Beate’s Weekend Challenge

Posted on October 27, 2007October 27, 2007 by Josee

Here is a card made with such a fun fold!! I made this card for Beate John’s weekend challenge using her Z-Fold Tutorial on her blog. As a new blogger, this is the first time I’ve done one of these challenges…how fun!

The design was also inspired by Marie Kirkwood’s card that I received in a swap.

Garden Whimsy-Rockin’ and Rollin’

Posted on October 26, 2007October 26, 2007 by Josee

This card is using the stamp set, Garden Whimsy….my absolutely FAVOURITE stamp set!!! I call this my “feel good” set, because it really does make you feel good when you use it! Every card I make with it turns out lovely!

If you don’t have this set yet, fill out MY HOLIDAY WISHLIST   and make sure to ask Santa for it!

Butterfly

Set: Garden Whimsy

Cardstock: Almost Amethyst, Lovely Lilac, Whisper White

Ink: Almost Amethyst, Lovely Lilac, Whisper White Craft Stamp Pad

Accessories: 2-Way Glue Pen, Dazzling Diamonds Glitter, Eyelets

Technique ALERT:

To achieve the 2 colours on the butterfly, I used the “Rock ‘n Roll” technique.

First, you ink the stamp in the lighter colour, then ink the edges of the stamp on a darker colour rocking it around so you are only touching the edges! I love this technique, so fun and simple!

Of course, the butterfly was also calling out for glitter!

Happy Stamping! Josee

Joy Card

Posted on October 18, 2007October 24, 2007 by Josee

This beautiful card was created by one of my downline, Tracie St. Louis. I fell in love with it the minute I saw it, and know you all will too. It’s using the Love & Joy Stamp Set from the Holiday Mini Collection Catalogue.

Love & Joy Card

The part I love the most about the card is how she used some of the Holiday Mini Designer Wrapping Paper as a layer. Not only is this paper absolutely GORGEOUS, it can be used on so many different projects other than wrapping gifts!!!! And, and, and…..to top it off….the Satin Ribbon featured on page 22 of the Mini is made to match; how great is that?!

If you’d like more inspiration on making your Christmas cards…make sure you Register for one of my Upcoming Christmas Card-Making Class on Oct. 25 or Nov. 9th, visit my CLASS PAGE to register.

Not local?! Get my class to go!

Happy Stamping! Josee
