Stake Your Claim/Gift From the Garden Birthday Card

Posted on April 8, 2016April 6, 2016 by Josee

Hello! Happy Friday!

I hope you have some stamping time planned for your weekend!

Today's card features two stamp sets: Stake Your Claim and Gift from the Garden– both from the 2015-2016 Annual Catalogue. Which, by the way, is coming to it's end on May 31st! That means we will soon see a list of the stamp sets and other products that will be retiring from this catalogue and that means, no longer avaialable after May 31st! I will be sure to share that list when it's available! In the meantime, you might want to start making your wish list or updating it 🙂

Stake Your Claim, Gift From the Garden, Handpicked Framelits, Stampin'Up, hand stamped, hand made, Birthday card

This really was an easy card to put together. Once you have embossed the Crumb Cake layer with the Brick Wall Embossing Folder, you adhere that to the Cajun Craze cardbase.

Then, stamp the flower pots in Always Artichoke on Very Vanilla and adhere that to the Cajun Craze mat. Tie some Linen Thread around the two layers. Adhere it to the card front.

Stamp the Stake Your Claim birthday stamp on a piece of Very Vanilla and die cut with the Big Shot and matching Handpicked Framelits die. Add a little adhesive to the die cut and tuck it behind the stamped layer as shown.

Supplies Used:

Stamps: Stake Your Claim- 138688 w, 139447 c; Gift From the Garden- 138718w, 139356c

Paper: Cajun Craze-119684, Crumb Cake- 120953, Very Vanilla- 101650

Ink: Cajun Craze- 126965, Always Artichoke- 126972

Other: Handpicked Framelits- 137361, Brick Wall Textured Impressions Embossing Folder-138288, Linen Thread-104199

Bravo: Congrats Watercolor card

Posted on April 7, 2016May 2, 2016 by Josee

Hello!

I've got a fun and simple card to show you today! This card uses a fun 'watercolor' technique and the Bravo stamp set!

Bravo Congratulations card

How to Make It:
•    Place a drop of each reinker (a part from each other) on a plastic plate or large acrylic block (or you can even put it in the stamp pad lids)
•    Make sure water is flowing in AquaPainter, and “paint” just the water on cardstock, leaving it pretty wet (you want it to kinda puddle)
•    Then, pick up some of the Daffodil Delight reinker and “swoosh” it on the top third
•    Next, the Pumpkin Pie and continue your “swoosh,” overlapping a bit
•    And finally, finish off with the Melon Mambo—you will want to do all of this pretty rapidly and each color in just one big “swoosh”
•    LET DRY
•    Stamp words over watercolored area
•    Assemble as shown

Measurements:
•    Shimmery White Card Base:  8 ½ X 5 ½
•    Basic Black:  3 7/8 X 5 1/8
•    Shimmery White:  3 ¾ X 5

Supplies:
•    Stamp Set: Bravo (135380)
•    Inks: Basic Black (140931); Reinkers:  Daffodil Delight (119672), Pumpkin Pie (105229), Melon Mambo (115662)
•    Paper: Shimmery White (101910), Basic Black (121045)
•   Other:  AquaPainter (103954)

Thanks for reading! I hope you enjoyed this simple and fun technique today! Enjoy!

Have a Cuppa: You are Tea-riffic!

Posted on April 6, 2016April 4, 2016 by Josee

Hello!

Today's card features Have a Cuppa– a super cute set that is not only great for Mother's Day cards, but cards for any wonderful lady on your card giving list!

anicecuppa

How To Make It:

1.    Adhere Designer Series Paper (DSP) piece to card base with SNAIL Adhesive.
2.    Run Whisper White cardstock piece through embossing folder then adhere to left side of card base with SNAIL.
3.    Using largest teacup die, cut out 2 (Melon Mambo and Crushed Curry DSP). Using smaller teacup, cut out 1 in Bermuda Bay DSP. Using Wisteria Wonder DSP, cut out swirly die and adhere to Crushed Curry cup with tiny dabs of liquid glue.
4.    Die cut spoon out of silver foil sheet. Set aside.
5.    Stamp lemon slice on Crushed Curry cardstock with Crushed Curry ink. Trim with Paper Snips. Snip center of lemon about ¼” and adhere to Melon Mambo teacup with liquid glue on the back of the cup.
6.    Arrange the 3 cups as a stack and adhere each cup to the next with a little piece of SNAIL making sure that the entire piece will fit within the white embossed piece but don’t adhere it to the white base yet
7.    Stamp tea-riffic sentiment twice on Whisper White scrap. Die cut with the tag framelit that is 1” wide.
8.    Adhere twine to back of top teacup then adhere teacup piece to white embossing folder with Dimensionals
9.    Arrange the twine so it will loosely come out of the top cup and extend to the bottom right of the card. Staple twine to tag and cut off any excess twine.
10.    In about 2 places, dab the tiniest amount of liquid glue where you want the twine to stay. Let dry.
11.    Using envelope die, cut out 1 liner in same DSP you chose for the card base. Insert into white envelope. Fold before adhering so it sits nicely then adhere with a few pieces of SNAIL.

Measurements:
•    Bermuda Bay card base : 4-1/4” x 11” scored at 5-1/2” and folded
•    Whisper White: 2-3/4” x 5” plus a scrap for the teabag tag
•    Have a Cuppa  DSP : 4” x 5-1/4”
•    Crushed Curry scrap large enough to stamp the lemon on
•    Crushed Curry Baker’s Twine: about 6”

Supplies:
•    Stamp Sets: A Nice Cuppa (140683)
•    Inks: Crushed Curry (131173) and Bermuda Bay (131171)
•    Paper: Bermuda Bay Cardstock (131197), Whisper White Cardstock (100730), Crushed Curry Cardstock ( 131199), Have a Cuppa Designer Series Paper Stack (140567) and Silver Foil Sheets (132178)
