This card was inspired by the layout found on page 167  (top right) of the annual catalogue. If you struggle to come up with designs, make sure you open up your catalogue and you can copy designs!

Below is the project that inspired the card above!
Supplies:

  • Stamp set: Charming Sentiments Bundle (English) [158734]
  • Cardstock & Paper: Highland Heather [146986], Basic White [159276]
  • Ink: Black Memento Ink Pad [132708], Highland Heather [147103]
  • Tools & Accessories: Enchanting Details Dies [159166], Water Painters [151298], Pearlized Enamel Effects Basics [156310], Bone Folder [102300], Stampin’ Dimensionals [104430], Stampin’ Seal [152813], Blending Brushes [153611], Iridescent Rhinestones Basic Jewels [158130], Rose Gold & White 5/8″ (1.6 Cm) Striped Ribbon [159194]

Measurements: 

  • Card Base: Highland Heather 5.5″ x 8.5″ folded to 5.5″ x 4.25″
  • Layer #2: Highland Heather 5.25″ x 4″
  • Layer #3: Highland Heather 5.5″ x 4.25″ (x3)

Instructions:

  1. Cut and score card base. Fold in half using a bone folder.
  2. Die cut three Enchanting Detail Floral borders from Highland Heather cardstock.
  3. Cut a piece of Highland Heather cardstock to 5.25″ x 4″ (layer 2). Use one of the Enchanting Detail die cuts as a stencil and layer over top right corner. Using a blending brush add Highland Heather ink over makeshift stencil. Repeat this process in bottom left corner.
  4. Center and mount layer 2 onto card base.
  5. Take remaining two Enchanting Detail Floral border and adhere together to make one thick piece. Mount to top left corner of card – layer 3.
  6. Stamp sentiment from Charming Sentiments in Tuxedo black ink onto Basic White cardstock. Die cut out using coordinating die.
  7. Cut a piece of Rose Gold ribbon to 4”. Fold in half and adhere to card. See card for placement.
  8. Adhere die cut sentiment on top of ribbon using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  9. Add Iridescent Rhinestones to card front. See card example for placement.

Christmas Wishes

  • Ink: Cherry Cobbler (147083), Evening Evergreen (155576)

Measurements:

  • Card Base: Thick Basic White 4 ¼ x 11, score at 5 1/2
  • Cardstock #2: Vellum 3 ¼ x 4 ½
  • Designer Paper #1: Sweetest Christmas 4 ¼ x 5 ½

Instructions:

  1. Fold card base and burnish the fold with a Bone Folder.
  2. Glue the designer paper to the front of the card base.
  3. Use an Embossing Buddy over the Vellum using the Embossing Additions Tool Kit. Use a somewhat juicy Evening Evergreen stamp pad to stamp three leaves on the Vellum. Immediately use Clear Emboss Powder from the Basics Emboss Powders over the green.  Melt with the Heat Tool.
  4. Repeat this step using a somewhat juicy Cherry Cobbler pad for the berries. Emboss the berries with Clear Emboss Powder as well.
  5. Add the Vellum panel with glue dots. Place the glue dots behind embossed areas and in areas behind where the saying will be placed.
  6. Stamp the saying from Leaves of Holly in Cherry Cobbler on scrap Basic White. Use the Embossing Buddy first.  Emboss the saying with Clear Emboss Powder and melt with Heat Tool.  Cut out the saying with the Holly Berries dies.
  7. Add some of the Gold Trim from the Simply Elegant Trim. Tape the trim on the back of the saying.  Add dimensionals on each side of the trim and near the ends.  Frazzle the ends of the trim if you wish.
  8. Complete the card with Red Rhinestone Basic Jewels.

Woo Hoo You Did It

Happy Saturday! It is HOT and SUNNY today and the perfect day for a swim!
Before I go enjoy my pool, I thought I’d share this very colourful card!

Dimensions: 
1. Take the Thick Basic White card base and use a Bone Folder to burnish the fold.
2. Attach Pacific Point Panel to card front
3. Stamp sentiment on scrap of Basic White using Memento Ink, and cut out using die from Stylish Shapes
4. Attach sentiment to the piece of vellum
5. Using the Stampin’ Blends, color the Crinkle Seam Binding and give it a minute to dry
6. Using the Basic White Panel, alternate stamping the ‘Woo Hoo’ and ‘Amazing’ stamps using each of the 5 ink colors mentioned above. The ‘Woo Hoo” gets aligned on the left hand side of the panel and the ‘Amazing” gets aligned to the far right side.
7. Wrap the colored seam binding around the stamped panel and tie a bow at the far left side of the panel.
8. Attach this panel to the Pacific Point layer
9. Apply dimensionals to the back of the vellum layer and attach that to the card front, layering it over the crinkle seam binding
10. Add Glossy Dots

Adventurous Birthday

Measurements:

  • Early Espresso CS: 5-1/2” x 8-1/2”, scored in half at 4-1/4”
  • Basic White CS:  5-1/4” x 4”
  • Basic White Thick CS: scrap for kayak
  • Designer Series Paper (DSP):   5-1/4” x 4”

Instructions:

  1. Burnish the fold in the card base with a Bone Folder.
  2. Stamp the sentiment in Early Espresso ink onto the die cut from the DSP pack.
  3. Stamp the kayak in Tuxedo Black Memento ink onto a scrap of Basic White Thick CS.
  4. Colour the stamped image using the Stampin’ Blends Markers.
  5. Fussy cut the stamped image using Paper Snips.
  6. Colour the cut edges of the image using the Basic Black Stampin’ Write Marker.
  7. Using your fingernail (or another similar tool) to rough up the edges of the DSP layer.
  8. Use a Sponge Dauber and Early Espresso ink to darken the edges of the DSP layer and the sentiment layer.
  9. Glue the kayak onto the sentiment layer.
  10. Glue the DSP layer onto the front of the card base.
  11. Adhere the sentiment layer with kayak onto the DSP layer using large pieces cut from a Foam Adhesive Sheet.
  12. Glue the Basic White CS onto the inside of the card base.
