Can I be honest?

Some of you may already know this, but, I lost my full-time job this week. This has been a tough week for me and I retreated from online activities so this is why it’s been a ghost town around here. I want to apologize! I’m sorry I disappeared and that my STAMPING 411 video isn’t on here yet. I was going to try to do my video today and post it, but, I just couldn’t put it together. I have the project made and I hope you bear with me…I promise to share the video this weekend for you!

Mrs. Claus Christmas card

Mrs. Claus in this card come from the Santa’s Workshop Suite on page 19 of the Holiday Catalogue. The fun part about this suite is that the framelits are made to work with the designer paper…so you can cut out images to add to your card!

Measurements:

  • Card Stock 1: Coastal Cabana 5 ½ x 8 ½
  • Card Stock 2: Bermuda Bay scraps
  • Card Stock 3: Whisper White scraps
  • Card Stock 4: Smoky Slate scraps

Instructions:

  1. Cut 2 5/8” Circle from Coastal Cabana Card Base using Big Shot.  Set center aside.
  2. Cut another 2 5/8” Circle from Bermuda Bay Card stock. Center the 3” Scallop and cut out the frame.
  3. Cut 2 1/4″ Whisper White Scallop, Pop up with Dimensionals.
  4. Cut 1 7/8” Stitched Circle. Layer on Whisper White.
  5. Cut Mrs. Claus from the DSP. Pop up with Dimensionals.  Layer on Smoky Slate.
  6. Stamp phrase and Cut banner from Whisper White and then Cut banner again using Bermuda Bay Card Stock. This will give you your frame.  Pop up with Dimensionals together.
  7. Emboss card base with Swirls embossing folder. Adhere layers as pictured.

Merry Christmas with Timeless Tidings

From Halloween yesterdary, to Christmas today! What I love about this card is how all the different types of papers make it look so pretty!

Measurements:

  • Whisper White Card Stock: 4” x 11”; 1” x 4-1/2” for banner
  • Galvanized Metallic Paper: 1” x 4”
  • Frosted Floral Specialty Designer Series Paper:
    • Two pieces (Merry Merlot stripe): ½” x 4”
    • Floral print: 3” x 4”
    • Mint print: 1” x 4”

Instructions:

  1. Score Thick Whisper White Card Stock at 5-1/2””, fold in half for card base
  2. Use the Big Shot with the Subtle Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder to emboss Galvanized Metallic Paper strip
  3. Adhere next to fold at top of card base
  4. Adhere mint Frosted Floral Specialty Designer Series Paper to bottom of card front
  5. Adhere ½” strips of Frosted Floral Specialty Designer Series Paper along back top and bottom
  6. edges of 3” x 4” floral print
  7. Punch one end of Whisper White cardstock 1” strip with Banner Triple Punch.
  8. With banner end on the right, stamp sentiment with Merry Merlot Ink
  9. Adhere banner to card front with Dimensionals
  10. Wrap ribbon around card front and tie in bow. (I leave ribbon attached to spool and trim after  tying to save ribbon)

Happy Halloween

If you love Halloween stamping, you will want the Cauldron Bubble stamp set as it is super duper cute!

Measurements:

  • Whisper White (Thick): 5 ½” x 8 ½”
  • Basic Black: 3 ¾” x 5 ¼”
  • Whisper White:  3” x 3” (for die-cut)
  • DSP:  1” x 4 ½”; 1” x 4”; 1” x 3 ½”; scrap with witch hat

Instructions:

  1. Score Whisper White at 4 ¼”; fold in half to create card base.
  2. Adhere Basic Black to card front with SNAIL Adhesive.
  3. Punch bottom of each DSP strip with Tailored Tag Punch to create banners. Adhere to card front as shown with SNAIL Adhesive.
  4. Die-cut stitched circle from Whisper White. Stamp sentiment.
  5. Die-cut witch hat from DSP. Adhere to die-cut circle with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  6. Loop 12” piece of ribbon and adhere to back of die-cut circle with SNAIL Adhesive. Adhere to card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
