Digital Friday: Santa layouts

Posted on December 18, 2009 by Josee

I've been working on my Christmas pages using My Digital Studio and have a bunch already done to share! Most of these were started with template pages that I edited slightly. Hope you like them:

I'm working on some fabulous projects for my January workshops…make sure you let me know if you want to get your friends together for a great night of stamping! We'll have a blast! PLUS, I've decided to schedule a very SPECIAL HOSTESS APPRECIATION EVENT in April just for my Jan-Feb-Mar hostesses! You don't want to miss it, so, let me know asap if you want to pick a date!

Our INKredible Canadian Stamping Divas party!

Posted on December 7, 2009 by Josee

What a busy weekend I had! On Friday, my son had soccer….Saturday, I brought my kids to a Christmas shop at Kanata Baptist Church where they get to select and wrap gifts for everyone on their list (all by themselves or with a helper if needed). I even sent in my 2 year old with a helper and she came out with gifts for everyone including herself…lol! Saturday night was our yearly Team Christmas party! A bunch of our "Stamping Divas" share a potluck dinner, had a gift exchange and stamped together…we really had a wonderful time. Sunday we went to Church and then my Husband & I and our oldest went to the Salvation Army downtown Ottawa with our church to serve dinner to the less fortunate. It was quite an experience that really made me be appreciative of my BLESSINGS! It was a really busy weekend but a really good one!

First…here's my little one getting ready for the party…the hat didn't last long, so, I'm glad that I at least got a photo.

Here are some quick My Digital Studio pages I created of our party! We really had blast…the food was so good, the gifts were amazing and of course it was amazing to catch up with some amazing women that I honestly don't get to see enough! They are a great bunch!

(I know the logo on the pages doesn't look very good, but, it looks great when you print it! I had to shrink the image to fit in this screen!)

The pages were all made with our Christmas Cocoa II digital kit. I actually got this kit for free when I completed the certification program for My Digital Studio.

(If you'd like to see the newest downloads, go to my store here www.stampingjo.com/store and enter the item #) These downloads can be purchased and used with your My Digital Studio OR any similar program.

DIGITAL FRIDAY: My Christmas Card reject! :)

Posted on December 4, 2009 by Josee

As I'm sure many of you are…I'm working on getting ready for Christmas! We don't have our tree yet, but, some of decorations are out. Tomorrow night is my Christmas party for my team. I really have been blessed with a great bunch of friends through my stamping business! I'm definitely never lonely! 🙂 They're truly a fun bunch and tomorrow we're sharing a potluck dinner and are doing a Chinese gift exchange. Woohoo…Time to steal some gifts! I have mine actually finished…aren't you proud?! I'll take some photos of all the gifts tomorrow night and share it with all of you next week.

You know..I would LOVE for you to join our group! It's EASY, no commitment, A GREAT deal, you'll get a discount off everything you purchase, and you can come join us for fun events each month!!!! January has an awesome deal and all you have to do is email me and I will hook you up!!! josee@stampingjo.com Or check out my information page here!

Today my 2 year old & I even got some Christmas shopping done….it seems each year, I finish all the Christmas stuff so late that I'm trying hard to be organized. I bought a couple gifts for my kids, one for my hubby and one for me…hee, hee! I picked up my photo cards at the same time. I created them with My Digital Studio and then got them printed at a photolab! It was super easy! It's not too late to ask Santa for your own My Digital Studio!!! 🙂

Here's the picture I "didn't" use on my card. For the real one, I'll keep it a secret until I've sent them out. So,,,here's the rejected card…lol. I still love this one, but, we chose to add a photo of the whole family…yes, sometimes parents are in the picture!

HELPFUL TIPS on creating a 4×6 photo card

Open up a 6×6 card
Select a square punch and size it to 4×6. Either colour fill or paper fill your punch shape.
Add a photo box and size it to the size you would like.
Double click on it to select your photo. (I then clicked on photo effect and changed it to B&W)
Add embellishments and text
Export the project as a jpeg and upload it to your photo editing softward.
Crop off the white space (the 2" at the bottom)

All done! All you have left to do is send it to your local photolab and have them printed!!! It only cost me 15 cents each! WOW!!!

Crazy Week almost over….

Posted on November 6, 2009November 6, 2009 by Josee

What a crazy & fun week this is! November is always so hectic, but, in a fun way! It's so much fun getting to stamp with so many new people and helping them design their Christmas cards or buy special Christmas gifts!

Want to hear about my week?

Monday-we had a work-bee for my Hoopla event. Thanks to Trina & Janet…all my packages have been packed and I even got some help with cutting for club and finishing some gift ideas. You girls totally ROCK and were so helpful! Thank You, Thank You, Thank You!
Tuesday-I had a stamp club…we had a great time making a card using the Rainbow embossing technique and a Snow Globe card. My club ladies are so much fun to stamp with and we decided to have a special potluck in December together. I'm really looking forward to it. If you want to join a club make sure you check out the info here OR if you're not local or available, you can join my Online Technique Club.
Wednesday-I had fun stamping with Cindy and her friends at her Christmas Card Workshop…Cindy was thrilled to earn free: 3 stamp sets, My Digital Studio program, the 'O Christmas Tree Big Shot Die, the Tree Decoration Die and a Paper Piercer…that's over $250 worth of FREE products…how cool is that?!
Thursday-I did some work to catch up and worked more on Hoopla.
Friday-Went to play group with my 2 year old, did a bit of shopping, wrote this post (lol), and am packing up for a workshop.
Saturday-I have 50 ladies coming for the time of their life at our First Annual Holiday Hoopla event from 1-5pm. I'm almost all done packing for it…and can't wait.
Sunday-Time to sleep!

Next week…you really do have to plan to come to my TILES CLASS on Tuesday night at 7pm…I love this class and you'll be able to take 1 gift off your list (2 gifts if you give each person a set of 2). You can find samples of some of our tiles from last year here and here. Let me know if you want to come! You can find more info on classes here!

Catching up a bit with a sample for you…My kids had a great Halloween and I'm happy to say that my page is completed! We went with a few of the kids from our street and so there was 5 "big kids" and my 2 year old. It was really cute…she kept running after them trying to get to the door first and never did. At one point…she ran after the older kids and started screaming…."wait for the little one…wait for the little one!" Here's a layout I made using My Digital Studio. I used the Cast-A-Spell download to make it!

Next Wednesday will be week 7 of my 12 WEEKS OF CHRISTMAS newsletter, it's going by so fast! I'm featuring a great gift card holder…here's a sneak peek…if you're from Canada…make sure you register by Wednesday to receive it! (Sorry no back-issues are available)
