Hello!

This weekend is Father's Day weekend! If you have a special dad in your life, make sure you let him know how much he means to you 🙂 Here's a card idea for that special guy.

HappyBirthday Everyone, Bohemian Borders; StampingJo

This card started with a Basic Black card base and a layer of Smoky Slate. Then take a Whisper White layer and stamp the NEW Bohemian Borders with White Embossing powder and heat set. Then take a brayer and some Basic Black ink and roll over the embossed images allowing different variations in the ink to get that ombre look. Wipe the excess ink off the embossed images.

Stamp the sentiment from the Hostess stamp set, Happy Birthday Everyone onto a strip of Whisper White and then punch the ends with the Banner Triple punch and adhere onto the card with dimensionals.

Good Morning!

Have you got a graduate to celebrate this month? Check out this quick and easy card!

Here are the supplies used on this card:

Measurements:

Whisper White cardstock scrap 3” x 3”, 4” x 5 ¼ for the inside of the card.
Smoky Slate cardstock 5 ½” x 8 ½”
Basic Black cardstock 1” strip to angle cut into mortar board
Gold Vellum 4” x 5 ¼”
Gold Foil scrap to cut tassel
Gold Twine – 3”

Instructions:

Stamp the balloon image in Crushed Curry ink on the Whisper White cardstock.
Stamp the words “Happy” and “graduation” in Tuxedo Black ink.
Cut out the balloon shape with the Balloon Framelits in the Big Shot.
To make the mortar board place the 1” strip of black cardstock in the Stampin' Trimmer at an angle – so that the edge is lined up with the diagonal on the grid boxes printed on the trimmer, and cut it. Then slide it over an inch and repeated..
Using the tassel framelit from the Balloon Framelits, cut a tassel from the Gold Foil Sheets.
Attach the polka dot Gold Vellum to the Smoky Slate card base by putting a small amount of adhesive behind each gold polka dot so that the adhesive does not show through to the front of the card..
Attach the Gold Twine to the back of the balloon shape with a dimensional.
Attach the balloon to the card with dimensionals.
Attach the grad hat to the card with a dimensional.
Attach the tassel to the hat with adhesive.

You’re Sublime

Good Morning!

Can you believe that it is already mid-June?? How? My kids are already in their last week of school! I just can't believe how fast time flies, why didn't winter seem to go this fast? Sigh… Looking forward to the summer, but I really hope it doesn't fly by as fast!!

Today, I want to show you one of the NEW stamp sets in the NEW 2015-2016 Annual Catalogue! It's called You're Sublime, a super cute set and this is the first card I have made with it.

You're Sublime by StampingJo

I started with the Pacific Point card base and then added a layer of Whisper White. I used the NEW Watercolor Wash background stamp with some Soft Sky ink and a bit of Pacific Point marker added to it. I sprayed the inked up stamp with a light mist of water before stamping it onto the Whisper White layer.

Then I stamped the little submarine in Tuxedo Black ink and colored it with a Smoky Slate marker, adding some color with Real Red on the hearts and Pumpkin Pie on the fishes. Before adhering the Whisper White layer to the card base, I wrapped some of the NEW Silver Thread onto it and used some NEW Tear & Tape to secure it to the back and adhere it to the card base.

For the final details, I used some Rhinestone Basics to add some 'bubbles' coming from the sub and then added some of the NEW White Perfect Accents to the submarine windows for some shine 🙂

Cute isn't it? I love how this one turned out.

Stamper’s Dozen Blog Hop: Bold Brights

Good Morning!

Welcome to this month's 'Beautiful Bold Brights' Blog Hop! This month's Blog Hop kind of left the door open wide for interpretation 🙂 Our theme was to use the colours from the Bold Brights Color Collection- talk about being able to go anywhere from there!

Here is where I ended up 🙂

Flowering Flourishes, StampingJo

I started with the base layer of Tempting Turquoise, then added the next layer of Old Olive. On top of that I used Whisper White and stamped that using the Flowering Flourishes stamp set to create a bit of a background. I used Stampin' Write markers to ink up each stamp with the different colors: Old Olive, Rich Razzleberry, Daffodil Delight and Tempting Turquoise. Then I used the sentiment from You've Got This to fill in the bottom.

I added Rhinestones to some of the flowers and finished it off with some Whisper White Satin Ribbon before adhering it all to the card base.

I thought I would show you a 'must have' from the NEW 2015-2016 Annual Catalogue! It is the Gift Bag punch board! Check out the cute gift bags it makes!
