Always Here For You One Layer Card

Posted on August 24, 2017August 16, 2017 by Josee

Today's card is a simple, stamped one layer card using the Sharing Sweet Thoughts stamp set from Stampin' Up's NEW 2017-2018 Annual Catalogue. I just love the look of the half embossed card front and it really makes for an easy to put together card.

Sharing Sweet Thoughts stamp set, Stampin Up, one layer stamped card, Big Shot, embossed card

How To Make This Hand Stamped Card:

All you need to make this card is some Thick Very Vanilla cardstock, cut and scored for your card size. I ran the bottom half of the cardfront in the Big Shot in the Layered Leaves 3D Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.

Then, with Basic Black ink, stamp the branches and butterflies from the Sharing Sweet Thoughts stamp set. Color in the images using an Aqua Painter and ink pads. I used Crushed Curry, Tranquil Tide and Chocolate Chip ink.

With Tear & Tape Adhesive, adhere the Tranquil Tide 1/2" Finely Woven Ribbon to the top of the embossed section.

Stamp the greeting from the Sharing Sweet Thoughts stamp set on a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock and punch it out using the Classic Label punch. Use a few Mini Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere it to the cardfront.

Finally, add a few Crushed Curry colored Glitter Enamel Dots to finish off the card.

You Can’t Improve on Fabulous!

Posted on August 17, 2017August 14, 2017 by Josee

Today's card is a simple, stamped birthay card or all occasion card using the You've Got Style stamp set from Stampin' Up's NEW 2017-2018 Annual Catalogue. This lady is so much fun to color and is the perfect stamp for the ladies in your life!

You've Got Style stamp set, Stampin Up, stamped birthday card, stamped all occasion card, Big Shot

How To Make This Hand Stamped Card:

So this card is easy to put together and starts with some Early Espresso cardstock to create a card base.

Then, I took a sheet of the fabulous Wood Textures Designer Series Paper Stack and ran it through the Big Shot to emboss it with the Pinewood Planks 3D Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. Love the deep texture this adds to the wood plank look.

Tie some 1/4" Copper Trim to the bottom section of the embossed patterned paper and adhere this to the cardbase.

Next, stamp the lovely lady from the You've Got Style stamp set with Basic Black ink and color her in using the Stampin' Up Watercolor Pencils and Aqua Painters, going light on the water since we stamped her on regular Whisper White cardstock. You've Got Style stamp set, Stampin Up, stamped birthday card, stamped all occasion card, Big Shot

Die cut the stamped image using the oval Stitched Shape Framelits die and then die cut a mat layer for the image using Tempting Turquoise cardstock and the Layered Ovals Framelits dies in the next size up. Adhere the two ovals together and adhere them to the cardfront.

Finally, stamp the greeting from the You've Got Style stamp set with White Craft ink on a piece of Early Espresso cardstock and punch it out using the Pretty Label Punch. Add it to the card front with some Stampin' Dimensionals.

Friendship Card: Happiness Is A Cup of Coffee With a Friend

Posted on August 15, 2017August 9, 2017 by Josee

The handmade card I have to show you today was so fun to put together! This stamped friendship card uses the Coffee Cafe stamp set, as well as the new Embossing Paste from Stampin' Up's NEW 2017-2018 Annual Catalogue.

How To Make This Hand Stamped Card:

This card starts by cutting a sheet of Coffee Break Designer Series Paper from it's 12×12 size to 8.5"x 5.5", scoring it at 4.25". You can get two card bases from one sheet of paper and have some pieces left over to use on the card fronts.

Then, cut a piece of Whisper White cardstock to 3.75"x 5" for the inside of the card. This inside piece will add more sturdiness to the patterned paper card base and will be where you can add a handwritten message and/or stamp the inside as I did here using the coffee bean and heart stamps from the Coffee Cafe stamp set.

Now, for the card front, cut a piece of Pear Pizzazz cardstock and a piece of Whisper White cardstock to layer on top of it. Use Early Espresso ink to stamp the greeting/coffee cup and topping stamp from the Coffee Break stamp set onto the Whisper White layer.

Use the new Circle Tab Punch to punch out a tab from Soft Sky cardstock. On a scrap piece of Whisper White, stamp the 'Enjoy' stamp from the Tabs For Everything stamp set with Early Espresso ink. Punch it out using the 3/4" Circle Punch and adhere it to the punched tab. Adhere to both sides of the Whisper White stamped layer and then adhere this layer to the Pear Pizzazz mat layer.

From Soft Sky cardstock, punch out the border using the Decorative Ribbon Border Punch and adhere that to the stamped layer with the Fine Tip Glue Pen.

Add Dimension With Embossing Paste

For some fun dimension, use a Palette Knife and the Embossing Paste to add a whipped look to the topping stamp and add some Dazzling Diamonds Stampin' Glitter over the embossing paste and allow to dry. (You can use your finger to lightly press the glitter into the paste).

Once the embossing paste is dry, add a few Soft Sky colored, heart shaped Subtles Enamel Shapes to the cardfront- including one right on the embossing paste.

Stampin' Up Stamps:

Coffee Cafe stamp set, Tabs For Everything stamp set

Stampin' Up Paper:

Coffee Break Designer Series Paper, Whisper White cardstock, Pear Pizzazz cardstock, Soft Sky cardstock

Stampin' Up Ink:

Early Espresso Stampin' Pad, Soft Sky Stampin' Pad

Other Stampin' Up Supplies and Tools:

Circle Tab Punch, Decorative Ribbon Border Punch, Embossing Paste, Palette Knives, Subtles Enamel Shapes,  3/4" Circle Punch, SNAIL Adhesive, Fine Tip Glue Pen, Dazzling Diamonds Stampin' Glitter

I hope you enjoyed today's hand stamped friendship card using the new Coffee Cafe and Tabs for Everything stamp sets!
