Dogs vs. Cats

I had a lot of fun playing with the Playful Pets Suite again! For this one, I decided to use my Stampin’ Blends to colour the stamped images. I can’t decide if I like the dog or the cat one? What do you think??

For each of these cards, I stamped the animal (and the food bowl) first and then used a fine tip black marker to create the line. I then used the Smoky Slate Stampin’ Blends to create the “floor”. I coloured the images next and added a bit of Wink of Stella to the bowl and to the middle of the hearts.

I adhered the ends of the Black Glittered Organdy Ribbon to the back of the Designer Paper and then took a smaller piece of ribbon to tie a knot. I stamped the greeting on Real Red cardstock and then punched it out using the Classic Label Punch. I then cut the end of it and used dimensionals to add it to the card.

Sorry for your loss

Ok! I don’t have any pets, but the Playful Pets product suite is ADORABLE! ??

For this card, I focused on the realistic cartoon looking images on the Designer Series Paper. The dog image I used has a matching die so it made it really easy to make it look great.

Directions:

  1. Adhere the 2 1/4″ x 5 1/4″ designer paper to the card.
  2. Use the “paw” die to die-cut the 3/4″ x 5 1/4″ black cardstock strip. (I used the die 4 times). Adhere to the card.
  3. Cut out the red 1 7/8″ stitched circle die using the Stitched Shapes dies. Adhere to the card.
  4. Cut out the dog from the designer paper using the coordinating die. Adhere on top of circle using dimensional.
  5. Stamp greeting on Whisper White strip using Smoky Slate ink, then cut ends using Paper Snips. Tuck under the red circle and add a dimensional under the middle and end.
  6. Use one of the leftover hearts from the die-cut paws, add rolled up glue dots to the back. Add it to the collar, then add some glue from the Fine-Tip Glue Pen to the heart and let dry to make it shiny!

A little birdie says hello

This card using the Birds & Branches stamp set by Stampin’ Up! was fairly quick and easy to do. It just took a little stamping, a little die-cutting and then put it all together! I love those kind of cards where they easy to make but turn out really pretty.

Dimensions: 

Blushing Bride: 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″
Whisper White: 3 3/4″ x 5″
Crumb Cake: 3 1/4″ x 3 3/4″

Directions:

  1. Use the Subtle 3D Embossing Folder to add texture to the Crumb Cake layer.
  2. Take a Sponge Dauber with the Crumb Cake Ink Pad and swipe across the textured Crumb Cake. Adhere layer to the card.
  3. Stamp the bird background with Balmy Blue ink and the detailed bird with the Pacific Point ink.
  4. Stamp 3 flowers using Flirty Flamingo ink.
  5. Stamp bird’s nest using Crumb Cake ink.
  6. Stamp eggs using Blushing Bride ink.
  7. Use coordinating dies to cut out all the stamped images.
  8. Cut out the middle of the Whisper White cardstock using the die from the Birds & Branches Bundle.
  9. Adhere cut out shapes to the Whisper White layer.
  10. Attach Whisper White layer to the card using dimensionals.
  11. Stamp greeting on to a scrap piece of Balmy Blue cardstock using Pacific Point ink. Cut out using the Classic Label Punch. Use scissors or a paper trimmer to cut off the left side of punched shape. Adhere to the Whisper White layer.
  12. Add Rhinestone Basic Jewels.

Wishing You Happiness

The colours on this card are a little bit like fall, but, I still really like it!

Directions:

    1. Use a die-cut machine with the Subtle Embossing Folder to add texture to the Daffodil Delight cardstock. Adhere to card using Tear & Tape Adhesive.
    2. Cut out a 3″ x 4 1/4″ layer using the Stitched Rectangle Dies using Whisper White cardstock. Adhere to the card.
    3. Stamp flowers on Whisper White cardstock and the jar on Soft Suede cardstock using the Soft Suede ink pad.
    4. Cut out flowers using the coordinating die and the jar using the punch.
    5. Stamp greeting on to a 1″ x 2″ piece of Pumpkin Pie cardstock using the coordinating ink pad.
    6. Colour flowers using Stampin’ Blends.
    7. Wrap a piece of ribbon around the jar and tie in a bow. Adhere the jar to the card using Tear & Tape Adhesive.
    8. Add dimensionals to the back of the flowers and the greeting and add to the card.

Congrats Mason Jar

I’m absolutely in love with this stamp set and card, I hope you do too! It’s using the new Jar of Flowers Bundle which includes the stamp set and the coordinating punch.

Dimensions: 

Real Red: 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″
Pool Party: 4″ x 5 1/4″
Flirty Flamingo: 3″ x 5 1/4″
Whisper White: 2″ x 5 1/4″

Directions: 

1. Take a piece of ribbon or baker’s twine and adhere to the back of the jar. 2. I used Tear & Tape as it is very sticky.
3. Lightly place the jar and flowers on to the Whisper White cardstock to position and use a pencil to make a mark on all the sides of the jar to help with placement of the punch. 4. Use the markings to line up the punch.
5. Adhere punched out mason jar to the Flirty Flamingo layer and add Gems on top. Remove the adhesive cover on the back & front of the Shaker Dome and place it through the punched out jar shape. 6. Pull apart the top of the Shaker Dome a bit so that you can bring the ribbon through.
7. Adhere flowers to the top of the jar. 8. Tie a bow around the shaker dome with the baker’s twine.
9. Add dimensional to the back of the cut out flowers and add to the card. 10. Add Wink of Stella to the popped up flowers.
