The Freezin’ Fun bundle is so great when you want to make some fun and playful cards. The little characters are so adorable and this penguin was perfectly matched with the watercoloured background. Check out the video below to see how to make this background.

Creative Background #1: Thinking of You Trees

I’ve been playing with fun backgrounds and I love the way that this one turned out. Other than the background, it is a very simple card to make…which is always my favourite to create!

Snowflake Wishes Double Easel Card

Here’s another fun fold card called a Double Easel Card. I pulled out my Snowflake Wishes stamp set, dies and coordinating designer paper to create this fun Christmas card. Snowflake Wishes Double Easel Card stampin up fun fold

 

Dimensions

  • Pacific Point:  5 ½” x 8 ½”, scored at 4 ¼”
  • Seaside Spray: 5 ¼” x 8”, scored at 4” and 6”
  • Whisper White: 3/4″ x 3 1/4″
  • Patterned Paper:  1 ¾” x 5”  AND  3 ¾” x 5″

Directions

  1. Fold the piece of 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ Pacific Point cardstock in half on the score-line to create the card base.
  2. Valley-fold the Seaside Spray cardstock in half on the score mark, then mountain-fold the lower score mark.

  3. Adhere the folded cardstock to the front of your card base.
  4. Adhere the designer papers to the card.
  5. Cut out snowflakes using the coordinating dies. Adhere them together using the Fine-Tip Glue Pen, let dry then add Wink of Stella to each snowflake.
  6. Stamp the “Snowflake Wishes” on to the 3/4″ x 3 1/4″ piece of Whisper White cardstock, then add to the card using Dimensionals.
  7. Stamp the “In the coldest moments” greeting on to a piece of scrap Whisper White cardstock, then cut out using the Tasteful Labels Dies. Adhere the label to the fold of the card using the Multipurpose Liquid Glue (glue is added to the bottom half only).
  8. Adhere the snowflakes to the card using the Fine-Tip Glue Pen.
  9. Add the Frosted Epoxy Droplets and the Iridescent Pearls to the snowflakes.

Holly, Jolly Gnomes

These little gnomes are super cute and they are fun to colour with different Blends Marker colours!

Dimensions

  • Cherry Cobbler: 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″
  • Old Olive: 4″ x 5 1/4″
  • Smoky Slate: 2 3/4″ x 4 7/8″
  • Shimmery White: 2 1/2″ x 4 5/8  AND  3/4″ x 1 5/8″

Directions

    1. Place the Old Olive cardstock in the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder, then run it through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine to add texture. Add to the card using Multipurpose Glue.
    2. Stamp the 4 gnomes on to the Shimmery White cardstock using Memento Black ink. Colour the gnomes with Stampin’ Blends.
    3. Take the Dark Misty Moonlight Blend and tap it against another marker so that it creates speckles over the cardstock. I used a small scrap cardstock to cover each of the gnome’s faces. Adhere the cardstock to the Smoky Slate cardstock and adhere both to the card.
    4. Stamp the greeting on to the smaller Shimmery White cardstock using Memento ink. Adhere to the card and tuck the bottom under the layers.

SIP card with Special Someone

Today I am sharing a SIP CARD! (Stamps, Ink, Paper) There is no real technique on this card, but, I love the simplicity of it! It’s all about stamping!
Dimensions

  • Thick Whisper White: 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2, scored at 4 1/4″
  • Basic Black: 4″ x 5 1/4″
  • Whisper White: 3 3/4″ x 5″

Directions

  1. Stamp the outline of the chipmunk on the Whisper White cardstock using Memento Black ink.
  2. Stamp the inside part of the chipmunk with Smoky Slate ink.
  3. Stamp the string of the balloon with Memento Black ink.
  4. Stamp the inside of the balloon using Highland Heather ink that has been stamped on scrap paper first.
  5. Stamp the outline of the balloon using Highland Heather ink.
  6. Stamp the greeting using Highland Heather ink.
  7. Use a dauber to add Pool Party ink around the chipmunk.
