Posted on May 24, 2016May 20, 2016 by Josee

social_retired2016_demo_Apr1816_NA_2 (1)

Good Morning!!

Today's card features the Birthday Blossoms stamp set and some retiring Cherry on Top Designer Series Paper to create a fun collar fold on the card front. The coordinating Pansy Punch makes the Birthday Blossoms flowers so easy to cut and layer for great dimension!

Birthday Blossoms, Birthday Card, Stampin Up,

How To Make It:

Use paper trimmer to cut a 1-1/2” slit in the Cherry On Top Designer Series Paper halfway down the paper (at 2-3/4”) and fold the loose edges back to create a “collar” look. Adhere to the card front.

Stamp “The Best Day Ever” in the space created by collar. On scraps of Whisper White cardstock, stamp two of the flowers from Birthday Blossoms with Island Indigo ink and one set of leaves with Cucumber Crush ink.

Use a blender pen to pull ink into the images. Punch the flowers with Pansy punch and “fussy cut” the leaves using Paper Snips.

Gently press lid of Crushed Curry ink pad down to deposit ink to inside of lid. Use a blender pen to paint the center of the flowers. Attach the flowers with Stampin’ Dimensionals and adhere the leaves behind the  flowers.

Paint the centers of flowers with Wink of Stella.

Stamps:

Birthday Blossoms (wood: 139167, clear: 139471)

Paper:

Pool Party (122924) and Whisper White (100730) cardstock; Cherry on Top Designer Series Paper Stack (138443-RETIRING)

Sunburst Sayings Shaker Card

Posted on May 19, 2016May 16, 2016 by Josee

Good Morning!!

I just love the colours of today's card! Of course the fact that it's a shaker card makes it even more fun to love! This card uses the Sunburst Sayings Stamp Set to create this fun card that could be used as a graduation card, or any occasion that is worth celebrating!

Sunburst Sayings stamp set, graduation card, celebration card

How To Make It:

Adhere the Tempting Turquoise Floral Designer Series paper to the front of the Whisper White cardbase.

Use the Square Framelits to create the So Saffron window frame. TIP: Use the 4th framelit die from the smallest of the set to create the inside frame. Place the square framelit towards the top part of the So Saffron layer to create an even frame border. Then shift the square framelit down to finish creating a full frame border.

Use the 4” x 3” Project Life Card framelit to die cut the window sheet.

Stamp the sentiments on the window sheet using Jet Black StazOn ink and let dry thoroughly before adhering to the back of the So Saffron frame using Fast Fuse Adhesive.

Cut 2 rows of Stampin Dimensionals in half. Stick these halves lengthwise (and touching edge to edge) to create a wall on the back of the So Saffron/Window Sheet frame. Remove the paper from the Stampin' Dimensionals, sprinkle a couple pinches of Metallic Sequins in the center, and place the White Vellum cardstock layer onto the dimensionals to seal in the sequins.

Create So Saffron and Whisper White banners using the Banner Punch and adhere to the back side of the shaker frame.

Cut a piece of Tea Lace Doily and adhere to the back of the shaker frame.

Create a small bow with tails using Crushed Curry Bakers Twine and glue to the front of the shaker frame.

Adhere the whole shaker frame ensemble to the front of the card.

Stamps:

Sunburst Sayings (140725)

Paper:

Whisper White Thick (140272), So Saffron (105118), White Vellum (101856), Brights Designer Series Paper Stack (138434)

Ink:

Jet Black StazOn (101406)

Other:

Window Sheets (114323), Metallics Sequin Assortment (138390), Crushed Curry (134586), Tea Lace Paper Doilies (129399), Banner Punch (133519), Project Life Cards & Labels Framelits (135707), Squares Collection Framelits (130921), Big Shot (113439), Stampin Dimensionals (104430)
