in Basic Gray
  3. Stamp the cake in Watermelon Wonder
  4. Use Bermuda Bay and Pumpkin Pie markers to color the candles on the stamp, then stamp on the cake
  5. Stamp the confetti and the sentiment over top the stamped cake- use Bermuda Bay and Watermelon Wonder markers to ink up the stamp
  6. Stamp the larger candle using Bermuda Bay and Pumpkin Pie markers, on a scrap of Whisper White and punch out using the candle punch in the Party Punch Pack
  7. Adhere the candle punch out in the middle of the smaller stamped candles using 2 Way Glue Pen
  8. Add some shine to the cake stand and candle flames with the Wink of Stella pen
  9. Add a strip of Pearls Basics to the bottom of the cake
  10. Wrap Bermuda Bay Baker’s Twine around the card front and tie a bow

Today's card features Botanicals For You– another Sale-A-Bration freebie!

How to Make It:

  1. Stamp the flowers onto the Whisper White layer to create a background
  2. Punch the corners using the Curvy Corner Trio Punch
  3. Stamp the large ‘Just For You’ in Versamark and then add Silver Stampin’ Emboss powder; heat set
  4. Stamp the smaller sentiment in Black on the bottom and adhere to card front
  5. Tie a small knot in the Blushing Bride sequin trim and adhere to card front using a Glue Dot

Flowering Fields Thank You

Today's card features THREE Sale-A-Bration freebies! Flowering Fields Stamp set, Perfect Pairings stamp set AND Wildflower Fields Designer Series Paper!! 

Flowering Fields stamp set, Wildflower Fields Designer Series Paper, Curvy Corner Trio Punch, Silver Metallic Thread, color therapy, hand stamped, hand made card, thank you card, Stampin Up

How to Make It:

  1. Lay each Flowering Fields stamp on a large clear block to stamp them all at once
  2. Colour in each flower using Stampin’ Write markers
  3. Use the ribbon slit punch of the Curvy Corner Trio punch to cut two slits on each end of the Hello Honey layer;  wrap the Silver Metallic Thread around the piece allowing the thread to sit in the notches
  4. Adhere the Designer Series Paper pieces onto the card front, then add the stamped layer, trimming off the excess that goes off the cardbase
  5. Stamp the sentiment near the bottom edge of a Hello Honey strip of cardstock and use the circle punch to punch half a circle; Add some final touches of Wink of Stella around the edges of the circle and adhere to the front of the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals
  6. Add some Wink of Stella to some of the stamped flowers
