Fluttering Butterfly

Here’s another fun project with the Butterfly Gala stamp set.

MEASUREMENTS:

Petal Pink (base): 4 ¼” x 11, score at 5 ½”
Calypso Coral (layer): 4” x 5”
Whisper White: 3 ¾” x 4 ¾”
Whisper White: scrap

Instructions:

Stamp the large butterfly stamp on the Whisper White layer with Memento ink.
Stamp the body and antennas of the butterfly.
Stamp small butterfly on to Whisper White scrap cardstock and punch out using matching punch. Stamp the body of the butterfly.
Color both butterflies using the Light Stampin’ Blends: Petal Pink & Calypso Coral.
Stamp the greeting with Memento ink.
Use the Basic Black Stampin’ Write Marker to add the dotted line from the butterfly to the greeting.
Use SNAIL to adhere Whisper White layer to Calypso Coral layer. Add both layers to card using Dimensionals.
Use Wink of Stella to add glimmer to butterflies.
Add mini dimensionals to back of small butterfly and place on top of large butterfly.
Add 2 Rhinestones Jewels.

Free Designer Paper…oh yahhhh!

If you haven’t figured it out yet, I am in love with all the beautiful butterfly themed products in the Occasions Catalogue and in the Sale-A-Bration Brochure! I made this super simple card the other day using part of the FREE BOTANICAL BUTTERFLY DESIGNER SERIES PAPER (DSP) that you can get with a $60 purchase!

This DSP is probably my favourite paper in the nearly 17 years I’ve been with Stampin’ Up! It is so versatile and beautiful!

Measurements

Balmy Blue: 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″
Basic Black: 2 1/4″ x 5 1/2
Designer Series Paper: 2″ x 5 1/2″

Tips

Stamp greeting on to scrap Whisper White cardstock, then punch out using 1 3/4″ punch.
Stamp outline butterflies on to Whisper White cardstock in Basic Black ink, then use bold butterfly stamps to stamp inside with Balmy Blue and Highland Heather.
Punch out butterflies, then stamp body of butterflies using Memento ink.
Use Wink of Stella to add glimmer to butterflies.
Use Dimensionals to adhere circle and butterflies.

Butterfly Gala with Watercolor Pencils

I know I’m using this stamp set as part of my Stamping 411 videos this month….but, I am soooo in love with this set, that I have more cards with it to share!!! 😉
There are so many ways to colour and the BUTTERFLY GALA stamp set is the perfect one to play around with all kinds of colouring techniques. For this card, I used the Watercolor Pencils which are great to use with Aqua Painters, Blender Pens, or alone!

Measurements

Bermuda Bay: 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″

So Happy Valentine’s Card

Stampin’ Up! has challenged us demonstrators to come up with some #simplestamping cards, and this month, we are challenged to come up with Valentine’s Day cards.The best part of these simple cards is that they only use SIP: Stamps-Ink-Paper! For the card, we use 3 1/2″ x 5″ notecards and envelopes!

INSTRUCTIONS:

Stamp the greeting with Black Memento ink. (Tip: Make sure your ink pad is well inked) I found that because this stamp is larger, it helped to use the Stamparatus to stamp it on the card. I had to re-ink the image a couple of times and re-stamp to ensure that the whole image showed up properly. Check out the VIDEO below to see how to use the Stamparatus! Stamp the image stamp on bottom of card using Memento ink.
To watercolour, I used ink pads with an Aqua Painter.
