I was challenged to make a monochromatic card. I hadn’t used the By My Side stamp set yet so I pulled it out to use with the new colour Azure Afternoon.
Supplies:

Stamp Sets: By My Side (159006)
Cardstock: Azure Afternoon (161719), Basic White (159276)
Ink: Azure Afternoon (161663), Jet Black St?zon Ink Pad (101406)
Tools & Accessories: Water Painters (151298), Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine (149653], Scalloped Contours Dies (155560], Black & White 1/4″ Gingham Ribbon (156485), Multipurpose Liquid Glue (110755), Mini Glue Dots (103683)
Designer Paper: Fresh As A Daisy 12″ X 12″ (161289)

Measurements:

Azure Afternoon: 5 ½” x 8 ½”, scored at 4 ¼” AND ¼” x 2 ½”
Fresh As A Daisy Designer Paper: 4” x 5 ¼”
Basic White Die-Cut: 2 ½” x 3 ¾”

Instructions:

Adhere the Designer Paper to the card front.
Use the 2 ½” x 3 ¾” die-cut with the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine to cut through the 2 layers. (Open the card before placing through the machine).
Stamp the image using Memento black ink on a piece of Basic White cardstock. Cut it out using the same die as above.
Use a small Water Painter to colour the girl, and the butterfly. (I press the ink pad on to a Stampin’ Block to pick up the colour. Squeeze out a bit of water on the block to mix it with the ink to create different shades of the colour)
Close the card front and place the Basic White cardstock through the window to adhere.
Stamp the greeting on a piece of Azure Afternoon. (With red rubber cling stamps, I like to stamp then use my trimmer to cut it out close to the writing.)
Add glue to the right-hand side of the greeting and add it to the card.
Make a small bow and add it to the card using a glue dot.

Measurements:

Wild Wheat cardstock: 8.5” x 5.5”
Delightfully Eclectic Designer Paper: 4” x 5.25”
Basic White Cardstock: 3.75” x 5”
Scrap Basic Gray Cardstock
Scrap Basic White cardstock for pencils

Instructions:

Score and fold the 8.5” x 5.5’ piece of Wild Wheat cardstock
Use “notebook” die from Gorgeously Made dies to punch edge of 4” x 5.25” piece of Delightfully Eclectic Designer Paper
Adhere piece from step 2 to card front
On scrap Basic White cardstock stamp the Pencil image from the Everyday Thanks stamp set 3 times
Using assorted blends listed under supplies color the pencils
Cut the colored pencils out and adhere to card front
Heat Emboss with White Embossing Powder the greeting “Thanks” from the Everyday Thanks stamp set on a scrap of Basic Gray cardstock
Die cut the embossed greeting from step 7 using the Nested Essential Dies
Add greeting to card front using dimensionals
Stamp greeting on 3.75” x 5” piece of Basic White cardstock
Add piece from step 10 to inside of card.

Measurements:

Real Red: 5 ½” x 8 ½” scored at 4 ¼” AND 1 ¼” x 2”
Basic White: 4” x 5 ¼”
Designer Paper: 2” x 3 ¼” (for raccoon); 2”x 2” (for turtle); 2” x 4” (for alligator)

Instructions:

Adhere the pieces of Designer Paper to the 4” x 5 ¼” Basic White cardstock.
Stamp the greeting and the images on to the 1 ¼” x 2” Real Red cardstock using Memento black ink. Adhere this piece to the Basic White cardstock.
Lay a piece of ribbon on top of the layer and tape the ends of the ribbon to the back. Add a smaller piece of ribbon around the first ribbon and tie in a knot.
Stamp the 3 animals on Basic White cardstock using Memento black ink.
Colour each with Stampin’ Blends.
Add the animals to the card using Dimensionals.
Use the fine-tip glue pen to create a raised gloss on the balloons, flowers, basket and shaker. Let dry before touching.
(My glue pen created bubbles, but instead of popping them, I left them that way since I liked the look)
