Good Morning!

Welcome to this month's 'Beautiful Bold Brights' Blog Hop! This month's Blog Hop kind of left the door open wide for interpretation 🙂 Our theme was to use the colours from the Bold Brights Color Collection- talk about being able to go anywhere from there! 

Here is where I ended up 🙂 

I started with the base layer of Tempting Turquoise, then added the next layer of Old Olive. On top of that I used Whisper White and stamped that using the Flowering Flourishes stamp set to create a bit of a background. I used Stampin' Write markers to ink up each stamp with the different colors: Old Olive, Rich Razzleberry, Daffodil Delight and Tempting Turquoise. Then I used the sentiment from You've Got This to fill in the bottom.

I added Rhinestones to some of the flowers and finished it off with some Whisper White Satin Ribbon before adhering it all to the card base.

Hello! Happy Friday!

I am so excited to be hosting my class tonight featuring the NEW Annual Catalogue! I am looking forward to seeing some of my wonderful customers! The best part of this job!

Today I wanted to show you this gorgeous new set called You've Got This (139575)! 

This set is a fun one to color and it's such a pretty flower! As you may notice, there are some new colors used on this card- the all NEW 2015-2017 In Colors! The card base is Mint Macaron with Tip Top Taupe  (embossed with the Woodgrain embossing folder) on top of it. I used Whisper White cardstock for the stamped layer- which I stamped with the Mint Macaron, Tip Top Taupe and Watermelon Wonder. I used the same colors to color in the flower, however I used the markers and alcohol to watercolor. Before stamping the background stamp that comes with the set, I made a mask of the flower with a sticky note and covered the stamped flower on the Whisper White layer before I stamped the background.

I used the NEW Watermelon Wonder Dotted Lace Trim and a Mint Macaron colored In Color Blossom Accent. The sentiment was stamped and punched with the Decorative Label Punch which I then outlined with a Tip Top Taupe marker.

Good Morning!

I am back with another card using a new stamp set- this one is a Host Only Stamp Set you can order when you host a workshop or place an order over $200. 

I just love the new script paper on this card- it is from the NEW Neutrals Designer Series Paper. Other supplies used here are: Basic Gray card base, Whisper White cardstock, Cucumber Crush ink, Deco Label Framelits, Cucumber Crush Dotted Lace Trim and a Cucumber Crush flower from the 2015-2017 In Color Blossom Accents.

The Deco Label frame was cut from the same Neutrals Designer Series paper- the dots are the other side of this script pattern. I stamped the flowers in Cucumber Crush on top of the patterned paper then used glue dots to adhere the frame to the Whisper White layer.

• Other: Tea Lace Paper Doilies (129399), Ovals Collection Framelits (129381), Rhinestone Basic Jewels (119246), Crystal Effects (101055), Mini Glue Dots (103683), Stampin’ Dimensionals (104430), SNAIL (104332) & Whisper White Baker’s Twine (124262) 

 

Measurements:

• Watermelon Wonder card base : 4-1/4” x 11” scored at 5-1/2” and folded
• Cucumber Crush:  5-1/4” x 4”
• Whisper White: about 5-1/2” x 4-1/4”
• Cherry on Top DSP : 5”x 3-3/4”
• Baker’s Twine: about 10”

Instructions:

1. Eyeball or measure out what the finished height of the cake might be (the one in the photo is 4”from the tip of the candles to the bottom of the cake stand) and begin stamping about 1” up from the bottom using the cake stand image. You need to not do it at the very bottom of the card stock since you need room to die cut it out with an oval framelit.  
2. Stamp the cake layers and sentiment then the candles on top. Die cut out with the 2^nd to the largest oval.
3. Cut one doily in half and adhere to back of oval so that doily is peeking out evenly on both sides.
4. Adhere DSP piece flat onto Cucumber Crush card stock with SNAIL.
5. Using Dimensionals, attach DSP piece to card base.
6. Using Dimensionals, attach cake/doily piece to DSP.
7. Tie small ribbon with twine and attach onto cake plate with a glue dot then press rhinestone onto bow.
8. Using Crystal Effects, fill in candle flame. Allow to dry overnight.
