Flurry of Wishes

Good Morning!

Not that I'm wishing for snow, or really cold weather, but I do love making cards with this Flurry of Wishes stamp set!

This card starts with a base of Thick Whisper White which I embossed with the lovely Softly Falling Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.

Then stamped the largest snowflake with Bermuda Bay ink- giving it a bit of a 'rough look' by spritzing the ink with a very light mist of water and stamped it on Whisper White, then stamped the sentiment with Basic Black Archival ink, cut it and mounted it on a piece of Bermuda Bay cardstock. Then as a final touch, I added a bit of Bermuda Bay Sequin Trim and filled in some of the snowflake lines with the Fine Tip Glue Pen giving it a bit of shine (very hard to see in the photo though). Simple and pretty! Love it!

Paper: Tangelo Twist Card Stock-133677, Basic Black Card Stock-121045, Very Vanilla Card Stock-101650 , Happy Haunting Designer Series Paper-139584, Black Glimmer Paper-139605

Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black-132708

Measurements:

Tangelo Twist Cardstock; card base 5 ½” x 8 ½”, scored and folded in half at 4 ¼”
Basic Black Card Stock 4 ½” x 3 ½”
Black Glimmer Paper 5 ½” x 1”
Happy Haunting Designer paper 4 x 3” (Striped Pattern)
Very Vanilla Scrap Card Stock, cut down with scissors to make a banner

Instructions:

Using the Memento Ink Pad, stamp the image onto your striped designer paper layer.
Stamp just the sentiment on a Very Vanilla Scrap and cut it out.
Make a banner in the end of the Very Vanilla Piece with your scissors.
Attach the 4 ½” x 3 ½” piece of Black Card Stock to the base, then add the glimmer paper on the left hand side. **Tip: try using fast fuse adhesive when adhering your glimmer paper and for the piece that goes on top. It will stick very easily!
Next attach the designer paper layer so it centers on top of the black layer.
“Work” the Very Vanilla paper with your fingers or the Bone Folder so that it stands up in the middle (mountain and valley style) and attach that to your card with two glue dots.

Sheltering Tree Fall card

Hello!

Happy Friday! Welcome back to the blog. Today I thought I would show you a great way to use the Sheltering Tree stamp set to create a fun Fall card.

Start with a card base of Pear Pizzazz. Stamp the tree trunk with Soft Suede onto the Whisper White cardstock. Ink the large leaves stamp with Crushed Curry ink and flip the stamp over inked side up. Take the brush stroke end of each marker and ‘thump’ color all over the leaves that you just inked up with Crushed Curry ink. Don’t think about it, just thump, thump, thump all over with one color and then do the same with the other two markers. Stamp the leaves onto the tree trunk. You will get a beautiful fall color tree effect.

Take the small leaves stamp and color with the markers and stamp onto the white cs as falling leaves. Do this 4 or 5 times until you reach desired look.

Ink rake stamp with Chocolate Chip Marker and stamp it leaning against tree trunk. Ink grass stamp with Pear Pizzazz ink pad and stamp under tree. Stamp verse under grass with Chocolate Chip ink

Now, in the spirit of Fall and this wonderful weather I've got another wonderful Fall inspired card to show you!

Start with a card base of Cajun Craze and score the card base in half at 4-1/4” and fold. Adhere the corrugated cardstock to the bottom edge of cardbase. Run a couple strips of SNAIL adhesive on the back of a small gold metallic doily and then start looping metallic thread behind the doily and periodically pressing the thread into the SNAIL adhesive strips to help hold the loops in place. Adhere the metallic thread & doily to the front of the card, slightly overlapping the corrugated cardstock piece. Adhere the Hello Honey ribbon over the edge of the corrugated cardstock and snip the end of one side to make an angled point.

Stamp the solid base of an acorn from the Acorny Thank You set onto scrap Whisper White cardstock using Delightful Dijon ink and punch out. Stamp the dotted acorn top using Night of Navy ink on scrap Whisper White cardstock and punch out.

Stamp the Nuts About You full acorn image onto a piece of scrap Whisper White cardstock using Soft Suede ink and punch out. Adhere the Navy acorn top to the Dijon acorn bottom and then glue to the front of the card over the ribbon and gold doily. Adhere the Nuts About You acorn overlapping the Navy/Dijon acorn using Stampin’ Dimensionals
