Designer Tee stamp set, Stampin Up, Father's Day card idea

Custom Tee Father’s Day card

Posted on April 19, 2017April 13, 2017 by Josee

I know that Father's Day isn't until June, but I ended up making this super cute Father's Day card when I sat down to play with the Custom Tee stamp set and coordinating T-Shirt Builder Dies, and since this stamp set and dies are on the Retiring Products List I thought I would show you sooner, rather than later so you can get your crafty hands on these before it's too late because they are both on SALE now!

Designer Tee stamp set, Stampin Up, Father's Day card idea

How To Make This Stamped Father's Day Card:

1. Cut and score the Night of Navy cardstock for the cardbase using the Simply Scored Scoring Tool

2. Cut the Mint Macaron layer to fit the card base

3. With Whisper White Craft Ink, stamp the border on the Mint Macaron layer using the ‘button strip’ stamp from the Custom Tee stamp set; Adhere the layer to the card front with SNAIL Adhesive

4. Stamp the Custom Tee shirts with Night of Navy ink and add t-shirt details as desired using Night of Navy and Mint Macaron ink; die cut with the T-Shirt Builder Dies

5. Stamp and die cut the accessories and details like the bow tie, pocket and shirt collars x2 (as shown above) and add to the die cut shirts to using Mini Glue Dots.

6. Stamp the flowers on the ‘Hawaiin’ shirt with Night of Navy and Mint Macaron ink

7. Color in any details with the Mint Macaron and Night of Navy Stampin’ Write Markers

8. Stamp the greeting on Whisper White with Night of Navy ink and then die cut with the Layering Circles Framelits

9. Die cut a mat layer for the greeting circle out of Night of Navy cardstock; Adhere both layers to the cardfront using SNAIL Adhesive

10. Add the t-shirts to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals

To create an envelope:

Because this card is not the 'standard' card size that Stampin' Up carries envelopes for, you may want to make your own envelope to fit this letter size card. It's so easy to do with the Envelope Punch Board! If you have never used the envelope punch board, check out this video here.

Cut the Designer Series Paper or Envelope Paper from it’s 12×12” size to 9 7/8”x 9 7/8”;

Score and punch according to instructions on the Envelope Punch Board for the 4”x 8.5” envelope

Measurements:

Night of Navy: Cut 8.5×7 ¼”, score 3 10/16 (use the Simply Scored Scoring Tool for easy scoring!), plus scrap piece;

Mint Macaron: 3 3/8”x 8.25”;

Whisper White: scraps for die cutting;

If you wish to make a matching envelope, you will need the Designer Series Paper/Envelope Paper cut to 9 7/8” x 9 7/8”

Stampin' Up Stamps:

Suite Sentiments-142968 wood, 142971 clear mount; Custom Tee- 142916 (Both Retiring Stamp Sets!)

Stampin' Up Paper:

Whisper White-100730, Night of Navy-100867, Mint Macaron-138337

Stampin' Up Ink:

Night of Navy-126970, Mint Macaron-138326 , Whisper White- 101731, Mint Macaron Stampin’ Write Marker- 138333 (Retiring 2015-2017 In Colors), Night of Navy Stampin’ Write Marker- 131262 (Regals Collection)

Cool Treats stamp set: You’re Sweet

Posted on April 18, 2017April 13, 2017 by Josee

I have good news and bad news about today's card- the good news is that the Cool Treats stamp set from Stampin' Up's 2017 Occasions Catalogue will be available in the new Annual Catalogue! Woohoo! The bad news is that the coordinating Tasty Treats Designer Series Paper used on this card will not be! It is on the retiring products list, along with the Tasty Treats Washi Tape, Sprinkles Embellishments and Peekaboo Peach Ombre Stampin Pad.

Cool Treats stamp set, Stampin Up

How To Make This Hand Stamped Card:

This card starts with a base of Pool Party cardstock. Then I added a layer of Tasty Treats Specialty Designer Series Paper.

The greeting 'You're Sweet' was stamped with Tuxedo Black ink on the bottom right of the cardfront.

On a strip of Pool Party cardstock I used the little sprinkle stamp from the Cool Treats stamp set to stamp some Pool Party dots and then adhered the strip to the card front.

With the Big Shot and the Stitched Shape Framelits, I die cut a stitched oval shape out of Whisper White cardstock.

The cone stamp was stamped in Soft Suede ink on the oval and then some of the same dots as above were added with Pool Party.

A scalloped oval from the Layered Oval Framelits was die cut out of Watermelon Wonder cardstock and the two ovals were layered and adhered with Stampin' Dimensionals to the cardfront on top of the Pool Party strip.

I used the Frozen Treats Framelits to cut the ice cream scoops out of Pool Party, Flirty Flamingo, Pear Pizzazz and Watermelon Wonder cardstocks and the 'chocolate sauce' was die cut from Chocolate Chip cardstock. All the ice cream layers were adhered one on top of the other with Mini Glue Dots to create the tall ice cream cone.

Stampin' Up Stamps:

Cool Treats-142982 (Photopolymer) Bundle and SAVE with the matching Frozen Treats Framelits: 145181

Stampin' Up Paper:

Pool Party cardstock-122924 , Watermelon Wonder-138334 , Whisper White- 100730, Pear Pizzazz-131201 , Chocolate Chip-102128 , Tasty Treats Specialty Designer Series Paper-142770

Mother’s Day card

Posted on April 13, 2017April 11, 2017 by Josee

It's hard to believe that Easter is this weekend and then the next big card holiday is Mother's Day! Today's card is Mother's Day card using the May Flowers Framelits from Stampin' Up's 2016-2017 Annual Catalogue. I love the cut out look of the flowers from yesterday's card and thought I would give it a try with the May Flowers Framelits.

The great thing is that even though I used a Mother's Day greeting, you could change up the greeting for any occasion.

How To Make This Mother's Day Card:

This card is not as complicated as it looks 🙂 I started with a base of Melon Mambo cardstock.

Then I used the May Flowers Framelits to cut three of the large detailed flowers out of the card front, holding on to the die cuts. I cleaned the cut out bits out of the flower die cuts with the Die Brush and then put them aside for now.

I cut a piece of Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper to fit behind the card front and adhered it with Tear & Tape Adhesive so that it would not show the adhesive through the cut outs. Then, I took the flower die cuts and used the Fine Tip Glue Pen to adhere the cut out shapes back into the bold cut outs on the card front fitting them in like a puzzle. 🙂

The Mother's Day sentiment from the Oh So Succulent stamp set was stamped with black ink on a piece of Whisper White cardstock and then punched it out with the Classic Label punch. It was then added to the cardfront with Stampin' Dimensionals.

I added one of the gorgeous Falling in Love Embellishments with a Mini Glue Dot. To finish off the card I added some Rhinestones Basics Jewels to the card front for some bling!

Stampin' Up Stamps:

Oh So Succulent-142992 (photopolymer)

Stampin' Up Paper:

Melon Mambo-115320, Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper-135315

Stampin' Up Ink:

Memento Tuxedo Black- 132708, Refill-133456

Other Stamp Supplies and Tools:

May Flowers Framelits-140276, Falling in Love Embellishments-142791, Classic Label Punch-141491, Rhinestone Basic Jewels- 119246, Fine Tip Glue Pen- 138309, Tear & Tape Adhesive- 138995 Mini Glue Dots- 103683, Stampin’ Dimensionals- 104430, Die Brush- 140603

What do you think of today's stamped card? Would you try this for a Mother's Day card?
