Good Morning! Today's project is a pretty card that features some products from Stampin' Up's 2016-2017 Annual Catalogue: Swirly Bird stamp set and Awsomely Artistic stamp set.

Before I show you today's card though, just a quick note that I am having a stamp class this Friday night! If you are in the Ottawa area, bring a friend and join us! Get the full details and RSVP here.

How To Make This Hand Stamped Card:

This card starts with a cardbase of Pool Party cardstock.

Using Smoky Slate ink, stamp the Hardwood stamp image onto Whisper White cardstock.

Take Basic Black Archival ink, stamp the splatter image from the Swirly Bird stamp set and the sentiment from the Picture Perfect stamp set onto Whisper White cardstock.

With the Daffodil Delight ink, ink up the solid swirl image from the Swirly Bird stamp set, stamp off, then stamp above the lower splatter image.

Stamp the detailed swirl image from the Swirly Bird stamp set over the solid swirl using full strength Daffodil Delight ink.

Layer the stamped Whisper White cardstock onto Basic Black cardstock. Attach these layers onto card front using SNAIL Adhesive (or your favorite adhesive).

With the Swirly Scribbles Thinlits dies, die cut the Flirty Flamingo cardstock and the Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer paper with the swirl die. Attach to the card front using a Fine Tip Glue Pen.

Perfect Mix stamp set: DIY recipe cards

Posted on February 17, 2017February 17, 2017 by Josee

Happy Friday! Today's project is a great project to get you started stamping this weekend. This idea is a great way to get yourself organized, or a wonderful gift idea for someone you want to share your recipes with. These DIY recipe cards feature Stampin' Up's Perfect Mix stamp set and Envelope Punch Board to create them.

Perfect Mix stamp set, Stampin Up, 2017 Occasions Catalogue, recipe cards, diy recipe cards

This stamped project was shared with fellow demonstrators in a project sheet swap I participate in and I am so glad to be able to share the instructions on how to make these DIY recipe cards with you!

How To Make These DIY Recipe Cards:

A note from the creator of this project: The word and image combo stamps in the Perfect Mix stamp set were cut to create separate stamps so the words and images could be stamped separately when needed. If you don’t want to cut your stamps, you can use So Saffron and Wisteria Wonder Stampin' Write Markers to color just the images and stamp them on the cards.

1. With your computer print your recipes 4 to a page onto Whisper White cardstock, make sure to leave space for stamping the images in one corner and space to add a strip of patterned paper along the bottom as shown. Cut the recipe cards out at 5-1/2” x 4-1/4”. This box can fit 18-20 recipe cards.

2. Stamp the baking images from the Perfect Mix stamp set in the top right corners of the recipe cards using So Saffron and Wisteria Wonder ink. Add a strip of Subtles Designer Series Paper Stack to the bottom of each card.

3. Stamp the oven mitt from the Perfect Mix stamp set in So Saffron and “Baking Makes Life Sweeter” in Wisteria Wonder. Cut the stamped images out using the Big Shot and the Stitched Shapes circle Framelit.

To create the DIY recipe box:

1. Create the recipe box by scoring the 9” square Subtles Designer Series Paper Stack in the Envelope Punch Board by punching/scoring at 3-5/8” AND 4-1/2” on the first side, then turning the paper 45 degrees and lining up the first score lines to punch and score. Repeat until all 4 sides have been punched and scored twice. Round the corners of all points on the top of the punch board.

2. Cut off the small squares on the inside corners of your envelope/box and fold in on all the score lines to create a box. Adhere using Fast Fuse, leaving top of box open.

3. Insert the diy recipe cards into the box and fold the top down.

4. Wrap a strip of Wisteria Wonder Subtles Designer Series Paper Stack around the box and adhere to itself in the front to create a belly band that can slide off. Attach the “Baking” stamped and die cut circle to the front using Stampin' Dimensionals to hide the seam.

Measurements

Whisper White Card Stock: 5-1/2” x 4-1/4” (recipe cards) and 3” x 3” So Saffron DSP: 9” x 9” Wisteria Wonder DSP: 12” x 1-1/2” scored at 3”, 3-1/2”, 8-1/4” and 8-3/4” (belly band) DSP strips (bottom of recipe cards: 5 1/2” x 3/4”

Dragonfly Dreams Stamp Set -Watercolor Card

Posted on February 16, 2017February 17, 2017 by Josee

Hello!! Today's stamped card features Stampin' Up's Dragonfly Dreams stamp set to create this pretty watercolored stamped card!

Dragonfly Dreams stamp set, Stampin Up, 2017 Occasions Catalogue, watercolor card

How To Make This Watercolor Stamped card:

This card starts with a base of Bermuda Bay cardstock.

Then on a sheet of Watercolor Paper, stamp the dragonfly from the Dragonfly Dreams stamp set with Basic Black Archival Ink and allow the ink to dry or heat set with the Heat Tool.

Next, the dragonfly was colored in using Stampin' Inks and an Aqua Painter– I used Bermuda Bay, Rich Razzleberry and Daffodil Delight inks.

The Bermuda Bay ink and the Aqua Painter was used to create dots along the top and bottom edge of the card.

Once the Watercolor Paper was dry, a string of Bermuda Bay Thick Baker's Twine was wrapped around it and then the whole thing was adhered to the card base.

On a strip of Whisper White cardstock, the dots from the Dragonfly Dreams stamp set were stamped in Daffodil Delight ink and then the greeting from the Dragonfly Dreams stamp set was stamped in Basic Black ink. The strip was then punched on each end using the Banner Triple Punch.

A strip of Rich Razzleberry cardstock was also punched on each end with the Banner Triple Punch to create a mat.  The sentiment strip was adhered together and then adhered to the card front.

Two Daffodil Delight colored enamel dots from the Subtles Enamel Shapes pack were added as a final touch.
