Flying Home Baby Card

It’s 2 days into the New Year, are you used to writting 2018 yet?! 😉

It’s also the last day to order from the Holiday Catalogue as the new catalogue starts tomorrow so make sure you get any last minute FAVES today! It’s also the last day for our END OF YEAR EVENT with some great pricing!

Today’s card is a sweet one that is perfect for new parents and it uses products from tomorrow’s catalogue!

Instructions:

Stamp bird nest on left side of white card stock with Memento Ink. Color using Stampin’ Blends.
Stamp greeting on right side of Pool Party banner in Memento Black, trim left end and adhere to top right edge of colored bird nest.
Emboss leafy layer on smaller Pear Pizzazz card stock using Petal Burst embossing folder and Big Shot.
Fold long Pear Pizzazz card in half to create a top-fold card.
Adhere bird nest layer to leafy layer. Tie ribbon around the bottom edge of white card stock.
Attach front of card to base using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Stamp inside greeting on large white card stock and adhere inside card (optional: add a 3/4” x 4” embossed leaf strip along the bottom edge of white card stock inside greeting card)

Measurements:

Basic Black: 8 1/2” x 5 1/2” scored at 4 1/4” plus scrap piece
Whisper White: 5” x 3 3/4”
Myths & Magic Blue Glimmer Paper: 2” x 3 3/4”
Myths & Magic Green Glimmer Paper: 1” x 3 3/4”

Instructions:

Fold Basic Black card stock in half to create card base and set aside.
Place dies from “Celebrate You” thinlits on Whisper White card stock (on diagonal) and run through the Big Shot using the Magnetic Platform. When removing the cut pieces be careful to keep the little bits that go inside the letters, as they will be glued on later.
Place the blue glimmer paper behind the “Celebrate” and tape in place. Repeat with the green glimmer paper behind the “You” and tape in place. Trim any excess off the edge of the Whisper White layer. Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere the little bits that go inside the cut letters (as shown on sample).
Use Black Memento ink to stamp flowers and sentiment on front of Whisper White layer using the stamps from “Lots of Happy Card Kit”. Colour with the Watercolour Pencils that came with the kit, as well as the Bermuda Bay pencil from the Watercolour Pencils set (annual catalogue). Use blender pen over the coloured images then add some Clear Wink of Stella. Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere to card base.
Rub embossing buddy over a scrap piece of Basic Black card stock. Ink sentiment from “Lots of Happy Card Kit” with Veramark and stamp onto black card stock. Sprinkle White Stampin’ Emboss Powder over, shaking off excess, and set with heat tool. Use Bermuda Bay Watercolour Pencil on inside of “Best”. Trim piece and adhere to card, over the original stamped image.
Add Basic Rhinestones to flowers on the card.
Make a bow with the Shimmery Ribbon and use Mini Glue Dots to adhere to card.
For inside of card: cut Whisper White paper 5 1/4” x 4” and glue inside. Stamp sentiment and flowers from “Lots of Happy Card Kit”. Optional: cut second flower image on scrap paper to use as a mask. Use the Watercolour Pencils from the “Lots of Happy Card Kit” to colour the flowers and leaves. Add a touch of Clear Wink of Stella.

A little birdie told me….

A little Bird Banter SNEAK PEEK again for you! These birds are so cute and easy to use in a card, don’t you think?!

Supplies:

Stamp Sets – Bird Banter (145852),
Card Stock –Basic Black (121045), Whisper White (100730), Daffodil Delight (119683)
Stamp Pads – Tuxedo Black Memento Ink (132708),
Misc. – Stampin’ Blends Daffodil Delight – dark (144585), Stampin’ Blends Pink Pirouette Light (144593); Tutti-Frutti Designers Series Paper (145606), Wink of Stella Glitter Brush (141897), 2” circle punch (133782); Paper Snips (103579), Basic Black Baker’s Twine (134576), Stampin’ Dimensionals (104430); Mini Glue Dots (103683); Snail Adhesive (104332)

Measurements:

Basic Black: 5 ½” x 8 ½ ”, scored at 4 1/4”;
Whisper White: 3 1/2” x 5 1/4” , 1/2” x 2, and 2 1/2″ square for punching circle
Daffodil Delight – small piece for balloon image
Tutti-Frutti DSP: 3” x 1” (cut two)

Instructions:

Fold Basic Black cardstock in half to create card.
Use Memento Black ink to stamp the bird on piece of Whisper White cardstock. Punch bird image out with the 2” circle punch. Stamp the string of the balloon so that it appears to be coming out of the bird’s tail.
Stamp the greeting on the smallest piece of Whisper White cardstock, and use Paper Snips to flag the ends to create a banner.
Stamp the balloon image on a small piece of Daffodil Delight cardstock and use Paper Snips to cut out.
Use Daffodil Delight Blend to color beak. Use the Pink Pirouette Blend to add a touch of color to the bird’s cheek.
Use the Wink of Stella Glitter Brush to add shimmer to the bird’s tail and head feathers and also to the small highlighted section of the balloon.
Attach the two pieces of Designer Series Paper to the Whisper White Cardstock using Snail Adhesive. Adhere this piece to card base.
Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to attach the bird, banner and ballon to the card front.
To finish the card, tie a small bow with the Basic Black Baker’s Twine and adhere on the balloon, using a glue dot.

Measurements:

Whisper White Thick: 5 ” x 2 1/2”
Basic Black: 5 ½” x 8 ½” scored at 4 ¼” and 5 ¼” x 2 ¾”

Instructions:

Stamp image using Memento ink. Allow to dry thoroughly.
Colour in using Stampin’ Blends. Colour the white area around the birds with Light Pool Party Stampin’ Blend.
Adhere image to Basic Black Cardstock.
Adhere Tempting Turquoise, Daffodil Delight and Pumpkin Pie to card base.
Stamp the small leaf with VersaMark on the card base colours.
Attach bird image to card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
