Playing with Brusho Crystals is super fun! If you haven’t tried it yet…it’s perfect for the Emboss Resist Technique!

Measurements:

  • Whisper White cardstock – 5-1/2” x 8-1/2”, 3/4” x 4”
  • Shimmer White cardstock – 3-3/4” x 5”

Instructions:

  1. Brush off top of Shimmer White cardstock with the Embossing Buddy.
  2. Stamp the Butterfly using the VersaMark pad.
  3. Sprinkle stamped butterfly with White embossing powder and heat using the Heat Tool.
  4. Using the Aqua Painter brush water over top of Shimmer White cardstock.
  5. Sprinkle Blue Brusho crystals very lightly. Brush lightly with the Aqua Painter (adding water only if necessary) to create the desired brushed effect.
  6. Sprinkle Yellow Brusho crystals towards the top of the butterfly and randomly over the blue. Brush with Aqua Painter (adding water if necessary) to create the desired brushed effect.  Let dry completely.
  7. Stamp the sentiment on the Whisper White strip. Cut the end using Paper Snips.
  8. Adhere dryed Shimmer cardstock to the Whisper White card using Stampin Dimensionals.
  9. Adhere the sentiment using Stampin Dimensionals.
  10. Wrap the Black twine around 3 times and tie into bow near sentiment.

Animal Outing- cute Kangaroo

Happy Monday! Have you had a chance to look at the new 2018-19 catalogue yet? This adorable stamp set is a new one and is part of the Animal Expedition Suite. Not only does this set have the kangaroo; it also has a giraffe and rhino too! 🙂 

Measurements:

  • Soft Suede cardstock 5  x 4.25
  • Whisper White cardstock (2) 4    x 5.25
  • Share what you love designer paper 75 x 5
  • Scrap soft suite to layer under largest oval
  • Scrap basic black to layer under second to largest oval
  • Scrap of old olive to punch leaves from
  • 1 sheet of Water color paper for image and greeting

Instructions:

  1. Score and fold the ½ sheet of Soft Suede cardstock
  2. Adhere the 4 x 5.25 piece of whisper white to front
  3. Adhere the piece of Share what you love designer paper
  4. Set card base aside
  5. Stamp image and greeting on the sheet of water color paper leaving space to die with layering ovals
  6. Color Kangaroo with light and dark Crumbcake Stampin’ Blends
  7. Die cut greeting and Kangaroo with layering ovals
  8. Die cut soft suede cardstock with largest scalloped edge layering oval to place behind Kangaroo image
  9. Die cut basic black cardstock with second largest scalloped edge layering oval to place behind greeting
  10. Adhere ovals together as seen in photo
  11. Punch two to three leaves.
  12. Assemble elements as seen
  13. Add whisper white 4 x 4.25 piece to inside of card
  14. Add sentiment of choice
  15. Sign and mail or hand deliver to brighten someone’s day.

  • Ink: Soft Suede (147115), Mint Macaron (147106), Tranquil Tide (147146)
  • Miscellaneous: Layering Circles Framelits (141705), Crumb Cake 3/8” Classic Weave Ribbon (144162), Nature’s Twine (146342), Leaves Trinkets (146343), Faceted Dots (146910), SNAIL Adhesive (104332), Stampin’ Dimensionals (104430), Mini Glue Dots (103683), household tape

Measurements:

  • Tranquil Tide card base: 4-1/4” x 11”, scored at 5-1/2” then folded
  • Soft Suede: 4” x 5-1/4”, 3” x 3”, 2-3/4” x 2-3/4”
  • Designer Series Paper: 3-3/4” x 5”
  • Whisper White: 3-1/2” x 3-1/2”
  • Ribbon: 7”
  • Mint Macaron and Crumb Cake twine: each 7-1/2” and 3”

Instructions:

  1. Choose DSP sheet with Tranquil Tide background with stripes on reverse. Cut vertically 1-1/4” making sure stripes are vertical. Using SNAIL adhere the two pieces of DSP to the Soft Suede piece so they are touching.
  2. Run SNAIL along DSP seam and adhere Crumb Cake ribbon. Attach to back of cardstock with SNAIL.
  3. Lay Crumb Cake and Mint Macaron twine over ribbon and attach to back of Soft Suede piece with household tape. Tie one short strand of each twine onto lower portion of long twine. Set aside.
  4. Stamp off twice then stamp assortment of leaves with Mint Macaron, Tranquil Tide and Soft Suede onto Whisper White cardstock taking care to cover area at least 2-3/4” for later die-cutting.
  5. Using full strength Tranquil Tide, stamp sentiment on top of the background you just stamped. Cut out with 2-3/8” circle from the Layering Circle Framelits.
  6. Using the 2-1/2” scalloped circle and 2-3/4” circle dies, cut out two Crumb Cake circles.
  7. Adhere sentiment piece to scalloped circle with SNAIL. Adhere that piece to lower circle with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  8. Adhere sentiment piece to front of card with Stampin’ Dimensionals taking care to straddle the twine (and not adhere on top of it).
  9. Adhere Soft Suede piece to card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  10. Affix Mini Glue Dots to a copper leaf trio trinket. Slip stem into one twine knot then press down to adhere Mini Glue Dots to twine or card front.
  11. Place three Mint Macaron Faceted Dots onto upper left of card front.

  • Misc. – Garden Impressions Designer Series Paper (DSP) (146289); Blueberry Bushel 1-8” Grosgrain Ribbon (146950)

Measurements:

  • Blueberry Bushel Card Stock: 5-1/2” x 8-1/2”; and 4-7/8” x 3-3/8”
  • Whisper White Card Stock: 4-3/4” x 3-1/4”; and 5-1/4” x 4”
  • Designer Series Paper: 5-3/8” x 4-1/8”

Instructions:

  1. Score the large piece of Blueberry Bushel Card Stock in half at 4-1/4”, then fold and burnish with a Bone Folder.
  2. Stamp the flowers in Call Me Clover ink onto the smaller piece of Whisper White Card Stock.
  3. Stamp the sentiment and butterfly in Blueberry Bushel ink onto the same piece of Whisper White card stock.
  4. Stamp the small flowers in Blueberry Bushel ink onto the bottom left corner of the larger piece of Whisper White Card Stock.
  5. Glue the larger piece of Whisper White Card Stock to the inside of the card base.
  6. Glue the smaller piece of Whisper White Card Stock to the smaller piece of Blueberry Bushel Card Stock.
  7. Wrap a piece of Blueberry Bushel ribbon around the stamped layer and secure on the back using Tear & Tape adhesive.
  8. Tie a small piece of the same ribbon around the longer piece. This is the easiest way to tie a knot or a bow onto a card like this, instead of trying to wrap/tie the same piece of ribbon.
  9. Glue these layers onto the center of the piece of DSP.
  10. Glue the DSP onto the front of the card base.
