Hand Stamped Cards with Josee Smuck-Stampin' Up! Canada Demonstrator

Good Morning!

I'm back with another card sample using a NEW stamp set from the 2015 Holiday Catalogue! This is a super cute stamp set- Thankful Forest Friends!

Supplies Used:

• Stamp Sets: Thankful Forest Friends (wood: 139720, Clear: 139723)
• Inks: Early Espresso Classic Stampin’ Pad (126974); Daffodil Delight, Old Olive, and Rich Razzleberry Stampin’ Write Markers from Brights Collection (131259); Early Espresso Stampin’ Write Marker from Neutrals Collection (131261); Mossy Meadow and Tangelo Twist Stampin’ Write Markers from In-Color 2014-2016 Collection
• Paper: Tangelo Twist (133677), Early Espresso (119686), and Whisper White (100730) cardstock; Into the Woods Designer Series Paper (139586)
• Other: Into the Woods 3/8” Cotton Ribbon (139612); In the Woods Elements (139636); Fast Fuse Adhesive (129026); Stampin’ Dimensionals (104430); Mini Glue Dots (103683)

Measurements:

• Tangelo Twist cardstock: 8-1/2” x 5-1/2”, 4” x 2-1/2”
• Early Espresso cardstock: 5-3/8” x 4-1/8”
• Whisper White cardstock: 3-3/4” x 2-1/4”
• Into the Woods DSP (wood grain): 5-1/4” x 4”
• Into the Woods DSP (acorn/leaves): 2-1/2” x 4”
• Cotton ribbon: 4”

Instructions:

Fold Tangelo Twist cardstock in half for card base and adhere Early Espresso Layer.  Adhere wood grain Designer Series Paper, then acorn/leaves print.  Set aside.  Stamp the bear with Early Espresso ink on the right side of Whisper White cardstock. Ink “Thankful for you” with markers and stamp on the left side.  Layer onto smaller piece of Tangelo Twist cardstock and attach to card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Fringe ends of ribbon and fold in half at an angle.  Adhere to the card with Mini Glue Dots.  Attach wood element with Mini Glue Dot.

Can you believe today is September 1st?? 

It's a very exciting day for Stampin' Up fans today! A new catalogue launches today for the 2015 Fall & Christmas holiday season!

Here is the first of many cards I will be showing you over the next few weeks! This card uses a very versatile holiday set called Happy Scenes (page 11 of the Holiday Catalogue) and it coordinates perfectly with the Hearth & Home Thinlits dies (also on page 11 of the Holiday catalogue)

This card starts with a base of Thick Whisper White cardstock. Then I embossed some Pumpkin Pie cardstock with the NEW Woodland Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. The tree image was stamped on Whisper White with the NEW Black Archival Ink and colored with Stampin' Write markers. The image was then cut with the Lots of Labels Framelits and matted with the larger size dies cut in Blackberry Bliss and Old Olive. This focal point was adhered together and then adhered on top of a layer of White 1 1/4" Jute Ribbon, snipped at the end with some Paper Snips. 

The final touch was a little corner adornment- I cut a square of Blackberry Bliss cardstock in half to create some corner sections and then carefully trimmed them with the Note Tag punch!! I love discovering new ways to use my punches! Then I just finished off the corners with some White Perfect Accents.

Good Morning and Happy Friday!

It saddens me to say it, but with just over a week before schools starts, it always starts to feel like fall at this time of year. The weather cools down and I've noticed some of the leaves changing already! Of course, having to plan ahead for the school year and Christmas season always makes it feel like fall is here sooner than it 'officially' is. As much as I love the Summer, Fall really is an amazing time of year (if only Winter didn't always follow it!!). One of my favorite Fall activities is apple picking and enjoying the fruits of our labour 🙂  This card reminds me of those great times. 

I just love the colour combination on this card: Tip Top Taupe, Mint Macaron, Real Red and a little Whisper White.  The apples and the basket were stamped from the Sprinkles of Life stamp set and punched out with the Tree Builder punch. Talk about a versatile stamp set and punch!! The sentiment and the little heart swirl are from the Hello Life stamp set.

The Mint Macaron layer was embossed with the Large Polka Dot Textured Embossing Folder. The tag under the apple basket is from the Chalk Talk Framelits and added to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals. The Whisper White layers were punched with the Decorative Label punch and then cut in half. A little bit of Linen Thread was used to finish off the card.
