Hand Stamped Cards with Josee Smuck-Stampin' Up! Canada Demonstrator

Measurements:  

• Basic Black: 5 ½” x 8 ½” scored at 4 ¼”, 2 ½” x 2 ½”
• Berry Burst: 4” x 5 ¼”, 2 ¼” x 3 ¾”, 2 ½” x 2 ½”
• Whisper White: 4” x 5 ¼” for inside greeting, 2” x 3 ½” for the front of the card
• Designer Paper: 3 ¾” x 5”
• Metallic-Edge Ribbon: 9” 

Instructions:

1. Place the butterfly outline die on the Basic Black cardstock, place the detailed butterfly die inside the outline die. Send through the Big Shot. Use the die brush rolled over the cut out image to remove small pieces.
2. Place just the butterfly outline die on the Berry Burst cardstock and cut.
3. Adhere the black detailed butterfly to the black butterfly with a glue dot.
4. Place a large rhinestone on the center of the butterfly.
5. Stamp the words “thank you” in Archival Basic Black ink on the 2” x 3 ½” piece of Whisper White cardstock.
6. Fold the Basic Black cardstock in half.
7. Adhere the 4” x 5 ¼” Berry Burst cardstock to the Basic Black.
8. Adhere designer paper to the 4” x 5 ¼” Berry Burst card stock.
9. Adhere the 2 ¼” x 3 ¾” piece of Berry Burst on to the designer paper.
10. Adhere the 2” x 3 ½” piece of Whisper White on top of the Berry Burst.
11. Adhere the Butterfly to the card using Dimensionals.
12. Tie a bow with the Metallic Edge ribbon and attach it with a glue dot.
13. Stamp an inside greeting with Basic Black ink on to the 4” x 5 ¼” white cardstock and adhere to the inside of the card.
14. Give this card to someone you would like to thank!

Tip for cutting the detailed butterfly (or any detailed die) if it does not all cut out the first time through. Place the magnetic platform in the Big Shot, place one cutting pad on top. Place the die CUTTING EDGE UP on the cutting pad. Place the cardstock on top of the die. Place a well used plate that has started to curve on top so the ends are going up. The curve plates will roll with the cutting side of the die giving you a better cut.
