Last-Chance Products

This card was super fun to make! I love how the colours look so “springy!” Some of these products are on the retiring list, if you love them, make sure you get them before they are gone for good!

Measurements:  

  • Basic Black (base): 4 ¼” x 11, scored at 5 ½” and folded
  • Whisper White (layer): 3 ¾” x 5”

Instructions:

  1. Adhere the Whisper White layer to Basic Black card.
  2. Cut the Twine approx. 15 inches, tie around the card and finish with a bow.
  3. Use the medium-sized swirl from the Swirly Scribbles Thinlits to cut out Melon Mambo & Bermuda Bay cardstock with Big Shot.
  4. Use Big Shot with smallest swirl thinlit to cut out the shape with Pineapple Punch cardstock.
  5. Stamp large circle swirl stamp on each coloured cardstock (Melon Mambo, Bermuda Bay & Pineapple Punch) in its matching colour.
  6. Cut out the Bermuda Bay and Melon Mambo images with paper snips leaving a little border.
  7. Place Pineapple Punch cut out over the stamped image and cut the stamped image so it fits underneath.
  8. Add small amounts of liquid glue to the back of swirl shapes and adhere to the front of stamped images. Use SNAIL to add to card.
  9. Cut out leaves using Thinlits and adhere to card tucking them slightly under flowers.
  10. Cut out 2 ¼”  stitched oval from the Stitched Shapes Framelits.
  11. Ink the greeting from the All Things Thanks stamp set with Bermuda Bay ink, then stamp on scrap paper once. Ink the bottom part of the greeting again with the Bermuda Bay ink to create an ombre effect, then stamp on oval.
  12. Add dimensionals to the back of greeting and adhere to card.
  13. Add some rhinestones to card.

From Stampin’ UP!

Effective immediately, stamp sets offered in clear-mount or wood-mount in the 2018–2019 annual catalogue that are carrying over into the 2019–2020 annual catalogue will be offered in clear-mount and/or wood-mount until existing inventory has been depleted or until June 4, 2019 (whichever comes first). If our inventory is depleted, you will be notified of the automatic switch to cling when placing an order for that stamp set. This means that you may end up purchasing select cling stamp sets (in carryover artwork) before they can be ordered from the catalogue! All carryover rubber stamp sets will be available in cling medium only (with the exception of background stamps in North America) beginning June 4, 2019.

Have you heard the big news??

Yesterday, Stampin’ Up! made a big announcement and I wanted to share it with you!

1. We will no longer be carrying the Big Shot and we will be replacing it with a new Die Cutting system from Stampin’ Up!

2. We will also be discontinuing our current paper Trimmer and bring out a brand new Paper Cutter from Stampin’ Up!

Here are more details:

– Stampin’ Up! will now be working directly with the manufacturer instead of working with a supplier who works with the manufacturer. This will better allow better direct control over new dies and folders and to use ideas gathered from customers and demonstrators!
– There will be a period of time between when the Big Shot and the Stampin’ Trimmer retire and when the new products start selling. We will not have the Big Shot or the Trimmer in the 2019-2020 catalogue
– An exact date for the new products has not yet been released
– If you need more Trimmer Cutting Blades (#126995) for your Stampin’ Trimmer, you can still order them now, but they will only be available while supplies last!
– You will still be able to use the new-style dies and embossing folders with your current Big Shot or any die-cutting & embossing machine. You’ll just use the “sandwich” recommended by the
machine’s manufacturer. (Because of variances in machines, you might need to use a shim.)
– What is a shim? It’s a thin piece of material that is added to the “sandwich” to increase its thickness.
– New styles of dies and embossing folders will be in the new 2019-2020 catalogue!!!
