Celebrate with cake

Happy Friday! I am in LOVE with this stamp set! Though it has one main stamp with a bunch of greetings, it really can be stamped in many different ways. I decided for this card, to make a pretty birthday or wedding card. I played with water colouring using an Aqua Painter and ink. I don’t have them yet (they’re on their way), but, there is also a coordinating set of Dies that take this stamp set even further! 🙂 I’m getting the birthday dies in my order tomorrow.

Dimensions:

Granny Apple Green: 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″, score at 4 1/4″
Pool Party: 4″ x 5 1/4″
Flirty Flamingo: 2 1/2″ x 5 1/4″
Watercolor Paper: 3″ x 3 5/8″

Directions:

  1. Run the Pool Party cardstock through a die-cut machine with the Parisian Flourish Embossing Folder. Use Tear & Tape Adhesive to adhere to card. (I put the background upside down to give it a more subtle effect)
  2. Use the dotted stamp to stamp a background on the Flirty Flamingo cardstock using the matching ink.
  3. Colour the Whisper White Crinkled Ribbon using the Light Pool Party Stampin’ Blend. Wrap around the Flirty Flamingo cardstock and tie in a knot. Use the Tear & Tape Adhesive to adhere to the card.
  4.  Stamp the cake stamp using Versamark, add Black Embossing Powder, tap off then heat set using the Heat Tool.
  5. Press the Pool Party ink pad on to a Stampin’ block and use an Aqua Painter to pick up colour and watercolour the cake. Let dry a bit and do it again with a bit less water. Do the same to colour the flowers and leaves.
  6. Stamp some areas with the spot stamp using Basic Gray. You can stamp multiple times before re-inking to have different shades. Adhere to card using Tear & Tape Adhesive.
  7. Stamp the greeting on Watercolor Paper using Basic Gray. Cut out using Paper Snips, then add to the card using Mini Dimensionals. (Tip: move paper when cutting instead of moving the scissors to make the cuts smoother)

To A Great Guy

Dimensions: 

Gray Granite: 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″ AND  x  2 1/2″ x 3 1/2″
Night of Navy: 4″ x 5 1/4″
Shimmery White: 2 1/4″ x 3 1/4″ AND 1 13/16″ x 7/16″

Directions: 

  1. Stamp the Night of Navy cardstock randomly with trucks using the Night of Navy ink to create the background. Adhere to card.
  2. Stamp the truck on to the Shimmery White cardstock using Memento ink.
  3. Colour the truck using the Night of Navy Stampin’ Blends. (I found that the light and dark colours were very similar so I used the Stampin’ Blends Color Lifter to remove some of the colour to create highlights)
  4. Colour the tires and accessories with the Smoky Slate blends.
  5. Stamp the tire marks in Gray Granite ink, then use an Aqua Painter to add a bit more colour of ink. Adhere layer to the Gray Granite mat and adhere both to the card.
  6. Stamp the greeting using Memento black ink and add to the card using Mini Dimensionals.

Dimensions: 
Coastal Cabana: 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″
Designer Paper: 4″ x 5 1/4″

For this card, I used one of the designs from the 6″ x 6″ designer series paper sampler that you get right now for Joining Stampin’ Up! You’ll also get a FREE stamp set of your choice + a Mini Cutter.

Directions:

  1. Adhere the designer paper to the card using SNAIL.
  2. Stamp koala on to scrap Whisper White cardstock using Gray Granite ink for his body and Memento black ink for his face. Use the coordinating Bonanza Die to cut out using a die-cut machine.
  3. Cut out a Daffodil Delight tag using the tag die from the Bonanza Die using a die cutter.
  4. Stamp the greeting on the die using Memento black ink.
  5. Stamp the line of rectangles at the bottom of the tag using Daffodil Delight ink.
  6. Wrap a bow around the hole using black Baker’s Twine.
  7. Stamp the strings for the balloons on the right-hand side of the tag.
  8. Use SNAIL to adhere the tag to the card.
  9. Cut out the balloons using the circle die from the Bonanza Die set. Attach to the card using dimensionals.
  10. Use Wink of Stella on the 3 balloons to add shimmer.

Birthday Buddies

This stamp set has such fun animal characters and they go with the Bonanza Dies so well. I’m not sure which animal I like the best!?

Dimensions:

Real Red: 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″; score at 4 1/4″
Whisper White: 4″ x 5 1/4″
Daffodil Delight: 2″ x 5 1/4″

Instructions:

  1. Stamp greeting in Real Red ink and adhere the layer to the card using SNAIL.
  2. Put the Daffodil Delight cardstock in the Subtle Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder and run through a die-cutting machine. Adhere layer to card using SNAIL.
  3. Cut out 3 Pacific Point stitched circles (1 3/8″) using the Stitched Shapes Dies. Adhere to card.
  4. Stamp the toucan on Whisper White cardstock using Memento Black ink. Colour beak with Stampin’ Blends.
  5. Stamp body of the lion with Daffodil Delight ink and his mane in Mango Melody ink. Stamp face of the lion with Memento black ink.
  6. Stamp the koala using Smoky Slate ink. Stamp his face with Memento ink.
  7. Cut all the animals using the Bonanza dies, then adhere to the card. (The lion’s face will need a dimensional)
  8. Stamp 3 party hats on Whisper White using Real Red ink. Stamp 3 pom-poms in Pacific Point ink. Cut out the shapes using the Bonanza Dies and a die-cut machine. Add to card using dimensionals.

Measurements:

  • Basic Black (base): 4 ¼” x 11”, score at 5 ½”
  • Thick Whisper White (layer): 3” x 5 ½”
  • Thick Whisper White (image): 2” x 2 ¼”
  • Thick Whisper White (greeting): 1” x 2”
  • Real Red (layer): 3 ¼” x 5 ½”
  • Real Red (image): 2 1/8” x 2 3/8”

Instructions:

  1. Stamp the musical score lines using Tuxedo Black Memento ink repeatedly up the center of the Thick Whisper White (layer) cardstock. Stamp the treble clef image using Tuxedo Black Memento ink in the upper right corner of the score lines.
  2. Stamp various musical notes on the score lines using Tuxedo Black Memento ink.
  3. Adhere this layer to the Real Red (layer) cardstock. Adhere these layers to the center of the card base.
  4. Stamp the piano image using Tuxedo Black Memento ink on the Thick Whisper White (image) cardstock. Colour in the image using the Stampin’ Blends Markers. Adhere the image to the Real Red (image) cardstock.
  5. Stamp the greeting using Real Red ink at the top of the Thick Whisper White (greeting) cardstock. Adhere the lower portion of the cardstock to the right back side of the image layers.
  6. Adhere these layers to the lower left side of the card base using Dimensionals.
