Celebrate Sunflowers in Blue

I’m obsessed with the new Celebrate Sunflowers stamp set and dies! I’ve seen so many beautiful cards already created with this stamp set and it is so versatile.

Directions: 

  1. Use the Subtle Dynamic Embossing Folder with a die-cut machine to add texture to the Whisper White cardstock. Adhere to card.
  2. Stamp the small sunflower randomly on the Balmy Blue cardstock using the matching ink pad. Adhere to the Night of Navy layer, then to the card.
  3. Stamp the large sunflower on Shimmery White cardstock using the Night of Navy ink pad.
  4. Colour petals using the Light Balmy Blue Stampin’ Blend.
  5. Use the Dark Balmy Blue Stampin’ Blend to add more detail to each petal.
  6. Colour the inside of the flower with the light and dark Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends. Cut out the flower using the coordinating die.
  7. Stamp the flower on to scrap Daffodil Delight cardstock using Night of Navy ink, then cut out using the circle cut out die. Scrunch the circle to add texture, the add to the flower using a dimensional.
  8. Use the leaf die to cut out 3 Whisper White leaves. Adhere leaves on to the Balmy Blue layer.
  9. Use Wink of Stella to add shimmer to the flower.
  10. Add the flower to the card using dimensional.
  11. Stamp the greeting on to scrap Whisper White cardstock, then cut out using Paper Snips. Add to the card using dimensional.

Supplies:

  • Stamp Sets – Tasteful Touches (152562)
  • Card Stock – Whisper White (100730); Forever Greenery Designer Series Paper DSP(152492)
  • Stamp Pads – Pretty Peacock (150083)
  • Misc. – Tasteful Labels Dies (152886); Holiday Rhinestones (150457); Ornate Garden Ribbon Combo Pack (152479); Stampin’ Dimensionals (104430); Snail Adhesive (104332); Mini Glue Dots (103683)

Measurements:

  • Whisper White: 5 ½” x 8 ½” scored at 4 ¼”; 3 ½” x 4 ¼”; 2 ¼” x 2 ½”
  • DSP: 3 pieces @ 1” x 4”

Instructions:

  1. Stamp the greeting “Just saying hello” in Pretty Peacock on the 2 ¼” x 2 ½” piece of white.
  2. Die-Cut with the Tasteful Label Die.
  3. Adhere the three 1” panels of DSP to the white piece that is 3 ½” x 4”. TIP: Adhere the two outside panels first, then the center panel.
  4. Place 6 Dimensionals on the back of the piece with the DSP, layer it on to the folded card base.
  5. Place 2 Dimensionals on the back of the die-cut layer piece.
  6. Adhere the die-cut layer piece to the center of the DSP layer.
  7. Place some of the Shaded Spruce small rhinestones from the Holiday Rhinestones to the greeting.
  8. Tie a bow in the Old Olive ribbon and adhere it to the card with a Mini Glue Dot.

  • Magenta Madness card base: 5-1/2” x 8-1/2”, score at 4-1/4”; scrap for flowers
  • Whisper White: 5-1/4” x 4”; scrap for flowers
  • Designer Series Paper (DSP): 5” x 3-3/4”
  • Basis Black: scrap for flowers
  • Trim: 6”

Instructions:

  1. Fold Magenta Madness card in half.
  2. Adhere DSP to Whisper White cardstock.
  3. Wrap Ribbon around DSP and Whisper White card.
  4. Adhere to Magenta Madness card.
  5. Stamp sentiment on scrap Whisper White, punch out using Timeless Label Punch.
  6. Stamp some flowers using Whisper White, Basic Black, MagentaMadnesss.
  7. Adhere Sentiment using Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  8. Adhere flowers using Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  9. Adhere the Rhinestone Basic Jewels to the center of the flowers.

Ornate Garden Designer Paper

The Ornate Garden Designer Paper has so many pretty patterns. The colours for the paper coordinate with our NEW In Colors from the 2020-21 Catalogue, but, since I don’t have my order yet, I found existing colours that I think go very well. For the greetings on the 3 cards, I used the Seriously The Best Stamp Set which will be retiring soon! I love the greeting in the stamp set!

Measurements for each card: 
Designer Paper – 3″ x 4 1/4″
Cardstock mat – 3 1/4″ x 4 1/2″

For the first card, I used Old Olive and used the Subtle 3D Embossing Folder to add some texture to the Very Vanilla Cardstock. I used the Stitched Rectangle Dies to cut out the greeting.

Flirty Flamingo was used on this card and the greeting was cut out with the Stitched Shapes Dies.

This card has Mango Melody cardstock and the greeting was cut out using the Stitched Shapes Dies. I’ve realized how very little I have used this colour and it really is quite pretty!
