Happy Monday! Today, we had quite the snowfall…as much as I don’t like winter, the snow does make it really pretty around Christmas…if only it would go away a week after New Year’s Day!!!

We’ve shared a lot of Christmas cards on here lately, so here’s a cute birthday card today! This is a fun card and can be easily re-created with any Designer Series Paper scraps that you have around!

Supplies:

  • Stamp Sets – Picture Perfect Birthday (145519)
  • Card Stock – Berry Burst (144243); Whisper White (100730); Basic Black (121045)
  • Stamp Pads – Tuxedo Black Memento Ink (132708)
  • Misc. – Picture Perfect Party 6×6 Designer Series Paper (DSP) (145559); Glitter & Clear Epoxy Shapes (145632); Basic Black Solid Bakers Twine (141682); Celebrate You Thinlits Dies (146840); Multipurpose Adhesive Sheets (144106); Dimensionals (104430); Banner Triple Punch (138292); Basic Black Stampin’ Write Marker (100082)

  • DSP: Striped Pattern 1” x 1 ¾” and Peach Pattern ¾” x 1 ½”
  • Multipurpose Adhesive Sheets: 1 ½” x 4”

Instructions:

  1. Score the larger piece of berry burst cardstock down the middle at 4 ¼” (along the 8-1/2” side). This will be your card base.
  2. Peel off the backing of the multipurpose adhesive sheet and add it to the 1 ½” x 4” piece of berry burst cardstock.
  3. Cut out the word ‘celebrate’ from this berry burst cardstock. Note: make sure the cardstock is facing up (adhesive sheet should be on the bottom).
  4. Using the black marker, ink up ‘the good stuff’ and stamp it in the lower right corner of the smaller of the two white cardstock pieces.
  5. Peel off the backing on the ‘celebrate’ and stick it just above the words you just stamped.
  6. Add the white cardstock to the centre of the basic black cardstock.
  7. Flag one end of each of the two pieces of dsp using the triple banner punch and add them to the upper left corner of the white cardstock.
  8. Add this panel to the card front using dimensionals.
  9. Tie a bow from about 8” of black twine and adhere it to the center of the banners.
  10. Add three of the glitter enamel shapes to the card front.

Tags & Trimmings Joy Card

Posted on December 16, 2017December 14, 2017 by Josee

Eek! 9 more days till Christmas…tonight, we are having some family over for a little Christmas fun. My 10yr old daughter, loves to bake…so we are definetely going to make some yummy goodies together. Right now, baking and slime are her favourite things to do! LOL

This card was so quick & easy and I love it. I really wanted to use some black & white Designer Paper, but, didn’t have any so I created my own using the dots from the Tags & Trimmings stamp set! 🙂

The Silver Glimmer Paper was just perfect to add that touch of SPARKLE that I love some much!!!

Directions

1.  Cut Real Red carstock to 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ and fold in the middle to make card. Score with Bone Folder.
2. Cut Basic Black cardstock to 2 3/4″ x 5 1/2″ and Whisper White Cardstock to 3″ x 5 1/2″.
3. Stamp polka dots all over white layer using the “dots” from Tags & Trimmings stamp set. Make sure you stamp some of the dots on edges of paper as it makes it look more like designer paper that way! Once done, add SNAIL adhesive and adhere to black layer.
4. Take some Silver 1/8″ Ribbon and glue ends behind black cardstock; use tape to keep in place.
5. Cut a smaller piece of silver ribbon along with a piece of the Red ribbon from the Mini Tinsel Trim Combo Pack and use them to tie a know around the silver ribbon. Adhere this layer to the card.
6. Cut out the word JOY with the  Large Letters Framelits Dies using Silver Glimmer Paper. (So SPARKLY!) Use dimensionals to add to card.
7. Attach 3 Rhinestones Jewels and you are done!

Smitten Mittens Noel Card

Posted on December 14, 2017December 13, 2017 by Josee

Hello friends! Hope you are surviving the Holiday rush right now. I’m trying very hard to get my shopping done. I am getting close. Last year, we still had gifts to buy on Christmas Eve and that was CRAZY!!! This year, I vow to be more organized and on time.
This card uses the snowflakes from the set Smitten Mittens and I love how bold they stamp. I used the leftover letters from the card I made HERE using the Large Letter Framelits Framelits.

Directions

1.  Cut Pool Party cardstock to 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ and fold in the middle to make card. Score with Bone Folder.
2. Cut these cardstock pieces: Dapper Denim cardstock to 4 1/4″ x 3 1/2″ ; Whisper White cardstock 3 1/4″ x 4″ ; Vellum cardstock to 1 1/2″ x 5 1/2″
3. Use the snowflakes from the Smitten Mittens stamp set to stamp a background on the Whisper White cardstock in Pool Party & Dapper Denim Ink.
4. Take the Versamark Ink Pad and press it into the stamped layer. You want good coverage, so, keep pressing it into the layer until fully covered.
5. Sprinkle Clear Embossing Powder all over and heat set with the Heat Tool. This will create a glossy look over the stamped snowflakes. Adhere layer to the Dapper Denim cardstock.
6. Use the Banner Triple Punch to punch out triangles on both ends of the Vellum Cardstock.
7. Attach NOEL letters to front of vellum. Attach the vellum layer to card using Glue Dots behind each letter.
8. Add Rhinestone Jewels to each end of vellum.
9. Attach this layer to card using SNAIL Adhesive.

Stampin’ Up Stamps:
