Tip: Create New Shapes with Triangles
Paper piecing makes for a fun way to create a beautiful background. For example, take the Triangle punch (#133375) and the Kaleidoscope Designer Series Paper (#132995) and punch out lots of triangles in different patterns and colors. Adhere them to a piece of Whisper White card stock (#100730) that has been cut to your desired size. Cover the whole piece – letting parts of triangles hang over the edge of the card stock where needed. Trim off the excess once it is dry. Adhere to your card, add a greeting, and you're done!

Stampin’ Gals Gone Wild Wednesday Freebie – Backyard Basics card

SG Wed Freebie 350 I am SO excited to share today's STAMPIN' GALS GONE WILD WEDNESDAY video with you! Why? Because today's project uses goodies from Stampin' Up's Weekly Deals – aka ON SALE! Wahoo! I love to get stuff on sale! It's such a rush! Well, today I have a pretty Spring-y card using the Backyard Basics stamp set and matching Framelits (the Framelits are on sale through March 3, 2014).

I absolutely LOVE this card! I must admit I am getting pretty desperate for some Spring weather…and flowers…and green grass…and temperatures above freezing…. <sigh>

I have to tell you, the Backyard Basics stamp set and matching Framelits are AMAZING! So pretty and so easy to work with!

I also love the dressed up inside of today's card. That bird is just precious!

The other thing I love about today's card is how we use the layering pieces to cut out images to save on cardstock. Anyone out there like to save on cardstock? I can get a little obsessed about it and find it challenging to see how well I can use my layering pieces.
