Six Sayings + Designer Series Paper= Multi Seasonal Cards

Today I've got a great set of cards to show you! Take one card design, one Hostess stamp set and some Designer Series Paper and you can create a set of cards for any occasion!

Six Sayings, halloween, thanksgiving, christmas, hand stamped cards, home made cards, quick and easy card, patterned paper, designer series paper, banner triple punch, big shot, embossing folders

Here are the Instructions:

Emboss the narrower (of the two) horizontal bands with your choice of embossing folder
Using SNAIL, adhere that embossed piece to slightly wider band piece then onto Designer Series Paper
Stamp sentiment onto Very Vanilla or Whisper White cardstock, depending on your Designer Series Paper colors and in the color ink of your choice, then trim to desired width and use Triple Banner Punch to create small banner edge(s). Adhere that piece to the band piece
Using Stampin' Dimensionals adhere entire paper piece onto card base.
Using Candy Dots and/or rhinestones, scatter then onto Designer Series Paper.

Measurements (in descending order of card stock size)

Card base (see color lists below to choose your favorite coordinating color based on the Designer Series Paper chosen): 4-1/4” x 11” OR 5-1/2” x 8-1/2” then score in half
The Designer Series Paper of your choice: 4” x 5-1/4”
Coordinating color for wider horizontal band: 2” x 4”
Coordinating color for narrower horizontal band you will emboss: 1-3/4” x 4”
Whisper White or Very Vanilla strip for sentiment: finished size 1” x 3-1/4” so stamp on a scrap just a little larger and trim so sentiment is straight

Just a Note: One sheet of 12” x 12” Designer Series Paper will yield 6 card fronts. All packs of Designer Series Paper use Stampin’ Up exclusive colors and all colors used are listed in the catalog and on the product packaging. Peaceful Pines & Happy Scenes

Hello! Happy Friday!

Today I wanted to show you one of the cards from last week's Christmas Card Class. I loved the idea of creating a larger tree using the Perfect Pines Framelits- it just fit perfectly in front of the Hearth & Home window frame!

Tips to Make It:

Emboss the backround Basic Gray with the Brick Wall Embossing Folder, run some ink along the embossed edges to add texture
Stamp the window scene using one of the scenes from Happy Scenes
Cut the window out from Whisper White cardstock using the Hearth & Home Thinlits and rub some Chocolate Chip ink along edges with sponge, adhere to the stamped scene and then to the Basic Gray layer
Cut 3 different sized trees from Perfect Pines Framelits-you can cut all three from the one strip of Always Artichoke all at once through the Big Shot
Use scissors to rim the trunks off the two smaller trees. Line up the three trees one on top of the other- smallest to largest to create one large tree and adhere together; run the larger tree through the Big Shot in the Elegant Dots Embossing Folder; add to the card front using Stampin' Dimensionals
Stamp the ornaments with Real Red and the tree base with Chocolate Chip and cut with the matching Framelits, use glue dots to adhere the pieces to the tree and add a star button from Home for Christmas Designer Buttons
Stamp the sentiment and punch out using the Washi Label punch

Stampers Dozen Blog Hop: Fall

Good Morning!

Welcome to this month's 'Fall' Blog Hop! For this month's project, I really wanted to use the Leaflet Framelits and Vintage Leaves stamp set. I love these Framelits and coordinating stamps and have seen so many wonderful home decor project ideas that I could use them for, but when I sat down to create, I ended up making this lovely card. lol! Sometimes you just have to go with the creative flow!

This card initially started with the Happy Scenes 'scene'. I had stamped it on some watercolor paper with the Black Archival ink and colored it with an Aqua Painter and some ink in Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie, Crushed Curry and Tempting Turquoise (for the sky). Totally Fall colors! It reminded me of a piece of artwork on a canvas, so I ended up die cutting it with the Tags & Labels Framelits and mounted it on a die cut from a Gold Foil sheet from the next size of the dies.I wanted to create a cluster of pretty items under the 'artwork' so I stamped some Vintage Leaves and cut them using the Leaflets Framelits. I used Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie and Crushed Curry cardstock and ink for each leaf. I cut a Tea Lace Paper Doilie in half and a strip of Winter Wonderland Designer Vellum Stack and started layer the pieces.

Before I added the cluster to the Chocolate Chip card base, I embossed it with the Woodland Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.
