Here Together and Natural Tones Blends

This weekend, I finally got to play with my new Natural Tones Stampin’ Blends. There are so many options for beautiful skin colours but you can, of course, use these beautiful colours for other images. The collection has the Blends, a stamp set, the dies, and Designer Series Paper.

Dimensions

  • Pool Party: 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″  and  3 1/8″ x 3 1/8″
  • Basic Black: 4″ x 5 1/4″
  • Designer Paper: hands- 3″ x 3″  and  dotted lines- 1 3/4″ x 5 1/2″
  • Basic White: 3/4″ x  2 1/4″
  • Magenta Madness: 1/2″ x 2 1/4″

Directions

  1. Use the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder to add texture to the Basic Black cardstock. Adhere it to the card base.
  2. Adhere the dotted designer paper on top of the Basic Black cardstock.
  3. Cut the piece of cardstock in 4 pieces and use one of the pieces to colour for the card. (Each piece will be 3″ x 3″)
    ALL TOGETHER 6" X 6" (15.2 X 15.2 CM) DESIGNER SERIES PAPER
  4. Colour each pair of hands, then colour the white space with the Light Pool Party Blend. Adhere the coloured designer paper to the 3″ x 3″ Pool Party cardstock, then adhere it to the card.
  5. Stamp the heart on Basic White cardstock using Memento ink. Cut out using the heart die. Colour using Magenta Madness Stampin’ Blends. Add to the card using Dimensionals.
  6. Stamp the greeting on the Whisper White cardstock using Memento ink, then cut the end.
  7. Cut the end of the Magenta Madness cardstock, and adhere it to the back of the greeting layer. Adhere them to the card using Dimensionals.
  8. Add gems.

Hello Ladybug

I think ladybugs are the ONLY bugs that I actually like and the ladybug stamp set is so adorable! Check out these 2 great Stampin’ Up! projects!

Directions for Card 1

1. Get ready to make this dazzling card by prepping the following paper pieces:
• 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″  from Blushing Bride Cardstock
• 3/8″ x 2″  from Blushing Bride Cardstock
• 3″ x 4″  from Basic White Cardstock
• 5-1/2″ x 4-1/4″  from Basic White Cardstock
2. On the 3″ x 4″  Basic White piece, stamp the large daisy image from the Hello Ladybug Stamp Set in a random pattern with Polished Pink ink. Then stamp the flower centers using Pale Papaya ink.
3. On the 5-1/2″ x 4-1/4″ Basic White piece, stamp one ladybug body in Pale Papaya ink and another ladybug body in Soft Succulent ink. Then, stamp two sets of wings in Old Olive ink. Punch out stamped images using the Ladybug Builder Punch. Use adhesive to assemble each ladybug.
4. Stamp the sentiment in Polished Pink ink onto the 3/8″ x 2″ Blushing Bride piece. Trim the top right edge at an angle using scissors.
5. Create the card base by folding the 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″  Blushing Bride piece in half, then adhere the 3″ x 4″  Basic White piece to the lower right side of the card base.
6. Adhere ladybugs and the sentiment to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals, then glue Loose Flower Flourishes for a fabulous final touch!

Directions Directions for Card 2

1. Prepare the following paper sizes before you start stamping:
• 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″ from Soft Succulent Cardstock
• 3-1/2″ x 5″ from Soft Succulent Cardstock
• Two pieces measuring 2″ x 3″ from Basic White Cardstock
• 1-1/4″ x 1-1/4″ from Old Olive Cardstock
2. Fold the 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″  Soft Succulent piece in half and score at 4-1/4″ to create the card base.
3. On the 3-1/2″ x 5″  Soft Succulent piece, randomly stamp the small flowers from the Hello Ladybug Stamp Set in Soft Succulent ink.
4. Stamp the sentiment in Jet Black StazOn ink onto the 1-1/4″ x 1-1/4″ Old Olive piece.
5. Stamp one ladybug body in Polished Pink ink and one set of wings in Blushing Bride ink onto a 2″ x 3″ Basic White piece. Then stamp the dots onto the wings in Polished Pink ink. Punch out the images using the Ladybug Builder Punch, then use Multipurpose Liquid Glue to assemble.
6. Adhere the 3-1/2″ x 5″ Soft Succulent piece to the center of the card base. Then adhere the remaining 2″ x 3″ Basic White piece on top of the stamped card front.
7. Centre the ladybug piece onto the Basic White piece and adhere using Stampin’ Dimensionals. Then use another Stampin’ Dimensional to attach the sentiment (it should slightly overlap the ladybug).
8. Add beautiful embellishments by gluing Loose Flower Flourishes to the card front.

Life Is Better With Friends Like You

Today I wanted to share a fun card that was inspired by a Stampin’ Up! Home Office card. The first card was made by Stampin’ Up using the Daffodil Daydream Bundle.
They created the card using post-it notes to mask off parts of the cardstock, then using the Blending Brushes to add the colour directly on to the Basic White cardstock.
I decided that I wanted to cut out the pieces first and colour them after.

Dimensions

  • Melon Mambo: 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″
  • Basic White: 4″ x 5 1/4″
  • Basic White: 3 of  7/8″ x 2 7/8″ Stitched Rectangle Die Cuts

Directions

  1. Cut out 3 Basic White pieces with the 7/8″ x 2 7/8″ Stitched Rectangle Die.
  2. Add  individual colours to each using the Blending Brushes with the Melon Mambo, Granny Apple Green and Daffodil Delight ink pads.
  3. Stamp the splatter spots from the Friendly Hello stamp set with the matching ink colours. (Alternative: If you don’t have the splatter stamp, you can press ink on to a stamping block, water it down and then pick it up with a brush, then flick ink on to the layer.)
  4. Adhere the 3 coloured pieces on the Basic White layer leaving the stitched part of the left side off the layer a bit. Cut off the excess pieces.
  5. Use the Stiched With Whimsy large die to cut around the Basic White layer. Adhere it to the card base.
  6. Stamp the greeting on a piece of Basic Black cardstock using Versamark ink. (Tip: use the retired Embossing Buddy or a Dryer sheet to rub across cardstock before stamping to take the static out of the cardstock)
  7. Sprinkle White Embossing Powder on, tap off excess and heat set with Heat Tool. Cut out using Paper Snips. Add to the card using Dimensionals.
  8. Stamp the flowers on to a piece of Basic White cardstock using Versamark ink.
  9. Sprinkle Black Embossing Powder on top, tap off excess and heat set with the Heat Tool.
  10. Colour using the coordinating Stampin’ Write Markers. Cut out using Paper Snips. Adhere it to the card.
  11. Tie the Baker’s Twine in a bow and add it to the card using a Mini Glue Dot.

You Make Me Smile

Sometimes cards with just one colour is all you need. The Calming Camellia stamp set is part of the Sale-A-Bration bonuses for an order over $375.

Measurements:

  • Basic White ThickCS: 5-1/2” x 8-1/2”
  • Basic Black CS: 4” x 5-1/4”; 3” x 4-1/4”
  • DSP: 3-3/4” x 5”
  • Silver Foil: 2-7/8” x 4-1/8”
  • Basic White CS: 2-3/4” x 4”

Instructions:

  1. Adhere Pattern Party DSP to Basic Black CS then to Basic White Thick CS card base.
  2. Stamp ‘flower’ on Basic White CS with Basic Gray ink.
  3. Stamp sentiment with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on bottom of stamped Basic White CS.
  4. Adhere stamped Basic White CS piece to Silver Foil then to Basic Black CS layer.
  5. Wrap stamped unit with Black 3/8” Glittered Organdy Ribbon and tie knot.
  6. Add to card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  7. Finish with Classic Matte Dots.

  • Real Red: 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″  and  4″ x 5 1/4″
  • Basic Black: 1 3/4: x 4 7/8″
  • Silver Foil: 1 1/2″ x 4″
  • Basic White: 2 7/8″ circle die

Directions

  1. Use the Hive 3D Embossing Folder to add texture to the Real Red and the Silver Foil Layers. Adhere both layers to the card using Tear & Tape Adhesive.
  2. Stamp “Dad” on the Basic Black cardstock randomly using Whisper White ink. Cut the ends in a triangle. Adhere to the card using Tear & Tape Adhesive.
  3. Stamp the greeting on a piece of Basic White and cut out using the 2 7/8″ circle die.
  4. Stamp the 2 images on the circle using Real Red ink. Add to the card using Dimensionals.
  5. Stamp the shovel and the rake on Basic White cardstock using Memento black ink. Cut them out using the matching dies.
  6. Colour the images using the Smoky Slate and the Real Red Stampin’ Blends. Adhere them to the card using Stampin’ Seal with a cut Dimensional at the end of the rake.
